If there is a negative five star, I will give them negative five star. Purchased NEW CONTRACTION HOUSE from Almont Homes NE, INC. , I am so disappointed. 7 windows leaking water, basement foundations leaking water, and basement door leaking water AS WELL. The inspect and repair more than TEN TIMES, but still leaking. How comes the house can pass the inspection?????? I feel that all the BAD GUYS on Earth are working in this company. Mr. John Davis always ignore my email, he looks friendly and kind, BUT he will do some bad things behind of you. Mr. phil, the VICE PRESIDENT OF ALMONT HOMES, ALWAYS LIE TO US, told us that everything is no problems, BUT the gold always shine and the problems always appear. There are four families in our community are going to sue the Almont Homes NE, INC. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!

Jan Welch is a stellar Real Estate agent that has sold several homes for myself and my family and has the highest integrity in an agent that I have ever known.Jan Welch also sold us our Almont home and we have been very happy with her experience and solid guidance throughout the buying experience. If you're looking for a great home and an excellent agent, look no further than Jan Welch!

I purchase a property in the wildflower Park development in Auburn. It is a total nightmare. it took them 8 months after the after the year to acknowledge the warranty list first of all. They sold me a house with red dirt in the concrete and they refuse to do anything about it. I paid someone to pressure wash and it looks the same so the value of my house is not what it is because of the presentation on the concrete. This company takes no responsibility and refuse to help correct any damage they cause. The Floors in the house is squeaking and remember i said it is not even two years as yet. All 3 toilet seats came off the toilet and they refuse to replace within the warranty period. I did not know toilet seats are make to last only a year and to make matters worst i was told it is wear and tear. The company does not answer phone calls or emails ever. Not to mention the HOA company that is given to us. There is absolutely no contact. I am not sure who to get in contact with for any matter concerning the development. I suggest if you are buying a home, do your research, check out the developments that they build. My honest suggestion is that you do not use this company. The house looks fabulous on the the outside but living in there is a total nightmare. I have spoken to so many in this development and not one person has anything do to say about almont homes. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

We moved to Ga in 2020 and purchased a beautiful home at the Almont Homes subdivision Harbins Landing Estates.Jan Welch was the agent that helped us and we found the home and service from Jan and the superintendent Andy Hansen to be exceptional. Our daughter Ari bought her first home from Tommy Hampton at The Sunny Hill Subdivision.Chris Jenkins the preferred lender was very helpful with Air’s first time home buyer loan. We have been very pleased with Almont Homes!!Service: Home building

Home quality is mediocre at best - perhaps its their non-skilled contractors they use or them - who knows.Everything else (professionalism, durability, responsibility/integrity, and etc...) is as good as a 5 year old.Everyone is entitled to their thoughts, but there is a big/consistency if you look at all the reviews that this company clearly cant hideYour welcome to future home buyer read this reviewSaved you at least 1 year of headache,—update 2022Nothing changed. More findings that are consistent with rushed and poorly planned construction. They r lucky to be in a sellers market right now

Due to the quiet and pleasant environment, we moved to this new home almost three years ago, "Fileds at Mountain View." We were still okay with endless problems with these two new homes we purchased and kept up our best with the original HOA that never replied to us except for collecting the annual HOA fees. But, the very new HOA changed early this year and started making a hot mess. The same neighbors who were recommended/claimed themselves to volunteer without the consent and knowledge of the rest 38 homeowners among 41 homes. They pretended to be good neighbors for the past two years and turned into evils as soon as they believed they gained the power to control the whole neighborhood. The newly hired HOA agent, Lyn Tipton from Southern property management, was the worst, a misanthrope and ill-humored.

Unfortunately they build a very low quality home. Been a Union Carpenter for over 16+ years. Best department they offer is sales. Never seen this low standard since I've been in a building trade.Definitely no pride in their work. Also, get lowest subcontractors in. Do not go with them you will regret. Shame to superintendents!

My wife and I had to leave our newly built home in Twin Bridges after only three years due to Almont's shady practices with respect to the HOA. At one point there were two HOAs both claiming to be legitimate, and the dispute led to the community pool being shut down by the county. Other homeowners sued and we were repeatedly asked for money to fund the effort. We couldn't handle the stress of it any more and left. The home quality itself seemed to be fine but we didn't stick around long enough to really know. Our new community and builder is much better. No drama at all.

I truly wish I could give this builder a zero. I own several homes and this is the worst builder I have ever done business with.Lets start off with the office, they are extremely nice when trying to sell you the home, but after you sign the purchase and sales contract you will not get very much communication unless you are aggressive on getting an answer myself and my lender had several communication issues with Jan at the front office.Builder: Andy the head of the builders is the most lazy builder I have met. There are things that was promise would be done before closing that still never got done, he went on vacation and never address issues. The worker in the area say he is difficult to work with and barley speaks to them. After closing I got some side work done he change the price on me several times which is so unprofessional. when the contractors came to do the work the size was incorrect, also my bathroom after being here for a month after closing just got put in. But back to the side job after not hearing from builder I went and paid contractors for work that had been done. The builder called me ramping and made a threat telling me "not to play with him" because apparently he wanted the money directly so he could work in his fees. But do to the million things I have going on I decided to pay my dues. I had no contact info for him to discuss how to pay so I did what I had to do. Sorry dude if you didn't make any money off me I tried to pay you...Just be aware it's a lot of other builders out there, the contractors that have been to my home and mention that they are working on a million dollar home and that he so difficult to deal with and tries to cut corners everyday he can..BACK OUT IF YOU CAN.

I would research this builder HEAVILY prior to purchasing from them. I bought my home Nov 2015 and I have had issues with my heating and cooling roof leaks, drainage issues in my back yard, wood rot on my back patio from a defect with floor plan where rain water from just infiltrates down the house and puddles in the corner of the slab. I guess I should consider myself lucky since the water doesn’t actually make it in through my back doors like several of neighbors. My chimney cap as flown off about 18 months in due to not being installed correctly. Luckily it didn’t hit anyone or anything just landed in my backyard. My dinning room windows are now leaking from gutters/flashing improperly installed. I purchased new construction to avoid costly repairs instead this home is nothing but a lemon. The contractor are builder are subpar. Take your money elsewhere.

Zero stars if I could. Just finished building a home with them in Flowery Branch Park Walk and everything changes once you sign the papers and they have your money. The only good luck I had was Bryan the site super leveled my yard the distance he said he would when I first started. That is literally the only thing that stood out that they did well. Everything else appears to be bare minimum at best. If they mess something up they will make up any excuse to get out of making it right even though it is their fault. I asked for a 12'x 24' 3rd car garage and I received a 12'x23.5'. Despite I paid over $21,000 for the garage I was told that this was industry standard and I should have requested the additional area. I explained that if I built houses for a living that I would know the industry standard and would not need them. However, this industry standard was not explained to me until after the fact and I felt they should fix this. I was told that I could walk and they take my $22,000 that I had put down in earnest money or I could pay for the fix. Basically, not their problem and I have attached a photo of the contract where it clearly states I want a 12x24 garage. The lack of communication throughout the entire process is astonishing. If I responded to my customers the way they do I would not have a job. Stephanie Cates is extremely rude when she does actually respond to you. This is the nicest possible way I can put it. My closing had been moved multiple times all at the last minute and it was very obvious it was known well beforehand they were not even close to being done on the scheduled date. Buyer beware. As testimony to their business ethics, the only good reviews were obviously written by people that worked for them. Stephanie whom I mentioned before & Katherine... I have included photos of my interactions with them. I am close to 6 weeks past closing and nothing of the punch list items on the final walk through have been completed. I have requested help numerous times as you can see in my other photos. I feel I am not a difficult person to work with and was more than patient with their lack of service. You can see in the emails how I talk to them compared to how I was talked to. Make your own judgements off of what you see.I will update and let all know what the future holds. Wish me luck as I am not hopeful based off of my experience so far.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! Our house is less than 2 years old...in that time we have had to pay to fix significant drainage problems in the yard, replace the a/c compressor (labor not covered by warranty), replace ALL 3 toilets (cracks in the tanks from installation), and most recently mold remediation in the attic. Because of the type of mold, the growth pattern (only on trusses, not sheathing), the fact that it was in a dormant state in our attic (moisture levels too low), and the fact that there are no moisture intrusion points in our attic, the mold had to be built into the house. It either came in on the trusses from the lumber supplier that Almont used, or it grew on the trusses when Almont left them out in the open on the ground & unprotected. We tried to pursue remedy for the mold issue with Almont thru the warranty & then thru our lawyer...they fought us at every turn. The warranty has gaping exclusion holes in it & you give up significant rights associated with both the express & implied warranty of the finished product thru the initial contracts you sign with Almont. The worst part is that they know full well that they have no legal obligation to make things right, and they will use their lawyer to make sure you get the message loud & clear. We realized it would cost us more in legal fees to fight them than it would to just fix the house ourselves...something I’m sure they were counting on. They will even drag out & only reluctantly fix the things they are required to fix through the warranty. Like another reviewer here stated, we had horrible problems with pops & squeaks in our 2nd floor subfloor. It took MONTHS to fix the noise, and then only our nagging & persistence to finally get the padding & carpet re-installed. We went over a month with all of our upstairs carpet unsecured. There’s so much more, but the big items for us are listed here. Don’t think you will be treated differently or that you will be the exception. Do your homework, read the reviews out there! My home is in Forsyth county, and I know of multiple newer houses in another Almont community in Forsyth county that also have mold in them. Also, note that 2 of the 5-star reviews here are from realtors that sell for Almont in their communities.

I bought a house at Harbins Landing Estates in Dacula GA, and it was the worst experience ever! Bad quality construction, communication cero once papers are signed, they don't take responsibility about the warranty, and in top of that, the builder keeps the control of the HOA, they collect the money, but do nothing to keep the neighborhood nice. All the money just disappear between ghost invoice payments invented by themselves. In this subdivision owners have no right to complain about anything. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TO BUY AN ALMONT HOMES' HOUSE! Much better buy a house built in 1800.

Almont Homes does not service its customers in a timely manner, they never answers the phone. I’m order to speak with someone my husband have to go up to the office. Our windows was installed improperly, when it rains water comes through our windows above the front door. As we walk into our master bedroom our window shakes and rattle, floors upstairs near the media room cracks like crazy also we’ve been waiting for them to paint our garage back from a repair due to a water leakage from 3 mos. after being in our home. This is one shady builder

Purchased a brand new house (we did not design it, it was already complete). Immediately following, experienced a leak that was in the garage as well as on the inside of the house coming through the ceiling down to the carpet. Called them to come fix it, had to have them out 3 different times to try to fix it, stated I wanted them to verify there was not water on the insulation in the wall and mold potential to grow, they refused, stating there was no way that was an issue. Had another leak in the same room in a different spot a month later. Now, a year later, I have had a 3rd location where there is water in this room. 3 different leaks all within a year and they don't feel the urgency or the need to truly make it right. Caulk at all locations of bathroom joints are already needing to be redone, nail pops all over the house, floor was squeaking and needed them to come fix that, as well as a low spot in the floor. None of the doors are installed properly, I have to pull my kids doors shut hard and there is still a gap in the door where you can see into the room, the closet door will close but won't stay closed because the tongue of the door doesn't align with the hole in the frame. Poor quality overall and poor service, if my husband and I weren't as persistent as we are, they would have left us to dry, and realistically they have anyways. Very disappointed, we bought a new house with the hopes of not having to deal with this kind of issue and I've had over a week of staying home from work to try to get items resolved.

We were looking into buying a home with them. We did like the lay out the home. But when reading the horrifying experiences of the homeowners im totally scared. This has opened my eyes to just go else where. Its good to talk to homeowners in areas to see about there experience living in the area and this here is the worst experience to live. Buying a home should be a peaceful experience and be a happy experience and these people are crying for help and outraged as they should be. I for one will not be buying a home from them. And I thank you as a future home buyer that you homeowners continue to warn people to stay away from this company until they appreciate there customers and do the work right the first time so stuff doesn't happen in future and actually have some respect for themselves not have scamming contracts so they don't have to do anything to fix issues they caused in the first place with there scamming builders and workers they have for therecompany. Really thank you homeowners you guys are the Saviors and truly I do hope and pray for you guys suffering thru this company cuz I can see they are shady and scamming.

We brought a Almont Georgian style home and love it. This is the 3rd new home we have built and this builder was the best by far. We have found very little wrong with the home and the few warranty items we did have were dealt with quickly. We love our home and our neighborhood!

In love with the neighborhood! Harbins Landing is very peaceful and quiet. The houses are just beautiful and very affordable. Jan, our real estate agent, was amazing with the way everything was handled during and after our closing. It is worth the visit! You will fall in love! :)

Do not buy into a new Almont Homes community. I live in Twin Bridges. Wait until all the homes are sold before buying a resale. 1. Almont Homes has rented 12 of 109 homes at Twin Bridges. 2. Almont Homes refuses to pay Association dues for their rentals. 3. Almont renters are allowed to trash the subdivision with no accountability. Almont renters provided a tense situation at pool consistently throughout 2018. One homeowner thought a shoot out was going to occur. 4. Homeowners requested a Special Meeting to discuss solutions to problems. Almont refused Special meeting request. Almont went so far as to change locks at clubhouse to prevent homeowners from holding a meeting. 5. Almont committed to providing a walking trail. In June 2018, Almont said the walking trail was complete. Not one homeowner has been able to locate or navigate the walking trail. 6. In 2016, another Almont Homes Community Bridlewood had to go to court to gain control of HOA. The case took 2 years. Bridlewood was able to gain control of HOA. It appears Twin Bridges will have to do the same. BE VERY WARY ABOUT BUYNG NEW CONSTRUCTION IN ANY ALMONT HOMES COMMUNITY - Twin Bridges, Sophia Downs.

amateur builder, money making is their goal. builds home with some many problems that you gonna spend your money to fix that. Warranty is an eyewash.Drainage problem, low cost flooring, sqeaking floors and bad paints. We have a one of their community at Mill creek station, water broke in the community pool, that caused enormous amount of money spent by resident to fix it. These inexperienced builder ran away from taking care of this issue. The case in the court...

I have been waiting 6 months for Almont to fix warranty issues. They own property behind my home which has downed trees. They promised to remove the item two years ago, only to tell me that it wasn't their issue when asked about it.

This is a response to Paul Nadeau comments of Almont Homes and Tommy Hampton. To start, Mr. Nadeau did not buy a home in Liberty Estates from Almont Homes, he bought a re-sale that was built by a builder that is out of business. Secondly, Mr. Nadeau came in to the model home at Liberty a few months ago asking about rezoning across the street from Liberty Estates. He did not introduce his self to me then, nor did he introduce his self to me when he came in the second time. I did not know what his name was until he wrote this review. He was rude to me the first time questioning me about the rezoning across the street. I told him what I had read in the paper, that the rezoning was for estate lots at the time of the article. Understand, this has nothing to do with myself or Almont Homes. I tried to help him out with the best information I had. Why did Mr. Nadeau not talk to his agent that sold him his house ? Why did Mr. Nadeau not talk to the City about the Rezoning ? Mr. Nadeau came in to my model for the second time, no introduction, with a paper rolled up saying the HOA just sent a letter out stated UPS is trying to rezone the property. Sticking the rolled up paper toward me calling me a liar. I explained to him I did not lie to him that was the information I had read in the newspaper. He then called me a liar for the second time, I again told him I did not lie. The he shoved the rolled up paper toward me and said I intentionally lied to him. That was it for me , I got upset and said a word I should not have and asked him to get off the property. He did not leave, I asked him again, he continued accusations, when he would not leave, the threat, was for the police to come. I knew where he lived if he continued to cause problems with his accusations.Tommy Hampton

Absolutely horrible builder. Purchased a home from Almont brand new, a little over a year later started to experience MAJOR problems with plumbing, HVAC, and issues with lot itself. Almont washes their hands of you as soon as you've closed, they change phone numbers, email addresses etc.. The list of plumbers, electricians, etc. they gave were businesses that were all closed soon after. RUN!! Don't do it!

Do not buy from this builder! Absolutely worthless! You will have lot's of issues during the walk through and he will not fix it. He will ditch you as soon as closing is done. Compare to the prices that he is selling the materials are so cheap and does not last long.Outside might look beautiful and eye catching but take a close look inside and you will see the truth behind the beauty.

After months of attempting to work with their warranty team, I finally give up. Their lack of communication and respect towards customers is extremely frustrating and concerning. Please do your research, ask people in the neighborhood before buying a home from Almont, then make ur decision.

BUYER BEWARE!! Me and my family found a nice small subdivision in Dacula called Mill Creek Station, the onsite agent Rick Baker was really nice and he handed us a pen and pad and had us go out in the neighborhood to write down how we wanted our new home to look, and so we did , after handing over $10,000.00 they build something completely different. The home was not build as disclosed on the contract, not even close..DONT EVER SIGN A CONTRACT ON A UNFINISHED HOME.. WE ARE STILL TRYING TO GET OUR MONEY!!!!.

As previous reviewers mentioned, once you do the closing they don't bother to follow up with items that need fixing. Workmanship is sub-par and the materials used is cheap. I would not recommend this builder.
