I contracted with Talco Construction to do my roof in Sep 2019. While initially the salesperson was attentive, once I committed to the work, her attentiveness declined. I had to follow up on the permit and scheduling, and have them come back out for additional clean up of debris. After the roof was done, I had to contact her to adjust the bill for the 2 pieces of plywood she had promised at no charge. I didn't bother with writing a review at that time since I was happy with the appearance of the roof.Fast forward 4 years (2023) and I noticed some fascia board was falling off the side of the house. We found dry rot wood underneath. I reached out to Talco asking that someone come take a look. I contacted them first by email with pictures, and then 5 times by phone between June to July 2023. There was no response to the email but by phone the very nice admin told me she delivered the message and was told someone would call me back to schedule a visit. No one ever returned my call.Unsure how water was getting to the wood underneath the fascia or if there was a more serious problem, I contacted my homeowners insurance. That adjuster came to inspect the damage and roof. The adjuster deemed the dry rot wood cause to be shoddy workmanship; perhaps not replacing wood that should have been replaced during the roof installation. There was no current leak. This is when the 5th call was made to Talco to deliver the adjuster's findings and again ask that someone come out. I never heard from Talco.Fortunately for me, the adjuster also found hail damage from the May 2023 hailstorm and authorized a new roof. The dry rot wood was limited to 3 feet of wood and was repaired with the installation of the new roof in August 2023.I also question the quality of the shingles installed by Talco in 2019 that could be damaged by hail that wasn't severe enough to ping our car parked in the driveway during the hailstorm.Often companies put their best foot forward when they want your business then drop the ball afterwards. As a previous customer, I deserved a return call from Talco but they completely ignored me. I'm sharing this experience as an alert for future customers to consider as they evaluate doing business with Talco Construction. Unbelievable service with unbelievable communication. If other contractors in this area were half as reliable and as honest as Joe Cassidy and Brian Lancaster, they might give them a run for the money. However, until they have a professional epiphany and figure out how to run their business instead of lifting and tricking out their company vehicles, Joe and Brian are more than worth the time investment and money. Speaking of money, you get what you pay for. Not the cheapest (but pretty darn close), but definitely the best and worth the money.Cannot convey the amount of stress and time Joe and his crew have saved me.

Word cannot describe how amazing Talco is! Their quality of service and professionalism is above the rest. From start to finish we were valued as a customer always updated of the process and when it came down to getting our roof done it was done quickly. I definitely, highly recommend Talco for any roofing jobs you may have. I do need to mention that Trina is absolutely gem! She answered all my questions and would respond quickly to ant calls or text. She gave us the confidence and peace of mind that we were talking to the roofing company. Out of three companies I received a quote from, Talco came in under budget. They did a nice job on my roof and I have not encountered any problems since the install. The process took a little longer but only because the rain backed them up on the ability to be able to get the job started. In an industry where reliability and honesty is often questionable, I feel as though Talco Construction nailed the most important aspect between the customer and the business. Talco's Customer service and communication throughout the entire process was outstanding.

Talco did an outstanding job. Using a skilled crew, they worked diligently and gave us a beautiful end product. We are more than pleased. We did not realize our roof needed a lot of wood repair due to failed roof vent installation back in 2005. We are now the envy of the neighborhood as our roof out shines the others. The quality of the shingle is visibly superior. We would highly recommend this roofer.

After researching several companies and contractors for our roofing needs, we decided on Talco. Talco was a great company to work with from start to finish. We had to get an entire new roof on our home after Irma. The tarps we had put up ourselves weren’t holding through the storms. Joe (the owner) was on our roof on a Sunday morning patching everywhere he could to make sure we wouldn’t get any more leaks before we could get our new roof. Everyone we spoke with from Talco was professional and personable. I will recommend them to anyone!

We called Talco after speaking to a few other places. I went with them because they were the only company that suggested I try to file a claim. To my surprise, our insurance covered us. My best interest was their intent. The roof looks great. Customer service was superb. They even fixed a little hiccup we had. Then at the end we received a very nice thank you note with a Gift card. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Don’t be fooled by those positive reviews. I have never reviewed in my life before but really wanted to share my experience.They “fixed”my roof for almost $3k back in February. Then they came out again a few months later to fix it. And now it’s leaking AGAIN for the third time in 8 months. I spoke with Jason when I originally signed the contract and he said we’ll fix it for a year even though the warranty only extends for 30 days!Keep in mind they’re only fixing the roof, I paid someone else $2k to fix the drywall. And now it’s damaged again since Talco didn’t do its job properly. When I called today, the lady told me Joe, the owner, said the warranty has been expired and plus we don’t do residential properties anymore. People please take ownership of your unfixed job!

I had several leaks from poorly installed flashings on a 6yr old roof. Having no confidence in the original roofer since they "fixed" the leaks several times before I set out looking for a new company to actually repair my roof. With glowing recommendations from the Nextdoor app I called Talco Construction and Ricardo came out and gave me a quote. Long story short, the job price was reasonable, the work needed was well explained and the job was scheduled quickly. Everyone I spoke with during the process was courteous and helpful. Ricardo actually came out with a helper and performed the work; they worked neatly, relatively quietly and kept me in the loop as the job progressed. I’m very pleased, thank you Talco.

In latter January of 2020, I went to Thumbtack to find a roof replacement company. After reading the reviews on Thumbtack and on the BBB, I reached out to several companies to submit proposals.We ended up going with Talco Construction, LLC out of Winter Garden. Why did we chose them out of four others? From the beginning, their customer service, professionalism, responsiveness was amazing!My first point of contact was with Sales and Marketing Manager, Brian Lancaster at 11:38 PM apologizing for not "getting a hold of you (me) earlier." Not only did he want to schedule a call time the next day , at 12:21 AM, he emailed me the Eagle View report for my home. He really set the stage for the kind of service we would receive throughout the project. I can't say enough about Brian and his responsiveness in addressing the customer's needs but his professionalism really went beyond anything I'd ever experienced in a business venture of this size.The Sales Rep Manager assigned to us, Trina Savage was a petite dynamic professional who was not only personable, she was extremely knowledgeable as well. To our surprise, she got up on the roof with the rest of the fellas (two who submitted proposals didn't). She did this in order to give us an accurate representation of what we could expect price wise, work wise and product wise. We had a very old roof, with rotten wood. It was bad.Once we finished working with them on pricing, we honestly believe(d) they had our best interest at heart which is hard to believe in this day and age. I don't exaggerate when I say they are company that cares about and values customer relations.All of this is not to say that we didn't have some problems when it came to installation but what makes a company great is how they rise to the top in adversity - when there are problems. I have no words to describe the great lengths they went through with us to handle/address issues that came up on the job. From Brian to Trina, to Melissa, the president of the company, I can say the same thing - they are honest, fair and regret when there is a problem on one of their job and they do whatever they can to resolve the issue. They want to ensure customer satisfaction in relationships, product and services.The quality of work is amazing and the value was great as well. They used Owen Corning Shingles and proved themselves very knowledgeable the product.I would recommend them to anyone at any time. They are what makes a great company. Wow, can’t even tell you how impressed I am with Talco Construction for my roofing job! Their website was super easy to navigate in order to get a rep out for a quote. The rep that showed up was super knowledgeable and did NOT try to “Up Sell” me with services I did not need. As a matter of fact it was MY idea to expand the scope of the job beyond what was recommended. The quote came back fair and not inflated and I signed the work agreement! 8am came today as promised and the worker was here promptly. Knocked out my repair and even cleaned up the worksite before he left! I will definitely use them again if I need more roof work done! If you’re looking to get your roof replaced or have repairs that need to be done please give them a call!

Talco Construction is one of the most professional companies I have ever used. They removed my old roof and installed a new roof. When the old roof was removed, they discovered some rotten fascia board. The rotten boards were replaced and the entire process took less than 2 days. Scheduling was flawless. Brian Lancaster and the entire office staff were incredible to work with!

I would actually give Talco a 4.5 out of 5.Brian from Talco was prepared and gave a quote on the spot. He had already done the homework to get the dimensions of my roof prior to coming to my house. He was a very nice guy and all of Talco did a great job in a short timeframe as I was in the process of selling the house. The lead worker even came in and fixed a light cover that fell while they were working on the roof.There were two things that made me take off half a star:We were waiting on the county inspection and after about a week Talco advised Polk County is slow. Come to find out the inspection was complete the day after the request and Talco was unaware.Secondly, They do a sweep of the area for nails. They missed at least two. One was in the bottom of my shoe, luckily I felt it before it punctured my foot. The second one I spotted as I learned from the first one. So just be aware you may still have some roofing nails around.Overall good service and I would use them again.

There was one little mishap with A/C getting damaged , but they had A/C repaired right away. Not a big fan of Talco. They came out 2 years ago and did a repair on my tile roof. I had a leak entering the garage through the attic above. I now have another leak 5 feet above the one they repaired along the same slope over the garage and at the flashing where it meets an upstairs bonus room. Of course my first call was to Talco to have them out for an estimate and yes, a discussion as to why we didn't repair the flashing/sealant 2 years ago as so much of the cost of a repair is the "job cost" that cover transportation, permits, administrative etc. A nice rep came out and we found the source of the leak, and chatted about why it didn't all get done the first time. About 3 days later I received a voicemail stating that "The guy who does tile for our company has been promoted to manager, and we don't really have another tile person, so you might want to get some other estimates"So apparently Talco doesn't do tile roofing anymore. I'm anxiously awaiting their website update because as of today they are still apparently roof tile experts according to that website.

Had multiple roofing companies come out after the hurricane. Talco was the only one to take the time to explain the process and materials. But most importantly they followed up and the level of communication was fantastic (not something the roofing industry is known for) and lastly my wife and I couldn’t be happier with our new roof and the level of workmanship. Reached out to Talco last year due to obvious roof damage from a hurricane. They actually called me back unlike the others in the area.Job was completed and I was not 100% satisfied due to my OCD so I reached out to Brian Lancaster who came over with the owner to specifically address any concerns.
