Used big tuna 2-years ago to fix roof on previous home. Recently moved to a smaller home and during the first rain our patio roof leaked. Tried calling Danny(have known him for years)but no response. Stopped by the office(closed but saw that JSO stopped by and left a card). Vehicles out front but no one answered the door. Called the filling day with no answer and left message. It’s been a week…guess they are out of business!

Highly Recommend. We had a leak around our fireplace. The roof was only 2 years old but we had no warranty from previous roofer because he had passed and company was no longer in business. We called several recommended companies but no one called us back. First call to this company and received call back with prompt service and roof was repaired within 2 weeks. Big tuna helped us submit a very detailed wind claim with our insurance that got approved for full replacement. We had two companies submit claims that got denied for not enough information. Big tuna was responsive, detailed, quick and professional! Danny was a joy to work with and the workers who replaced the roof were fast and professional.

My roof was recently replaced by Big Tuna and worked directly with Project Manager Wayne Taylor. Wayne was very professional and very responsive to all my questions and anything I needed - email, texts, and phone calls - he got back with me right away. I was given the price up front, with no sales pitch for extra items or add-ons, which I appreciated. The job was scheduled quickly to meet our needs and the site was cleaned up afterwards. The dumpster got there the day before, and was picked up the day after. No hassles at all. Overall it was a great experience working with Wayne and Big Tuna.Service: Roof installation

Very Honest, Nice and Knowledgeable. I worked with David Bassett at a previous job years ago and has always been great to work with! I recommend this company hands down. He sent a gentleman to my house to help with roof leaks named Chris and he was just as good! If you need any work done call Big Tuna Roofing! They will let you know what needs to be done and not pressure you into trying to replace your roof if it doesn't need it!

Danny the Roof Guy at Big Tuna provided exceptional service from start to finish in the replacement of my roof in Jacksonville. He was very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls, and provided detailed responses to make the process smooth. From the information he provided it was evident that he was knowledgeable and had replaced many roofs in Jax. He made coordination efforts with my HOA for approval and pulled the necessary permits from the city in advance. His team replaced the roof on time and without issue. Do not hire! Roof installed 7 MONTHS ago still leaks in two places, still hasn't passed city permit. Non responsive. Continue to ignore my phone calls and messages. BEWARE!!!THE WORST COMPANY YOU COULD HAND YOUR MONEY TO!!!Just when I thought Big Tuna Roofing would redeem them self for all our previous horrible experiences, they failed yet again. I have never been SO disappointed in a company before. Yesterday they confirmed to install our Chimney Cap (nearly 4 months late mind you) and no called no showed. This Chimney Cap was paid in full, and said item wasn’t even measured or ordered until 2 months later. I really had hope that Big Tuna would shed a little bit of good customer service when contacted today, but yet it gets worse! They say that the reason they didn’t show up is because the roof they worked on yesterday didn’t pass inspection. I’m not surprised, especially after their roof work on our roof. Here’s the kicker - no reschedule appointment because they are all focused on their poor workmenship on yet another roof...Here’s a little background as to why I am writing this google review. I waited months before deciding to write this hoping Big Tuna would prove excellent customer service on the work they still owe us. Unfortunately because yesterday happened I feel the need to let the community know. I do not want anyone else to fall victim and waste their hard earned money for opened promises and lose their money, and still need to find contractors for their work, or worse end up like we did with more problems!Back in August this began when our Florida room roof was leaking, Big Tuna “repaired it”. September it leaks again... Big Tuna “repairs it again. 2wks after it is leaking AGAIN. When we contacted them they denied the repair, warranty, and decided to delete our reviews on Facebook. Big Tuna even stooped as low as it gets. Maitland Smith (Receptionist) wrote a false review on my business before my business had opened. Rebecca Monteau (Greg Monteou’s Wife) Greg Monteau is the Owner of Big Tuna; Rebecca Monteau too Libel Defamed my business and reported a falsified claim to the state board about my business before it had even opened in retaliation. Wait it gets WORSE!!! Rebecca Monteau went as low as verbally harassing my husband.Long story short we had our roof reinspected by a different company who quoted damages to be $1500. Because Big Tuna didn’t torch down our roll top roof on our Florida Room, and decided that 3 months after the leak was repaired 2 times they were going to be sneaky and trespass onto our property while we were not home to torch it down to put a bandaid on a huge problem... I came home at the right time while they were trespassing. Imagine that it’s now glued down, and still leaking in 5 spots even after 4 “repairs” and we hired another company to fix their poor quality, and horrible customer service.If I could rate Big Tuna Roofing negative 210 stars, I would. Do not waste your time, money, and find a different company before you too have worse problems than you began with!!!Just check out their reviews - the only people rating 5 stars are people employed by them! It’s really sad. Big Tuna does everything they can to delete the honest reviews of their company and replaces them with false reviews. BEWARE!!!

There are two types of people in this world; those who listen to me and those that do not but end up wishing they did.I recently experienced one of both types and I would like to reiterate their experiences. I recently referred both a neighbor and my brother-in-law who both needed a new roof. Both spoke to Randall Lewis and only one ended up having their roof done by Big Tuna Roofing.The one that did go with my recommendation was very happy with the job as it was completed on time and for the cost quoted. Because both wife and husband have construction careers they were most impressed with Randall and the crew that installed their roof.The one that did not choose Big Tuna chose instead a cheaper alternative. Although their initial quote was less, they soon realized that the true cost was much more both in terms of monetary concerns and with the time it took to complete the job. They have told me that they wish they had done the right thing from the beginning.Which type of person are you going to be?

I just moved in to a home where the previous owner used this company to replace the roof. The roof came out nice and passed all inspections. The problem is that during our walk through prior to closing and during moving in to the house my wife and I literally picked up at least 15 rusty roofing nails left around the property. After moving in we continued to find nails. To make matters worse in the past week my wife ended up stepping on nail in the grass in the front of the house and had to get a tetanus shot. The gentleman who came to cut my lawn also stepped on one in the backyard but luckily didn't break skin. Lastly, I ended up getting a flat due to, take a guess?!! A ROOFING NAIL. I called the company and they never called back or responded. In any trade cleaning up after yourself is just as important doing the work itself. Use this company at your own risk. I ended up buying a magnet to sweep the property and found more nails. I have a bag with all the nails I continue to pick up. I will try to upload pictures.

Shady business practices. Would never recommend. they have my money and never schedule and keep giving me run around.ask them to put schedule on writing on the contract. They removed negative comments. This roofers are very dishonest.

Worst experience ever. Not finished in time stated. Ruined the grass in the front yard. There's a hole in the roof that they tried to caulk but stopped when we called them out. The gutters are full of roofing nails and shingles. The pool is littered with shingles and trash. How much were you paid for this? Your salesman is no where to be found now. Cant get anyone with power on the phone. Who runs this company? John Cena? "You cant see me." They were referred to us and wont be referred again. Got your money though
