Kidder Roofing just completed our new roof in two days. The process from start to finish was painless. Mike was responsive and professional, and the price was fair and reasonable. Like the other reviewers, I called several companies and most didn't even call back. I got one other quote, which was substantially higher than the one from Kidder. Mike called me back within hours of my message and came out the next day to give me a quote. He worked with my schedule to find a convenient time to complete the job. Our pool is very close to the back of the house, and I was worried about dirt and debris landing in the pool (roofing is a messy business.) Mike personally made sure the pool was covered with a tarp to keep shingles and nails from landing in it. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend Kidder Roofing!

There is no need to bother with any quotes besides Mike's. He, himself, comes to inspect and prepare the quote and continues to work closely with you throughout the process. I would like to add that I recently spoke to someone whom has been working in the roofing supply business for over 20 years. She shared, unsolicited, that if she needed a roof right now that she would choose Mike Kidder. I already felt good about my decision to have Kidder replace my roof, and her comment made me feel even better.

Fast, efficient, kind and knowledgeable. Mr. Kidder and the entire crew were professional and friendly from start to finish. I am very pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend them to anyone.I echo the reviews of others in that Mr. Kidder promptly answered my request for a quote for a roof replacement, came out personally to inspect and quote, and stayed in close contact with me through the entire process. Not only was Mr. Kidder one of the few who actually called me back with a quote (I called 11 companies, 2 of which called me back) but his quote was far better than any other. The job was completely finished in three days!

This is a review with high marks for Kidder Roofing, not because they installed a roof on my house, but because they did not install a new roof.I recently was getting estimates for a new roof because my insurance company had given me grief on my 4 point inspection. The original 4 point inspector said that my two sort of ‘flat’ roofs over the front porch and the florida room should be replaced and the main roof of the house only had a couple of years left. This four point inspection was done in Feb. of 2016.One of the roofing companies that came out said that I should change the pitch on the two ‘flat’ roofs. The second company that came out said that the pitch on the two flat roofs were fine, there were no signs of water pooling on them, but the main roof was getting worn and it would be a good idea to replace it.Mike Kidder, of Kidder Roofing came out and looked at the roof. Basically, Mike said that he would love to put a new roof on my house, because he’s in the business to do so, but that my roof was beautiful and didn’t need to be replaced right now. He estimated that it had maybe 4 – 5 years of life left in it. He explained that there were a lot of seams and angles, all of which were in very good shape. If I was not experiencing any roof leaks, then his advice was not to do the roof right now.Needless to say, when the roof gets a bit older and truly needs to be replaced, I will be calling Kidder Roofing and inviting them to the party. It is a rare business owner that would be so honest, especially when he had a customer sitting in front of him where two other roofing companies went along with the party line that the roof should be replaced. I truly believed that I should have been getting a new roof now, and Mike had the integrity to disagree and advise me not to have the work done quite yet.Additionally, I was also considering switching to a metal roof, which is 2 – 3 times more expensive than a traditional asphalt roof. Mike also explained that here in Florida, metal roofs are not going to last appreciably longer than asphalt roofs to justify the added expense. Again, while he said he would be happy to put a metal roof on my house if that is what I wanted, he advised against it for the reasons previously mentioned.I, too, had checked reviews with the BBB and on the internet. Based on the feedback that Kidder's roofing work was done well, and coupled with their honest approach to dealing with people, I gave Kidder 5 stars and will have them do my roof when the time comes.

I had a signed contract with Michael Kidder and he never showed up to start the job. His son first came to my home and gave me a quote for $11,500. I called Kidder Roofing after acquiring other roof replacement quotes. Michael Kidder came out and told me that he did not realize that I had two roofs to remove before he put on the new shingle roof. So, he upped the price by $1,000.00 which I agreed. Michael did tell me that it would not be until the first or second week of April 2018 for him to start the job. No problem, I had all the necessary paperwork completed and notarized and sent to my mortgage company. I waited and waited and did not hear from Kidder Roofing so, I called Michael Kidder. He started to give me excuses that he did not receive the signed commencement to work. No big deal, I emailed the document to him. Then he told me that he could not get insurance for a two story structure. I figured that was a lie and very unprofessional. I asked Michael if he wanted to do the roof job. He finally told me that he did not want to do the job because he priced the job too cheap. Michael Kidder was extremely unprofessional. A man that shakes your hand and signs a contract to perform work and then tells you that he does not want to do the job because he felt he priced the job to cheap is not a good man. His son priced the job and Michael Kidder priced the job. Maybe they increased their prices since the hurricane this past September taking advantage of people.

I called five roofers for quotes to replace my roof and I heard back from two (three if you count the one that called me back a month later). Mike from Kidder Roofing contacted me quickly, provided a quote the next day and answered all of my questions--even calling me to explain after emailing back and forth with me.The price was competitive, the turn-around was fast, and my new roof is gorgeous. He even emailed me the photos of the rotten decking so I could see what the extra charge was for.His crew was efficient and polite, and they cleaned up everything perfectly. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I looked up different roofing companies on BBB. Kidder had an A+ rating so I decided to call after work. I called three different roofing companies late Monday afternoon. Kidder roofing was the only one to pick up right at that moment. The other two either didn't respond or took longer than 24 hours to call back. Anyways, I let him know that I had an odd small leak that no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix. I am due to give birth any day now and let him know that I needed this fixed asap! He asked me what time he could come over to take a look. He worked with the times that my husband was home. My husband called me today and let me know that he was honest with his information and gave us a decent quote on the roof repair. We will be using Kidder again!

This is the first time I am writing an online review. I saved a $1000 dollar by choosing Micheal Kidder roofing. He is an honest professional and his team of roofers were very respectful. I am happy with the work they did and they took care to not damage my garden.One more thing to mention, he did not charge to come out to Safety Harbor and inspect my roof.

Mike just left my house. He found one leak and another possible and fixed them both. He then inspected the rest of the roof free of charge and told me that my roof was in good shape and wouldn't need to be replaced for years. Mike Kidder is honest and incredibly affordable and I recommend him to anyone that needs roofing service.

Great experience, and a very honest guy! We had a leak and found Kidder Roofing on google based on past reviews. Michael came out and gave us a couple of options for the repair. One of which was to do the job myself and save on labor cost and a more extensive job. He took the time to tell me exactly how to do the repair. His advice worked well, and saved a lot of money.

Micheal Kidder came out to look at my roof and a small leak. Found the problem in 2 minutes . He then told me how to fix it myself . Also told me I did not need a new roof for at least 5 years .
