We are sitting in our great room listening to the rain falling on our newly installed roof from Universal. If their workmanship matches their exceptional customer service, then we are comfortable knowing our new roof will be dependable, in our harsh Florida climate, and provide us many years of quality service.We had the pleasure of working with Jon Baker who provided us with the best option for our situation. There was a leak around our chimney, so Jon made some minor repairs to prevent further water intrusion until our project could begin. Tentative scheduling for the install was the end of use February, but was able to get it moved up a week much to our pleasure. Jon kept us abreast of every step in the process which was comforting. My family was installing a new fence at the same time and Jon offered to take away some of the old rotten wood panels! Not surprising when I think about it because in my opinion, he is a man of character and integrity.The crew arrived as scheduled and everything went smoothly. Our install was completed in one day! Care was maintained so as not to damage our driveway or yard. All debris was picked up and I haven’t found a wayward nail yet.So, if you are in need of a new roof, please give Universal Roofing an opportunity to serve you. From beginning to end, Jon, Jarrod and team surpassed our expectations and we would gladly recommend them without hesitation!

The team at universal made our re roof as painless and seamless as possible. David did a great job at the initial inspection in setting our expectations for the project, and Stefan and Karson did an amazing job with communication prior to and during the actual project. This is because they provide honest, accurate estimates for all work, big or small.Recently, we were under a time crunch for work that needed to get done.We called the office & Marrissa empathized with our situation & gave her word to have one of the guys contact us.Both Marty & Daniel made sure to call us immediately & gave us an assurance that everything would be done. If you were to ask me, what is your choice for a roofing company? I would suggest to shop around and make your choice. After you decided, now you know why we went with Universal Roof and Contracting. Great experience from beginning to end. After some bad experiences with other roofing companies, I spent more time researching before hiring a contractor. I had a roof leak, again, and after getting multiple quotes, I went with Universal. Not only was Charles Huber very professional, he consistently went above and beyond to help me throughout the repair. He showed me where the previous company had incorrectly installed the roof shingles and vents and provided me with repair options. The repair was seamless and I am very happy with the results. Disappointed with communication after signing the contract. Materials came without any notice, we weren't given a start date until I called, and Universal was supposed to send a copy of our contract to the insurance company, so we could get the depreciated value check. I had to send the contract myself, so we could get the check before work starts. There are additional charges for work the insurance company didnt include. I'm concerned that Universal won't folllow thru to try to get these costs back from our insurance company, once the job is done.Since writing this review, the customer service has been top-notch! We have been notified several times a day on what is being done. They also found additional damage to the fireplace stack, that we were unaware of, but they have now repaired everything and it looks great! Today Aaron Mellick, the vice president, came by to check out the finished job and to personally thank us for our business. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a new roof!So here we are almost a year after signing our contract only to find out the original contract cost of the roof went up over $6,000. It would have been nice to have had a heads up that the cost was going to go up that much. Instead I just received an invoice showing how much our insrance paid for the roof.

We entertained several roofing companies that were referred to us by our neighbors for estimates on a new roof for our home. Marty from Universal answered all of our questions including all follow up questions that we had about the project. Marty was personable, professional and knowledgeable while he was in our home and worked with us on our color scheme. We got a new designer roof and new gutters and had our pool solar panels disconnected and reconnected which was all facilitated by Universal. Marty checked in during and after our roofing project which was appreciated! The crew that worked on our project did a great job. We had a few minor hiccups during our project, however, Daniel from Universal, was quick to resolve them. Daniel took the initiative to come out to our home and took care of everything to ensure we were satisfied. We are extremely particular with our home projects and the crew did a great job at meeting our expectations. We would definitely recommend Universal to anyone looking to get a new roof.

We first met with Charles and Marty at our kitchentable, in the dark with no power, after hurricane Ian. It's always hard to know who to trust in times like that, but we made the right choice to trust them. We were very impressed with their professionalism and knowledge of roofing, but even more impressed with their their genuine kindness.They spent a lot of time explaining everything to us that day and continued to stay in touch. They worked with the insurance company and Marty always got right back to me right away to answer any questions that we had. He is awesome! After getting extensive damage to our roof and gutter guards after a hail storm, my husband and I asked Universal Roofing to take a look. We had used them in 2015 after storm damage. Their estimator David Alger was super. He spent a lot of time looking at our roof and taking pictures to prepare himself to speak to an agent of our insurance company. He met with him as he surveyed our roof, and the roof replacement was ultimately approved, along with gutters and guards. David explained the process and turned over the reins to the production department. An extremely well presented construction outline was given to us and all items to date have been completed, except gutters and chimney siding replacement which has been scheduled for the near future. The Production Manager Daniel Elek could not have been more helpful. He made us feel as if we were their only customers, which is far from the usual. He made sure that any potential issues in the future could hopefully be circumvented. Saw that flashing by chimney was iffy and replaced that. Our on site supervisor for Universal Anthony Pianis has been by our side from start to finish, answering the many questions we had, reassuring us when necessary. Being a roofer himself in the past, he new the way things should be done. Only one way, the right way. It was very comforting, and we are very great full. I think any roofing company would love to have him- and Daniel- as an employee. I was referred to Universal Roof & Contracting by a friend of ours and they came highly recommended. Any time you are working with contracting companies, your guard is always up that things could derail at any time or that communication and status updates will be a challenge, or that estimates will be way off final expense. Much to my very pleasant surprise, not so with Universal Roof & Contracting. It was a fantastic experience and I cannot recommend them highly enough!I had the roof replaced on our house and met with Jon Baker for the initial consultation. He was very direct and honest, quoted me the estimate, and had color selection available immediately. He was also able to give us an estimate of install dates, which worked out exactly as planned. After receiving the contract from him for initial review, we had a couple of questions and he was highly responsive.Upon signing, we began receiving communication (email and phone) from our Production Manager, Danny Elek, who was just the same caliber of professional. The payment was easy and intuitive and Marissa Tyrrel was very helpful in giving me payment instructions and answering my payment questions.When the project got started, I got a call from our Project Manager, Eddie Alacan, who was fantastic. He kept me informed at every step of the process and let me know when they found some wood that needed to be replaced. He gave me reasonable estimates for the additional work (which they kept to!) and let me know when everything was completed. Knowing that I was busy working a full-time job, he would text me with updates and photos of the progress and completion. Excellent experience and even better than I was anticipating!Should we or anyone we know have the need for a new roof, they will be the first call without hesitation. Being a woman can sometimes be a disadvantage when it comes to construction issues. But not this time. When my insurance notified me that my homeowners insurance was going to do to an old roof, I asked a few friends that recently got new roofs. My friend Christy Goss, referred Marty with universal roof and constructing. I reached out to Marty . he made an appointment the next day to come out and look at my roof. I felt completely comfortable with him.. he explained everything to me very thorough. Showed me detailed pictures. We picked a day to do the roof to my surprise. They were able to start the roof a week earlier. This really relieved my anxiety. They started and completed the roof in just a couple days. It looks amazing and the quality was out of this world .Everyone was very detailed from the time they gave me supply delivery, rolloff, dumpster delivery, and start date. The crew on the roof did a fabulous job very kind very thorough and literally left no debris behind nor nails. After 18 years of Florida sun and rain, we needed a new roof. I contacted Devon at Universal Roof and promptly received a call back to set up appointment. We had contacted some other companies but they were slow to return calls or stated they could not complete a roof replacement for about 4-6 months as they were busy and with the pandemic it took a bit of time to get shingles. Devon came by and in a professional manner evaluated our roof and and gave us the information. Because of the roofing shingle issue the other companies have told us about, he stated he anticipated a month or so. That was less than others quoted and we were pleased with the entire interaction so we signed for a replacement after being given a choice of shingles.Imagine our surprise when I was contacted by the Universal office to schedule our replacement roof just a few weeks later!! Our new roof was installed within a month!A problem area was identified that could not be seen until the old roof was removed and I was immediately notified of problem and the cost to repair. I was expecting a huge amount (because my luck is usually like that) but it was SO reasonable!! Frankly I was surprised that it even covered the materials needed. Devon himself stopped by to check afterwards to see if all was well and if there were any concerns.We could not ask for more! Would definitely recommend. Although I never got to use the company for installation as my insurance company mandated I use their roofer, I wanted to reach out and write a review on behalf of Jon Baker from Universal.He met with my insurance companies field adjuster, prepared a report with photos and assisted with desk adjusters questions prior to replacement approval.Needles to say i was disappointed when i wasn't able to use them.Good guy, returned calls and followed up and was engaged in the process.I wouldn't hesitate to deal with John and am only disappointed that I couldn't use Universal for the replacement.
