Disappointing Customer Service - I have used Jones Roofing for several home improvement projects and have been pleased with all. However; I now need a repair for one of those jobs and cannot obtain a service call. I have called, emailed, and texted over the past few months and still no luck. Jan 2018Mr. Jones came out himself promptly to give me an estimate to replace our roof. It was a fair quote and half the price of one of the biggest companies in the area. He was very friendly, respectful and responsive. There was none of the "need to meet with your husband" nonsense I had gotten from other companies. It was also a truly no-pressure estimate. The job was completed in two days. They were efficient and fast and the roof looks great. Mr. Jones has exceptional customer service and I recommend this company to anyone who is looking to get any roofing work done.

Jones roofing did an excellent job on our roof. The process from quote to installation was fast and easy. The quote from Jones roofing was 15% less than all other quotes I received so I was able to upgrade to a lifetime shingle and come out ahead of the other prices. On the day of the installation the crew was on the roof at 7:00 AM, they worked 12 hours that day and were finished by noon on the next. The yard and surrounding areas were left clean, no nails or trash. They also covered our plants and other landscaping so it was not damaged. At the end of the job Mr. Jones came out to hand deliver the warranty and to make sure I was pleased with the work. I would do business with Jones Roofing again.

Dec 2017 . Jones Roofing did a great job, replacing my roof with architectural shingles. Mr. Jones personally addressed any questions I had about the process. The clean up was top notch. As a side note, I originally called what I thought were the three highest rated roofing professionals in the area, for quotes, and Mr. Jones was the only one to call me to set up a meeting, and on the same day. In fact, never did hear from the other two. I was quoted a fair price, and everything was explained to me in detail. Mr. Jones treats you like he wants your business, and his people did a great job proving it. I could not be happier with their work.

Jones Roofing reroofed our home about 4 years ago. They installed a ridge vent, but it was incorrectly installed. The entire roofing job was incorrectly installed. We have a slat roof, which requires the installer to manually nail the shingles down. They used an air nailer that shot nails through the shingles when they missed the slats. This caused leaks. Also, the shingles were misaligned and failed to adhere as designed. So, today, we have are paying for the fourth repair due to Jones shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. I would not recommend Jones to roof a doghouse.

My husband and I bought and closed on our new home on June 10, 2016. A new roof was purchased for $3830 and installed by the previous owner, on 8/22/14. At 6am on 7/17/16, a roof leak was discovered in our dining room. At this point, I called the only roofer available and he said he would come out Monday morning at 10am to put a tarp down. The previous owner emailed me the documents from the installation, and I discovered Jones Roofing & Siding placed the roof. The warranty start date was 8/19/14 and end date is 8/18/16. On the contract, it states “this limited labor warranty is non-transferrable. However, it may be transferred to new owners for a fee of $400.00.” At 2:14pm, I called Jimmy Morris, the salesman for Jones Roofing, who said they couldn’t get anyone out to the house before Monday afternoon and to go ahead and have the other roofer come out and put the tarp down to prevent further damage. On 7/18/16 at 8:37am, I called Jimmy who again told me to have the other roofing company put a tarp down, and said Jones’ owner would call me soon. Then at 12:49pm, Mr. Jones called me and said he was busy and he wouldn’t be able to come out to the house until the next day. On 7/19/16 at 12pm I still had not heard from Mr. Jones, and I gave him a call. He said he could come by the house right at that moment. At 12:25pm, Mr. Jones met me at the house. He did not bother getting on the roof, nor told me what caused the leak. He told me he would get in touch later in the week and get a guy out to inspect the problem. He proceeded to provide multiple excuses as to this could not be fixed sooner. At 5pm when I arrived home, the tarp had blown over and was no longer protecting the hole in the roof. There were storm clouds in the sky, and I called Jones roofing and was told I had to call the person who put the tarp on to come fix it. On 7/20/16 at 9:03 am I spoke w/ Jimmy on the phone, who said they were busy and could not come by. On 7/21/16 at 5:29pm, I got a call from Mr. Jones. He said, “I needed to be patient.” I told him all I wanted was a TIME when someone could fix this. He said, “I can’t give you a time.” Mr. Jones then claimed the warranty is NOT transferrable so it’s not his responsibility. I informed him what the warranty said. Mr. Jones replied, “that’s only if I want to accept the $400.” On 7/22/16, my husband arrived home to find Mr. Jones and two workers on our roof. They started claiming the guy that nailed the tarp down did a lot of damage to our roof. When my husband reminded him that it was HIS company that made us have another company put the tarp down when they refused to come out themselves, Jones claimed that the tarp was already down when we first called them. My husband let him know that was untrue and that we had documentation of every time we had spoken to them and what was discussed. At this point, Jones again tried to claim the warranty is non-transferrable and claimed the transfer had to be done at closing. My husband corrected him. He then said they could fix the nail and tarp damage but it would look like tic tac toe on our roof from the road. He also asked if we wanted to pay the $400 to transfer the warranty, to which my husband said yes. Then he said the work would not even cost $400. My husband told him we wanted it done right, not a patch job that looked like tic tac toe. Jones said that even fixing it right wouldn’t cost $400. The owner then said they could do it Wednesday 7/27 at 5:30 AM and repair everything. No mention was made of the cause of the original leak. On 7/22/16 at 1:23pm, my husband called and requested an invoice for the work. Jones claimed he would send one over ASAP. An invoice was FINALLY received on 7/26/16 at 12:52pm. On the invoice, Mr. Jones was now claiming we would be charged $1500 + $35/sheet of plywood (60 sheets) so that would be $3354 + tax. He also informed us that no one would be by on Wednesday morning because they were too busy. We are still waiting on them to correct their faulty installation.

We paid this company to put on a new roof and fix the siding that was falling off. They did a good job with the roof but left a lot of nails on the ground. The biggest issue was repairing the siding. We were told by the owner on 2 separate occasions that he would send someone out to repair the siding. Still nothing and it’s been over a month.I recommend customers be careful when dealing with this company

These folks do an excellent job. They replaced all my windows about 1 year ago. They show up professionally dressed, friendly and most importantly on time! There was no mess when they left- all debris had been cleaned up and removed. I just recently had a problem with the seal on 1 window which isn't out of the norm. I called and within 2 days they were at my home, measured and new window ordered. They even called me this morning to let me know it had been ordered and they would call to schedule installation as soon as it arrived. I was in Afghanistan, from 2006 to 2009, when my wife had the new roof installed, October 2008. We paid half and Nationwide Homeowners paid half (hail damage), we wanted a ridge vent and had the turbo vents removed and the holes patched.The warranty expired in 2010. November 1,2013 water started dripping through the sheetrock ceiling during a heavy rain. November 3, 2013 a Jones worker arrived and caulked some shingles. 12-23-13, water dripping through the ceiling, same place again. In the photos I took you can see the white mycelium of the wood decay fungus on the decking. The decking is rotted and the insulation and sheetrock is soaked.I was an Inspector for the GA. Dept. Of Agriculture, Entomology and Pesticides Div. before retiring in 2006.I am also a certified pesticide applicator in 5 categories and a certified home inspector. I now work for the VA as a pest controller. I think this is going to take more than a tube of caulk to repair.
