The Best way to experience the Everglades!! Doing a private tour is the only way to see this amazing eco system. We took a multi-day tour through the mangroves and big cypress stands. We also saw all types of wildlife from alligators, herons, hawks, kites, egrets, etc. Tod is an amazing guide who is very knowledgeable and accommodating in every way.

My wife and I booked a private kayak tour with Tod and were completely blown away on how incredible this tour was. We learned so much about the ecosystem and history of the Everglades. We saw alligators, birds, plants, and a 400-year old cypress tree! Tod is definitely an expert when it comes to the Everglades and he makes sure to take time to teach and point out things that many other tour companies/guides do not do. What an amazing experience! We loved the mangroves and seeing alligators in the wild! Tod was absolutely incredible! He was so patient and kind on the trip and great with my kids and even brought delicious snacks! We booked the 3.5hrs private Kajak Tour in the Everglades and it was amazing! Our Guide Brandon guided us through the rivers and mangroves of the Everglades and he was great. It was the first time for us in a Kajak without prior experiences but he was able to teach me successfully to have a great trip! 🛶Despite having the trip during summer time, we saw great wildlife with alligators, tarpons and ospreys. I can highly recommend the trip to everybody who wants to have a REAL Everglades experience IN the Preserve and not outside.

We booked a private night paddle with Tod on the Turner River. Super awesome experience! Have paddled the Turner during the day a few times but this was a whole new adventure. Tod rigged up some lights under the clear kayaks giving us a great view of many different species of fish and of course some large alligators resting on the bottom.Tod is well versed on the ecosystems and the history of the Glades. It was a beautiful star filled sky and Tod schooled us on the different planets and stars. Would definitely do this tour again. It was quite adventurous and educational. Highly recommend Tod and Tour The Glades if you are looking for more than just your typical " float down the river big group paddling tour"

We had a fantastic experience with Tod and Tour the Glades! Tod was an excellent guide--highly experienced, knowledgable, patient, engaging, and kind. He was particularly great with my two children, ages 10 and 7. Of all the experiences we enjoyed at the Everglades, this was our very favorite. It felt so intimate and peaceful to paddle through nature. Tod taught us a lot about the wildlife and created many amazing opportunities for me to take photos. We saw over 50 gators (including babies) and even more birds! It was breathtaking. This was the Everglades at it's very best. The price was incredibly reasonable and the experience was top-notch. I highly recommend Tod and Tour the Glades!

You can understand why Tod has a perfect five star rating, I would give him six stars if I could. A lovely man, Tod was incredibly knowledgeable about the Everglades, and clearly passionate about the local ecosystem. We met at sunrise and were the first group out on the water for the first hour or so. The group tours we ran into just didn't look fun, and were probably too loud to attract wildlife.Private tour is the way to go, well worth the money.

We did the private birding tour with Tod. We saw at least 30 different bird species, gators, and other fun wildlife. Tod was so nice and had wonderful stores. Then we did a pontoon tour of the islands with Lewis! That was soo much fun as well. Loved learning about his family and their history with the area. Best tour of the Everglades! Our tour guide was so informative! He taught me and my daughters so many things about the Everglades, the ancient Cypress trees, saw baby alligators, birds of all kinds. Even had a charcuterie tray of fruit and chocolate in the middle of the mangrove forest. Was the highlight of our entire vacation. Highly recommend!!!

Best kayak tour in the Everglades. Tod is an excellent guide: competent, knowledgable, and friendly. Thanks to Tod, we were the first on the glassy river. He pointed out whenever a picture perfect moment was ahead. He has a great eye for finding wildlife and knows all the spots to search. The trip was peaceful and beautiful. What an amazing experience! Tod knew all the great spots in the area where we were doing our canoe tour. We felt save the whole time and it is obvious that he is extremely experienced in touring the everglades: He was able to show us baby alligators since he is watching them since they had been hatching out. He knows every detail about the glades - especially for the kids it was nice that he could even name the most of the species in German. Less translation work for the parents. ;-)We also had a very lovely picknick sitting in our boats. The tour with Tod really was the highlight of our trip to Florida!

Me and my parents did a kayak tour with Chris. It was amazing!! He taught us so much about the mangroves and everything that lives in them, the history of that area, and answered all our questions. We saw many interesting plants, birds, turtles and alligators and going through the mangrove tunnels was incredible. We also enjoyed a great snack provided to us halfway through. I highly recommend doing this tour. And the price is very reasonable for getting a private paddling experience.

Awesome experience for my wife and I. Christian, our guide really knew the area and helped maximize our experience. He knew a lot about the area in general, where particular trees, plants, and other cool things to look at were. If you live Tillandsia (air plants), they are everywhere and Christian knew where some of the larger and more beautiful ones were. We got to see a few gators (at least 5) and many other animals. Totally recommend taking a private tour and Tour the Glades was a perfect experience.

Our tour with Tod was awesome! We have two very young boys and we did a kayak tour through the Everglades with Tod. I appreciated his style of providing information as needed but really making the surrounding wildlife and nature the star of the trip. We will definitely be booking with Tod again when we come back out to Florida!

The BEST! Tod is a wonderful, personable tour guide and very knowledgeable about the Everglades. My husband and I toured with him twice and both tours were filled with wildlife and enjoyable experiences. We navigated through mangrove tunnels, open lagoons, and even grasslands. This company is great. For a knowledgeable well run tour use them to enjoy parts of the Everglades you would never see with a “big” tour company.For photographers: they can accommodate for light and conditions to get once in a lifetime kind of shots.We loved every minute.

It was a great experience, the nature changing from cypress trees to mangroves and Tod showing and explaining the beauty of it all (flowers and snakes) ! Christian took me out, teaching me to kayak at the start. This was a thrilling way to explore the Everglades ecosystem, and Christian was an outstanding tour guide. We saw only a small area, but it was precisely the area one needed to see to understand the Everglades generally. I was low to the water, experiencing the water, the plants, and the creatures living in and around these plants in an intimate way.This company is great. Enthusiastically recommended.

This was the most overwhelming experience for us in Florida. YOU CAN CHECK THE REST, BUT BOOK WITH THE BEST!!! There is not just one reason,, but many reasons that TOUR THE GLADES has a perfect 5 STAR RATING!Never having been to the area, there are multiple options from which you can choose. My wife and I were looking to do a Kayak tour, and I probably spent at least an hour reading Google reviews on other options. Now while I'm sure some of the negative comments may have been over exaggerated, I just wasn't comfortable with taking a chance on them. Then, I came across TOUR THE GLADES, and saw a perfect 5 STAR RATING. It seemed too good to be true, but here are several things that put TOUR THE GLADES way ahead of the rest.1) Their people and their great communication. Whether it was Chris, Lashaun, or Todd (the owner who I spoke to several times...wow), we always got great information in a timely manner that just made the experience comfortable and easy to understand. These folks are genuine and real. They truly care to make sure you are very happy with your experience.2) The Experience. The question is, do you want to be part of a massive group or 2 people with a guided experience. It was awesome! There might be companies that are a few dollars cheaper, but I would much rather tour the mangrove tunnels in the wilderness than right behind some condos as some groups apparently do.3) Local Knowledge. Some of the companies in this area employ less knowledgeable people from "the outside." The folks at TOUR THE GLADES are all local with a plethora of knowledge. They have invested their time and energy in the area, and it really comes through to you.4) Knowledge of Wildlife and the Environment. Chris was phenomenal! I mean, the guy is a Master Naturalist and there were no questions about the trip that he couldn't answer! He made the trip impactful with his information, pointing out many many things that I would have otherwise overlooked, stories of the area history, and great personality and helpfulness.I could go on, but trust me, you won't be disappointed if you're looking for the best experience you could possibly have.Thanks to everybody at TOUR THE GLADES for an amazing afternoon!!!
