After ober a year of research and estimates, I recently had my deck replaced by D&R Painting & Construction. They were on time in visiting and providing a the best price. The project was started and completed on time as promised. The two men who actually built the deck were courteous, professional and highly skilled in building the deck to code. The project manager visited to check on the progress. I am extremely satisfied with the final product and will definitely use D&R for future projects. Thank you David and company for a job well done.

What I look for in a contractor is professionalism, a fair quote, and commitment to do the job correctly the first time and on time. D&R Painting and Construction checked all the boxes. I requested a quote to have my home’s exterior painted along with an attic vent and a two-story bay window area repaired and painted. D&R came out and gave me a fair quote and stated it would take a week to complete the job. Upon notification that I wanted them to do the work, they showed up the next day to start the project and it was completed within five days. I am extremely pleased with the work done by D&R and have received several compliments from my neighbors.

They did a great job stripping wallpaper, prepping, and painting 2 big rooms in our house. The work was quality, the crew worked hard and did a great job protecting the floors, cabinets, etc. in the areas they were working. The rooms looked great and the price was very fair. I called around a few contractors for an estimate and they were definitely the lowest price. They came and made our garage into a studio, added a kitche and bathroom. Everything was done quick and well. I have nothing but good things to say. Very professional and good at what they do! Would definitely recommend for any small or big job!

I called D&R to repair a problem with my upper deck that other contractors had failed on doing for years. The response was immediate and they provided a solution that permanently solves this problem that no one else could fix. The service was amazing and very affordable. I hired D&R to install several windows and window molding. There were several differences in what materials were expected to be used so be sure that the quote is clear on all points before you except it. The owner of the company handled any of these issues professionally and I was happy with the results. The work looks great and they take pride in making you happy. I prefer to do most of my own work but sometimes you need to hire out some things that you can’t do yourself. These folks are a good choice if you want it done right.

We hired D & R when we wanted to renovate our kitchen. We did the demo ourselves and then David's team came in and put up new drywall, installed new windows, installed and painted trim and moulding, lay down laminate floors, installed our pre-ordered cabinets and put in the backsplash. David's team worked very efficiently and professionally and the end result is beautiful. The cost of the project felt very reasonable, especially given everything but the backsplash was completed within two weeks (the backsplash was completed soon after the counters were installed), and the process went very smoothly. I could tell as any problems cropped up while David's team was working, they were very resourceful at figuring out a solution. I was very happy with my experience with D & R and will be calling them again in the future.Service: Interior painting

My wife and myself hired D and R Painting and Construction for a $80,000 renovation of a 33-year-old family home. Omar Rivas visited our home and gave us an estimate. We agreed on a price and a date to begin work. Unfortunately, all things went South from there. The work that they performed was amateurish and substandard at best. Angles and paint lines are not straight, bathroom tiles were cut uneven and chipped, new glass kitchen tiles are scratched and cut uneven, grout work in the kitchen and bathrooms is pitted and cracked, paint was slopped and dripped on new flooring. These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Anything that they thought they could getaway with they did. Baseboards under cabinets not painted, tops of doorways not painted, screws missing on new cabinetry hardware and storm door, doors installed incorrectly. Again, just a few examples. After they began laying the new flooring we were informed that they did not have enough. Keep in mind we ordered flooring as to their measurements. This resulted in a $5,000 mistake! The owner of the company, David Rivas, is arrogant and accepts zero responsibility for the work that his company performs. In fact, David would rather argue with his customer rather than correct the problems. David does not honor his company’s contract, or the 5-year warranty advertised on their website. He or his son, Omar, will not return phone calls, emails or text messages. In retrospect, we wish that we had not paid D and R. That has left us with no other option but to pursue this matter through the courts. We would never use D and R again nor recommend that anyone use this company. In fact, we would recommend that anyone thinking of hiring this company either run away as fast as you can or seek professional help. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

I recently had a bathroom renovation done by David, Omar, and D&R Painting and Construction, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite being paid, they failed to address issues promptly, leading to severe consequences.Weeks after completing the project, our shower wouldn't drain, and attempts to contact them were futile. This negligence resulted in my ceiling collapsing with me underneath, putting my family at risk.Not only did they ignore calls, emails, and texts, but they also sent us expired insurance, raising concerns about their professionalism. The aftermath has been disastrous - damaged floors, furniture, and ongoing electrical problems.What's equally troubling is their consistent removal of negative reviews, a shady practice that reflects their lack of transparency and accountability. I strongly advise against using this company. Their unethical practices, lack of responsibility, and disregard for safety have left my family in a difficult situation. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from D&R Painting and Construction.

So pleased with service provided. On time and worked efficiently. Our cedar home was last treated 25 yrs ago, and the new solid stain is beautiful. Only issue was our fault re leaving gutters original bronze since normal to paint accent or trim color. Without telling me, owner took it upon himself to color match gutter color, and now lovely original bronze color. So pleased. Great team and excellent communication.

We hired D& R painting because of good reviews. Huge mistake! Inexperienced crew, Zero attention to detail, Shoddy workmanship, terribly unprofessional. Hire these guys at your own risk! Only professional thing about this company are the subcontractors that David hired. Unfortunately,we got stuck with David and his personal crew of 2-3 inexperienced men doing most of the work! Take a look at the pics I've posted...tells you all you need to know.. and these are just a few of many!! Don't be duped by the fancy website..

I had a great experience with D&R. They came to give an estimate within a few days of me reaching out. The project was delayed due to weather, but the admin was communicative. The crew mounted new shutters, painted them, painted a metal roof, and painted our front door. They asked me to take a look and approve as they went along; when I asked them to go over a couple spots with another coat of paint, they did so. The final product is excellent and a great value for the price paid. I also liked that I got to inspect the work before payment and that I could pay online.Services: Door painting, Exterior painting

These guys were hired to make repairs at a church (which I manage), including pressure washing/painting exterior, making repairs to a structural overhang that had been damaged and repair damage to a gutter and a window pane that were broken. They claimed they had equipment to make the repairs, which included re-attaching the overhang to the building and re-securing it to the I-beam inside the outer wall of the building. They attempted to do this by attaching a cable to their work van and driving it to pull the structure back to its original position. Tires spun and they apparently gave up because instead of being back against the building it is still unattached, with daylight visible through their heinous patch job. (See photos.) They replaced the window pane (a privacy glass) in front with a piece of clear plexiglass. They did a decent paint job, but instead of repairing a rotted window frame they just painted over it. After speaking with their insurance agent, we discovered that they are insured as PAINTERS ONLY. They are not insured to do construction work. They ripped off a CHURCH and then ghosted.

Upon request they provided expired policy information and then became unresponsive.!!!!!!Watch out…..terrible experience, many issues with the work and unwilling to respond and fix problems resulting from their work.

We were entirely too naive. Make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. Get a detailed estimate including materials. My mother thought she was getting a new deck. Instead she got a repair/rebuild, at a new deck price, that an inspector later told us is unsafe. It sucks to be told that someone ripped you off.
