I just got my roof done by this company. I now have a gutter that doesn't line up and bubbles in my shingles.I've asked nicely to fix my concerns. The inspector tried to lie saying its common and it needs to heat up. I told him I didn't feel that was true and wanted the areas replaced. He then told me the company has 48hours to respond. This was on a Monday at 5pm. No call and they showed up on Sunday (speaking no English). Not to mention I'm a nurse 3rd shift they have been told dozens of times to call and schedule a appointment so not sleeping for work.The issues were not fixed. They were trying to beg my boyfriend to tell the boss on the phone if looks good. My bf refused.The inspector text me on Monday saying he wants to come get the check that my bf approved the repairs. I text back telling him his information was not correct the roof looked worse and the gutter was not fixed.I said you want 20,000 from me then I expect it to get done right. He then asked if I was paying outta pocket or a insurance claim. I said what does that matter? He was rude and unprofessional.I then told him send the owner of A first choice roofing and see if he approves the roof? Don't send out another subcontractor that doesn't speak English or that keeps making things worse.After reading the BBB reviews I'm glad I held on to the money. They won't get a dime from me until it's done correctly. I have not heard anything back from them at this time.At this point I don't trust them. They hire and contract out and I'm not sure the roofers are even licensed.I attached some photos of the bubbling in roof and the gutter not lining up

Every aspect of my time with A-First Choice Roofing was awesome. When we ran into difficulties with insurance, they worked until it was right! I totally recommend this company and if I need a new roof in the future A-First Choice Roofing would be my only choice.

A First Choice replaced the roof on my Melbourne Beach home in June of 2018. It is still on and is not leaking. I figure this is good for a home roughly 400 yards from the beach. A few hurricanes, days of strong winds and lot salty air tend to take a toll on shingles but so far so good. I could have chosen any of several roofing contractors and ended up picking A First Choice and have not regretted it.

A First worked with our insurance company to assure we were able afford to get three roofs completed in our commercial condo complex. No one else would take the time because it was after a hurricane. It's been a few years and we have had no problems with the roofs to date!

A First Choice Roofing did a re-roof for my home back in 2020. My roof still leaked after the work was completed. Went round and round with this company over who was responsible for Leak. Ended up having to hire another company to make the repair costing me About $1500-$2000 more. The new company found Rottenwood that should’ve been replaced the first time around. Would not recommend this company.#2 It was not compromised stucco. I had to hire a stucco person on my own last minute because I was told by the “job site supervisor” that the flashing had to be replaced around the dormer, which I’m sure most companies that do roofing run into inevitably. A First Coice roof did not have The resources or Contacts as I was told that day to facilitate those repairs. The flashing was replaced and I wanted the stucco to be put back over the flashing as Anyone would want things put back the way they originally were. At that point, I was tired of haggling with first choice roofing and just wanted my roof to not leak And I knew first choice was not going to honor their work. So I never thought about taking pictures the day the new company came out to make the repair. A First Choice Roofing knew the Leak was there when they started the roof. Why wouldn’t a company have the resources to make such a repair themselves? It’s a big company. it’s part of roofing. It was an insurance claim and I would’ve been glad to have paid the extra money to have it fixed the day that they did the roof, Not later down the road. The new company that made the repairs couldn’t believe the wood rot that a first choice roofing left. I’m not one to make trouble, I don’t like to, except for when a company treats you poorly.

Had roof shingles replaced. When large delivery truck delivered materials it damaged my concrete driveway considerably. When I held back $2,000.00 of payment a collection agency came after me. I paid balance plus interest and still have a damaged driveway. Reached out to A1 Roofing for an explanation and they said delivery was from a third party, so not their problem. Also now my roof leaks!

Called them for an inspection, they came out claimed I had hail damaged, gave me a package and had me call the insurance company. Said they would be present during the insurance inspection, but they wanted to know the name of the inspector. Called First Choice back with the date and name of the inspector. They said they would be here AND THEN THEY DISAPPEARED. Called them 4 times the day of the inspection, left 4 messages, they never called back or followed up. The Insurance adjuster said I had NO DAMAGE and the process sounded like a scam. which is why the wanted the adjusters name. I don't trust them or some of these reviews. Do not do business with this company. The roof is experiencing leaks just three years after they replaced it. It was supposed to have a lifetime warranty, but that appears to be a lie, and they are not willing to take responsibility. Be careful with that company.

I've waited long to leave this review because I was actually giving a business time to get there stuff together if they were having a bad day. But now I've waited a while and I can say that this is truly probably the most unprofessional business I've EVER dealt with. Communication is the worst and they give constant excuses for subpar work. Roof was installed in Feb 2021 and I've had nothing but issues from the start. The laborers that do the roof install don't care and rip like they're trimming trees. Take a look at the photos I attached for example. Only to discover an obvious roof leak from the interior later in the year. Trying to get the roof leak handled now and still can't even get someone to show up at an agreed upon appointment time. It's like they don't even consider the roof of your home to be important. They don't want to work around customers with work schedules. They want the customer to work around them and still don't know how to show up for a scheduled appointment when one is finally made. Only giving two stars because there's an actual roof on my house...you don't want the future problems with this company though.***Update 2022***In November 11/2021 First Choice sub-contracted another company who came out and stated that they did not see any further leakage from the roof. They primed and painted the affected areas on the interior of my home. Fast forward to present and the same water leakage (ceiling stain) has appeared in the same exact spot. So far I am getting ping-ponged from the office to the managing member. I have insurance paying for a re-roof, re-screening of a pool enclosure and stainless steel tapcons all around the bottom of the pool enclosure. The managing member who came out wanted all the insurance money and assured me that they do all work weather damage related and would do all the work. The pool re-screening and stainless steel tapcons all around were not included in the invoice only the roof for the whole amount of the insurance. Come to find out, they only do roofing and not re-screening. $2, 535.93 they just want to keep. Verbally they said they will give me the money left over after the roof. Yeah, right. The member manager said he would write a new contract, but changed his mind. So far, they are doing nothing but taking all of my insurance money plus the deductible for just the roof nothing else. Slick sales people trying rip you off.

1/26 Update:This company has decided to renege on previously written agreements (including a payment arrangement for my hurricane deductible) and has taken on a very insulting and condescending tact of communication with me. I have pointed to consistently bad communication regarding processes and steps taken, but instead of doing better they choose to argue. My advice would be to steer clear of this company.This company approached me going door to door after claiming they were contacted by a neighbor for Hurricane Ian roof damage. The customer service and responsiveness to my multiple concerns has been completely inadequate and contributed to additional damage by their inaction.They have slow-rolled all scheduling or follow up with my insurance company to "obtain approval" beyond what was already approved. My insurance adjuster was in disbelief over their cited excuses not to commence work and the delays. They had me waiting months while they notified me of new questions each time I provided a deliverable which further extended the timeframe to begin repairs. They now refuse to schedule interior work where I've repeatedly advised was continuing to get further water damage due in large part to their failure to provide any mitigation on the damaged roof sections without repeated requests and notification that further water damage was occurring. Despite having insurance company approval to begin interior work, they will not even schedule the work (which is delayed by over two weeks) until whatever they submitted to my insurance company that they failed to follow up on or share with me, is approved.Despite my repeated notifications of troubles, the manager I've dealt with communicates only via text for complex discussions and never fully addresses my dissatisfaction or concerns.Services: Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof installation, Roof damage repair

First off Randy who came and did my inspection was great totally awesome worked with my adjuster and showed him exactly what was wrong with my roof two I can't remember her name but she came out to the house and did the contract with me did a great job showing me the colors to pick from and went through everything that they were going to do to the tee. 3 then the installers came Jose's been in the business for over 25 years and he did a superb job with his team installing my roof they came back fixed the minor a little repair and went the extra mile to make sure it was done right. Overall I was very pleased with a first choice roofing they did an A+ job. I definitely recommend this company to do your roof repairs or if you have your roof redone they use top quality products and they have top quality installers to do it right for you thank you again a first choice roofing. We bought a house that had the roof replaced by this company about 3 years ago (included 5 year warranty). We are experiencing a leak on our patio. They sent out a claims guy quickly, who said he knew nothing about roofs and just took claims pictures. A long while later I got an email from James Harris that it’s not their problem and it’s a leaking gutter. No inspection nothing, just, it’s not their problem. I said I wanted someone to come out and actually inspect it. August 5th he said he would get someone out there. There has been no further communication even after I emailed on August 21.

Alvin was very helpful and attentive. Alvin went out of his way to make sure the process was being done as well as followed up every time we had an update on our claim. Had my roof inspected following a major wind storm. Much to my surprise, my roof was missing a few shingles and several shingles were creased from wind damage. From the initial inspection to the finished product, I couldn't' be more satisfied. The sales & support staff and installation crew where extremely helpful and professional. They were extremely thorough answering all my questions and concerns. The admin staff of Foster, Lorie, Elia, ensured that all administrative documents were completed. Paul came out mid way through to inspect the progress. Reuven, Daniel and his crew were phenomenal! Out with the old, in with the new. With the exception of the new and improved roof, you wouldn't know they had ever been here. They left my home just like they found it. The new roof is beautiful! I would highly recommend A First Choice Roofing to my family, friends and others in my neighborhood.

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review... It is clear that this company does not care about their quality of work as the people who installed our roof did not pick up the nails around the perimeter of our property and they left tons of trash in our yard including nails, insulation, hats, clothing, food wrappers and drink bottles. It took us hours to clean up after them. We’ve had another roof replaced and we gave that company five out of five stars because they did amazing work. I gave this company two out of five stars because they did eventually get the work done so I’ll give them credit for finishing what they started but it took a really long time and there was a lot of confusion and mess along the way. NOVEMBER 2021. UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POSITIVE REVIEW: My roof that looked so nice when it was completed was actually a disaster in disguise. I have a pink stain of some kind that appeared within a few weeks after roof completion. I’ve contacted Steve a few times and he came out once to look. He said it’s from “pink chalk used to mark the roof, and it will eventually wash off”. It’s still there and he tells ME to contact the GAF Warranty people myself. I also have had 3 different people on my roof to clean gutters and leaves. All 3 say there’s “very soft spots that someone could fall through”, on my roof. I have had it inspected, but the “inspectors” didn’t go up on the roof and I am certainly not able to climb up there to check their work. I also have an area with what appears to be a drainage problem or a leaky gutter that is going through to my roof overhang and staining it. I have sent an urgent email to A-First Choice Roofing, but it’s been ignored. So I just want to warn others before they make the same mistake that I have made. Below is my first review which the company tells you you’ll get $100 off your roof if you write positive for them. It was an honest review at the time.“AFirst Choice Roofing did an excellent job on my roof. I recently had a roof installed by A first choice roofing. I must say it was the most painless process ever. The person who walked me through the process was Alvin. There was recently a tornado in the area. My roof sustained some damage. Alvin got us approved for a new roof! We were thrilled, surprised and happy door the great news. The whole process was explained and through if I needed anything or had any questions I could call him on his cell and he always responded quickly to my questions. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of a new roof.

A First did a great job, I would recommend this company. The rep did a great job explaining how they work with the insurance company and handle the paperwork - no money to them until the job was done (lots of scammers want money up front - dont do it!) The installers showed up as scheduled and worked like crazy to get the job completed. The roof looks great and they left the job site clean. I could not be happier with the end results.
