I was looking to buy a house from this builder.It was cash payment so I asked if I’m not satisfied I’ll back off.They are very slow to do everything on time. They delayed my closing date for house not ready, there’s no power and for hurricane Sally which I accept. But my closing date was on 15 September before hurricane Sally.My private inspector inspected the house on 1st of October then I did a walk through on 9 October after they told me they fixed all flaws in my inspection file but actually they didn’t.The flaws were 2 exterior doors gaps, 2 roof leaks, bathtub drain slowly, and others.For leaks the first one I noticed and told them to fix it before my inspection but nothing happened.The house had a lot of paint spot and scratches and they did the last walk through with me without fixing them and we taped them before but they removed the tape without any correction.Their Realator Agent was helpful and trying her best but I couldn’t wait for that house even if they correct all issues which are not accepted for new house.So I backed off from this house.I don’t recommend this builder for anyone.Poor service, cutting corners to finish, dishonest, not reliable.YOU HAVE TO HIRE YOUR INSPECTOR IF YOU PLAN TO DO THAT MISTAKE AND BUY THEIR HOUSE.

We purchased our home from Forrest Homes a little over a year ago. From day one we had issues, we did our final walk through before closing, had a list of items not completed or done so with little to no concern for quality. We closed on our home and a year later, and several email and calls to the builder, and they won’t even respond. Our “home warranty” is as good as useless. The company’s project manager did fix a few small items after months of trying to get it done, once we were able to speak to him when he was working on another hone being built. But still have many issues with our home and the community in general. As well do the the other owners here. The owners are dishonest, and do not care about the product they are selling. Our community has a pool that we can’t even use because the county shut it down due to the builders not getting proper permits, and hiding it from the HOA. Our HOA found out through the county. I recommend looking for a builder that will give you a quality product and not duck out on you and your home.

Unprofessional and lazy are the best words I can think of to describe for Forrest Homes. Forrest Homes went out of their way to cut corners and only half-finish tasks.Starting from the outside in, the yard of the house needs to be completely redone. They will water it and make it look presentable for closing, but after walking on it for a few weeks, you will start to make unwelcomed decoveries. The roots to the grass are shallow at best due to the mountians of debris that are just covered up with a little dirt. This debris includes whole roof shingles, nails, 2x4s, an entire bag of concrete, and plastic bottles and trash. Because of all the debris, the grass will start to die the first time the weather is cold, dry, or overly rainy.The brick work is subpar for even the most novice of masons. The bricks were replaced three separate times dues to how poorly they were laid. They are still not completed, but I have decided to hire someone myself to fix them because the last person who came to fix them killed the remaining grass in the front yard by throwing bricks and mortar on it and never cleaning it up.The house itself is actually pretty well done, but do not expect it to be finished on or around the scheduled time and make sure to check everything on a weekly basis because they will install all the wrong sinks, countertops, and lights. The house was set to be completed on or before August 24th. During the first week of August, they told us that they were on track to complete by that date, so we informed our apartments that we would be leaving at the end of August. One week before the 24th, Forrest Homes told us they were behind and would not make that deadline, but they assured us that they would be finished before the end of the month and we would be in before September 1st. At this point, we started driving by the house daily to check what had been completed. For the next week, almost nothing was done. Long story short, we ended up with no where to live until the 20th of September.To summarize, have a professional check the grading and sod, have someone you trust check all the brick work, do not sign anything until everything is 100% what you want because they will not return calls once you close on the house (even if it is in the closing documents. It took 3 months to get a window and screen replaced), do not expect them to attempt to stay on schedule.

They built our last home and it was absolutely amazing. Now we are starting our final retirement home and chose them again for this custom home project.

Builder never stays in touch, never lives up to the contract and never follows through on stated repairs. I would never recommend this builder to anyone. Even if you like his model homes - RUN!!!

My husband and I closed on our home a few days ago and so far we have not had any follow up on when our punch list will be completed they have not completed or started the projects that were stated in our contract there has been very little concern about our needs since before and after purchasing this home We are not at all impressed with this builder or his staff .....dishonest no follow up I am thinking now that I wish we had looked at other homes and not jumped into this so quickly before buying from these people do your research I wish we had shame on you Forrest homes n steel construction you clearly look out for your bottom line n when you close the deal see ya bye
