Hardest working crew I have ever seen! They showed up exactly when they said they would, and it was clear from the start they were there to get the job done right. Very responsive and communicative production team kept me updated throughout the job on their status. Had a ~4.2k sq. ft roof w/ 16 facets (not an easy job!), and they tore off the old shingles and underlayment, installed the new roof, and even replaced old decking where necessary all in a single day!! Very professional, they even scoured the bushes around the house to clean up completely before they left. Didn't leave a single nail or scrap of material to be found. Hope they're around in 25+ years, because this roof will definitely last at least that long 😊.Service: Roof installation

I highly recommend DeLaurier Roofing. After talking to a few other companies, we chose them to replace our 20 year old roof. It was the right decision. The roofing crew was amazing and operated like a well oiled machine. They were so organized and careful and precise with what they did. John replaced the roof in our house in 2019 with a contract including two cricket installations but this May I found that they didn't install crickets (our house has two stories with a high ceiling). I contacted him immediately and he shipped us some parts needed to install them. However, it's been 3 months since those parts are sitting in the driveway. At some point in May, he texted me that they will take care of it and take a picture for us. I have waited and waited but he is not responding my call or text for almost a month. I am very disappointed about how he deals with former customer as he was such a great person to work with.Update on December: I have waited for 3 more months but still no progress.Service: Roof installation

Mr. DeLaurier has done a virtual inspection and recommended that the roof needs to be replaced. I followed up with this proposal stating that I'd prefer to receive a report with details of the roof issues before I could make any decisions and asked if the evaluation part was free or how much it would cost. To my utter surprise, he replied that he did not think we would be fit to work together and proceeded to cancel the appointment I scheduled without any explanation. I could not figure out what I have said might have triggered such a response from a seemingly legit business owner. I did not mean the slightest bit of disrespect and yet I was treated with this ridiculous level of unprofessionalism that no one should deserve. What an awful experience.Re: I did not know the person I was in contact with was not Mr. DeLaurier himself. I apologize for assuming so in my previous comment. I was honestly feeling more confused than being angry because the overreaction from this person is out of nowhere and totally uncalled for. I have contacted another company for this roofing project. It is such a shame that the name of a legit business could be easily damaged over trivial incident like this.

John has replaced roofs of almost every house on our block, and his crew always finish the job of replacing a large house’s roof in one day. I saw the quality of the work and the efficiency of his crew while he was working on my neighbors’ houses, and that led me to hire him to work on mine.John is a pleasure to work with. We recently had our roof replaced by DeLaurier Roofing. We selected them after checking other reviews on Google and getting several estimates. I was impressed by the sincere dedication to providing the best purchasing experience that characterized our every contact with those involved in getting our new roof.Cameron our estimator was very helpful with color selection and took the time to let us work through the shingle selection process. Amy the scheduler and office contact kept us in the loop as far as when the roofers were coming and what to expect. John the owner was on site as the roof was being installed and made sure things progressed as they should.The the old shingle removal and replacement was very efficient , the crew arrived early in the morning and was cleaning up and clearing out about noon. We had esthetic concern about some shingle placement and John reviewed the situation and brought the guys out again and we were able to work out our concerns with a very indulgent roofing crew and we are very happy with the result.I can recommend DeLaurier Roofing with every confidence that they are a group that expends every effort to provide a successful result. Definitely a five star result!

I contacted two Athens firms for a roof replacement. Both were astoundingly high, without any details in the estimate. It seemed they didn’t really want the job unless they could charge double. I contacted another that said Sure! Get back to you in a week or so… and they didn’t.Contacting DeLaurier Roofing and Renovation was a completely different experience. The response was immediate, and John spent time on the phone with my long list of questions and kept me apprised of his schedule so that our relatively small roofing job could be accomplished. The estimate was complete with drone photos and details of the work to be done. When the color I’d selected on a 3-tab was on a two-week wait, he found a similar color that was available locally and didn’t charge for the upgrade on the shingle. He’s a business owner who can inspire a level of confidence in the work to be accomplished for the customer because he has confidence in the professionalism of his crew.

We had DeLaurier Roofing replace our roof in September of 2020. We thought he did a terrific job! In May of 2021 we had a leak. They came out and said it from the chimney and was not part of the new roof. This was and is confusing for us since the chimney is up there as part of the roof. We had another roofing company come out and tell us that it should have been done but who knows. While the other roofer was up there they noticed that some of the new roofing work was not up to code. A drip line was missing. We again contacted John. He offered to do all of the work at no charge-but that was 3 months ago. So far nothing has been fixed not even the code work. I know that Covid is causing a lot of issues with labor and supplies. He was charming at the start, and my mother loved him. But at this point I am not longer sure if he is really trustworthy. Since this is taking so long we are having another roofer do the work -but the code work remains outstanding. We of course have no idea if this will cause issues in the future. We have opened a complaint with the BBB as well. It is all very discouraging so not really sure what to think or do. We clarified 1 thing having to do with some repair to the soffit from the leak in the old roof and were finally able to schedule a mutually convenient day. I shopped a couple roofing companies in Athens for my rental home. I was extremely pleased with DeLaurier Roofing, because they went the extra mile on evaluating the needs of property. As well, the owner, Cameron, made an additional trip to meet with my insurance adjuster (the other company I called wasn’t willing to do this for me).DeLaurier was very considerate in comprehending my financial constraints. They arranged and completed repairs per the recommendation of the insurance adjuster, at a very reasonable price.The home will need a new roof at some point, and I would trust only DeLaurier to do the job based on their personalized customer service, history of quality workmanship, and financing opportunities.The office manager, Amy, was also very focused on my needs. She developed an excellent rapport with my tenants and organized all visits and adjuster’s inspections for me.
