I contacted wikiwiki through their website to try to get a quote on a system I'd already specced with a few other companies. The salesman was oddly combative compared to other vendors I spoke to. He didnt want to be in on any process where he couldn't give a full canned sales sitdown, and he flatly refused to skip past any questions like, "do you have an electric car now, and if not, do you think you'll buy one in the next 20 years?" I wrote the owner to show him the odd communications and got no response. Heres quotes from his emails:"Unfortunately, as much as I would like to work with you, I'm not a professional proposal provider. "and"In my experience, clients that insist contractors provide proposals for "one specific design" without the contractor knowing all the facts, they're never happy with the outcome."and"In my 16-years of solar experience on Maui I have come to realize, basing a proposal on someone else's system design is often not the best strategy as the basis for their design could be incorrect. I prefer to look at solar system design with a fresh set of eyes and base my design recommendations on my interpretations of your energy usage and unique property characteristics."I guess the marketplace of solar customers on Maui is big enough that wikiwiki can survive acting like this, but on the flip side, theres more than 10 other solar vendors I can call, so no reason to work with a difficult one.

These guys were really great. Pros through and through - and patient ones at that. My HoA has a reputation (to put it lightly) when it comes to Solar installations. So much so, in fact, that other solar companies refused to work with me to install a solar system at my condo. WikiWiki, however, was willing to jump through the hoops. 6 months later (most of that time being due to various HoA paperwork...) I have a working solar system, and I couldn't be happier with it. These guys are awesome.

Wiki Wiki has completed multiple projects for me. I'm grateful that their workers are professional and efficient. I appreciated a few last minute rescues as well, most companies are not able to respond so quickly. I can also trust that they will complete the job correctly and they standby their work. They have installed 2 different photovoltaic systems on 2 different properties, they also trenched and added an additional electrical panel to accommodate our pool project and they installed a Tesla battery and charger for us. My business requires electrical service 24 hrs a day to operate but one Tuesday morning we had an aging panel failure. WikiWiki had installed our home solar so I called them to ask about the repair.They understood the seriousness of the situation so the owner and a couple of his guys showed up in about 20 minutes. The problem required the power company and County permits so WikiWiki started right there contacting everyone and getting the process underway.This Covid thing has reduced utilities staff and made everything take longer but they know everyone and was still able to have all permits and processes ready so that by Friday noon all work was completed and final permits were signed off - the business was back in operation.Can't say enough about how impressed I was with their service and employees knowledge - their experience definitely shows!Service: Electrical panel replacement or upgrading

So I wrote a review in anger after finding out my system was not finished installing. I did not get all the details. I will say I went with WIKI WIKI because of the price. Rising Sun Maui says they match prices. When I showed them the quote from WIKI WIKI They said WIKI WIKI underbids to get business then upcharges. I did get a raise in price when a certain panel was not available. We will alter review as needed.
