E-Star Roofing hit the highest score on my scale of service quality, price competitiveness and project timing. The office manager and the crew were very responsible, knowledgeable and professional from all perspectives at all stages. Some specifics: used high quality materials, closely followed the installation code, passed the new roof inspection with compliments from the City inspectors, neatly cleaned up after themselves when the job was completed.Without any doubts, dealing with E-Star was a pure pleasure for me compared to other subcontractors I’ve dealt with in the past on my new construction project. I would highly recommend this incredible company to anyone who wants to save time and money for their roofing projects without any stress. I wish there would be other building constructors following such high quality service and responsibility standards as the E-Star Roofing company does.

STAY AWAY. Moved into a new home that had a new roof installed by this company. 2 months later we had a heavy rain from tropical system. 2 separate leaks. They came out and said one was because previous owner did not want to pay extra for a new vent fan, and they couldn’t explain the other one. Refused to cover under their warranty.1 year later, ceiling in our bedroom collapses after a rain. Inspector said was roof leak. They came out to repair. Next rain, still leaking. Had to come out 3 times to get repaired. Refused to pay for cost of ceiling repair, even though insurance inspector said clearly roof installation error.Horrible quality and horrible sense of responsibility.Services: Roof repair, Roof installation

Even though the roofers returned to 'repair', they were inexperienced and just made it worse. E-Star is a very professional and prompt company. Roofing is tough and very weather driven work and E Star has always come through for us. Scott and E Star have done 3 roofs for us and every time the work has been great, the material is high quality, and the crew is beyond professional at all times. Scott and his crew put a new roof on my home in 2014. Recently, I had him come back out to look at an unrelated drainage issue. During his inspection, he noticed that the materials used when he re-roofed were showing accelerated wear. He recommended that I file a claim with the manufacturer of the shingles. He provided assistance during the process and communicated with the area Representative. The company agreed with his assessment and I ended up with materials and labor to get my entire roof replaced. Thank you for caring about your customers long after the job is done Scott!!!!

I’m not a big reviewer, but I am a small business owner so I can appreciate its importance. I thrive on exceeding my customers’ expectations and Estar did just that for us. They made our new roof experience pretty awesome. Scott was great to deal with, Super chill. Julie worked out all the details and everything went as planned. Alex and crew worked long hours in scorching heat and produced a first class roof. Neighbors stop by to admire it. My wife eats it up. It’s not often you get to experience great quality, great pricing, and great service anywhere these days, but Estar delivered. They beat our only other quote by 27%. Icing on the cake.

Their follow through and communication leave a lot to be desired. The quality of the work and material (TPO) is good though.Our job was delayed multiple times and I had to call them to find out. In other words, the days they said they would show up, I had to call them to find out when they would show up only to find out it would be a few days more before they arrived.We paid extra to have additional insulation installed. When the crew started to install the insulation it was half the thickness we contracted for. After multiple phone calls with the office and the sales person, they stated is was new material that performed twice as good as normal so only half the thickness was required and they would get me a brochure explaining it. That document never showed up. Months later when the city inspector showed up to finalize the job, she said she had never heard of such an insulation. Now I wonder if I got ripped off for the upgraded insulation price. The inspector did say they did a very good job installing the roofing.After they completed the installation, there was a large pile of left over material and debris. When the sales person came by to collect the remainder of the payment I told him I couldn't pay until the pile was removed. The next day a guy came and removed the pile with no regard for saving the completely usable material. Very unfortunate to see that kind of waste.Ultimately I'm happy with the job but be prepared to hound after the contract is signed.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. Below I have included some the email we sent to Estar.To whom it may concern at E-Star Roofing,I am writing regarding an incomplete roofing project and the abysmal service we received throughout the process of working with E-Star. Back in April I was given your contact information as a roofing referral from an acquaintance who spoke highly of your work. After getting quotes/estimates from a few local roofing companies, we decided to go with E-Star. On May 3, 2018 we signed the paperwork to get our front roof repaired and put a new graded flat roof over our living room. We set up the appointment to have both parts done at the same time.About a week before the scheduled date, a flatbed truck stopped by (without any notice) and dropped off material in our front yard. We assumed this was normal and that work would proceed as planned the following Thursday. Due to weather you had to reschedule, but we were not informed of the change in a timely manner and missed work due to this lack of communication. I took off of work for an entire day to be here while work was being done and waited, but nobody showed. Later that day I called your office and spoke with your representative, at which point she told me that they had to move the date back because of rain and had just forgotten to inform us of the change. While I completely understand that you cannot control the weather, I lost a day of leave because of this. We were rescheduled to come Monday, but again because of the rain it was pushed back. This time we were notified by email .... then we are pushed back to Wednesday. Wednesday I was deploying back out to the Middle East with the Air Force. We were certain roof would be done before I left!Wednesday morning the work team showed up, and I was able to speak with them shortly before I left. When I asked the guys that showed up if they were there to repair the front roof and fix the back roof as planned, they said they were only there to do the back roof, and that somebody else would probably be coming to do the front roof. We showed the workers where everything was, and I headed to the airport to deploy overseas. About 30 minutes later my wife calls me upset because the roofers are suddenly saying that they're not doing the front roof because we don't have enough tile despite the fact that Eli came by and looked at everything before giving us a quote. Also, they said that it was going to be another $1,500 to do the flat back roof because they have to remove the stone around the chimney, saying it was rotting around the edge of the chimney. Before we agreed to use E-Star the roof had been fully inspected and everything should have been included in the estimate. They told us this “new” issue without any deconstruction to the roof, so it should have also been visible when the initial quote was given.So here I am at the airport about to fly into an active warzone without access to WiFi, and my wife is saying that not only can you guys not do the front roof because you now think you will break too much tile, but that the flat roof price has just doubled because of stone around the chimney. Your team then leaves without talking to her. After I get this call, I call Eli directly to find out what is going on before boarding the plane. Eli goes over to the house and says they are going to have to get a 3rd party person to come out remove the stone and redo the chimney after the roofing is done. Still wanting to give E-Star a chance, I told Eli go ahead and get me quotes so that we can complete this project before getting any deeper into storm season. Eli says he will have a quote for us by the end of the day. 4 weeks later I returned from my deployment and find out that Eli has not called my wife back or emailed with a quote, and that about a week before I returned your guys came and picked up all the materials that had been sitting in the yard for weeks, again without any notice before enter our property.This whole process has been a nightmare

Be very wary of future “company restructures” that will invalidate any of the workmanship warranties you think you have. We had a roof installed by the predecessor company, Above Average, 2 years ago that carried a 10 year workmanship warranty that is now leaking. When approached about honoring the warranty for work they did previously, we were in turn presented the opportunity to pay for a service call not under warranty.Morale of the story...do a bunch of “below average” work, have enough issues that you have to close that company down, open a new company under a different name, buy everyone new t-shirts with the new logo, then see if you can’t drum up new service work for the new company fixing all the mistakes you made under your last company.Right on...
