We bought a brand new house from Element, ended up hiring our own interior designer to make the home “custom”. From the beginning they were a very nice family owner company however, they were very unorganized. It took forever to get allocated budgets, completion of our house was delayed, and i was hit with change orders at closing which i was never made aware about when the changes were made. In april it will be 2 years since we have moved in and are still “waiting” on their cabinet contractor to adjust all the kitchen/bathroom/and game room cabinets ! I have given them enough time to complete the punch list and every time the response is they weren’t aware things went complete dispute me sending MULTIPLE emails regarding all of the issues. There is not attention to detail for a multi million dollar home as you can tell in the photos. All of our cabinets are uneven or sticking out. I wouldn’t consider them a custom home builder since there were things that our designer had picked out that they were not able to do. We also has to wait a year to get our game room cabinets which we got only after i posted on social media.Service: Custom home design

Element finished our home in September 2019. Through the years we have used several contractors and element homes have by far been the best. Our project manager Kyle took the best care of us and made our dream come to life. You will not find a better group and better quality of a home than element homes.

I was looking to have my home build in Windermere, FL Element was 1 of 2 builders in the community depending on what property you choose. I picked a property that they are building the homes for. I spoke with the President and told him that I wanted a quote . Met with him and gave him plans of my home. He was suppose to get back to me in a couple days. 1 week passes, no call no email. Week 2 passes, no call no emails and I emailed him, text him and he never responded. Week 3 no call and no email no text. I then have to send him a text message that was not very kind and then he finally sends the quote. The quote was not detailed and it was over priced. My home is a 3 million dollar home. He finally calls me and is so apologetic telling me that he dropped the ball and he is so sorry. He said he was sorry 1000 times. I gave him my peace of mind along with telling him I don't trust him and if I'm to give him 4 million dollars I would not trust someone that does not call, email or respond or text and takes 1 month to get numbers back to me and the numbers are over priced. He continues to say he is sorry and I tell him that I will give him a 2nd chance. I tell him to get me a detailed estimate with a lower price along with lowering his cost plus %. He gets me back a 2nd estimate in a week and its detailed but now he has a extra cost of $208,000.00 for a Supervision fee! Granted he already has his 20% mark up. Now he is trying to rip me off and charge me more fees that are not necessary. An extra $208,000.00. I then ask him in the email to call me to discus this. He never returned the call at all. If he was the last builder in the world I would not let him build my home. He is not trustworthy. I felt like if I gave him any money he would take it and run and try to totally rip me off. If you run into this builder run the other way and use someone else.
