Robbie was in charge of this project from start to finish and went WAY above and beyond. We had roof damage after Hurricane Ian. In fact our insurance company sent a contractor out to tarp the roof and they did such a bad job that when it rained we were grabbing buckets and trash cans because the roof was leaking even tarped! As soon as I told Robbie they were the contractor we were going with he sent someone out to make sure we didn't have any more leaks because it was going to take a couple weeks to get the permit approved and the shingles and everything needed to do the job. After signing the paperwork and confirming everything Robbie made two separate trips to my house to drop off samples so my wife could pick the absolute perfect color for what she wanted. After everything was decided Robbie said it would be 7-10 days for the permit so we were playing the waiting game at this point. HOWEVER, again Robbie went above and beyond and two days later (a Thursday) called the Permit Office just to see where abouts we were and they said he was approved and moving forward! Instead of making us wait Robbie called and said they could start the following Monday!!! A full week sooner. The guys came out and knocked out the roof and kept me informed during the entire process. Sent me pictures of the wood that was being replaced and everything. I know for a fact my roof is solid and will be withstanding any storms for the years to come, which gives me superior comfort and peace of mind considering we took considerable interior damage due to the roof damage we took during Ian. I can't thank Robbie enough for his professionalism, prompt, and courteous service throughout the entire process. As an up and coming real estate investor, and agent I know going forward that any properties I own or know of that need roof repair, R.F. RF Lusa completed a very complex roof replacement for our Gulf coast condominium complex. There workmanship was excellent, and they were completely fair with change order pricing for unforeseen work. When minor leaks arose due to heavy rains during the installation (to be expected in a large reroofing project), they took full responsibility, quickly corrected the problems, and paid for repairs. I am an architect with 40+ years in the business, and I can honestly say that RF Lusa is among the best contractors I have ever worked with. Had our roof recently redone and we used Lusa & Sons. They were professional and did a fantastic job. So much so that the Home Inspector who came by to do a 4 point inspection commented on what a good job the roofers had done on our roof compared to other roofs he has seen. I would highly recommend them. They are family owned and will do what it takes to make sure the job is done correctly.

Less than 1 star!!We got a quote for a new roof, it started off great. They were kind, cordial, had a competitive price. We read other reviews and many had positive comments. We should have done more research!Day 1 started with no site foreman on the job, the crew wasn't quite clear on what was going on or what they were doing! The entire project took FAR longer than needed. Every day, we were literally babysitting the crew, and continually following up with Robert asking why they were doing things backwards, installing shingles incorrectly, leaving SureNail strips exposed...the list goes on and on. After calling Robert, he did come out once or twice, however, that didn't resolve the ongoing issues we encountered. As they neared completion, we noticed patchy coloring in the shingles. We have communicated this, as well as time of day it is most visible, yet Robert would come out at different times of the day and continually claim he can't see any color differences. We provided photos and videos, he refuses to acknowledge or "see" anything and states we have to file a warranty claim. He also coincidentally can't see where the shingles were installed incorrectly (they are not staggered). It is very obvious!If you want a complete headache with your roofer, call Lusa.If you're looking for a crew that has alcohol on their breath after lunch and leaves paraphania in the yard where their trailer is, call Lusa.If you want a crew that doesn't know the proper steps to install a roof and continually has to re-do things to not leave things improperly exposed, call Lusa.If you want a crew that sweeps trash/shingle scraps into your attic through the roof vents, call Lusa.This company claims to have years of experience, however, their experience doesn't reflect quality work or a trusted expert in their field. Robbie Lusa and Dawn (in the office) were extremely helpful. Robbie explained the options available for fixing the roof on our commercial building in helping us decide the best alternative. They were responsive to phone calls and messages left for them, much better experience than I had with other local roofers in the past. Plus they stand by their work with a genuine warranty. Definitely recommend that you call them first before seeking any other local roofer.

Robert is awesome to work with and his team did an amazing job on my roof. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking to get their roof replaced. 4000sqft roof replaced and so far I've only found 1 nail in my yard that they missed.

We had a fantastic experience with them just two weeks ago - we had a tree fall on our roof above the garage - they came out and repaired it so we wouldn’t have any leaks - they gave us different options with a roof and venting system -then came back right away to put on a new roof - they even followed up to make sure we were satisfied with everything - we are very pleased with them. Great company - very professional too!

I had a complicated situation for my new roof and Joe Lusa was the only roofer that knew what to do. All the other roofers only knew the standard tear off, repair damage and put the new roof on. My vaulted ceilings require Poly-Iso decking to be installed first. The other roofers said they didn't know anything about this.Another big difference, Lusa, Inc installed 6 nails per shingle while I observed on my block the roofers only doing 4 nails per shingle. In Florida with the high winds, 6 is a must.They do not cut corners, and the crew was a pleasure to have around my house. Dawn at the office was so kind and helpful as well.
