Takes has everything you need including things you didn't know you needed until you got there. This family owned place is very friendly and everyone is very helpful. One employee, Joanna was particularly helpful and truly made shopping here a treat. I was searching for a floor cleaner and she was able to recommend something that solved my problem.

You can probably find what you're looking for if you're doing DIY stuff for around the house/yard. Prices are alright for Molokai, since it's either here or the guys across the street.

"Since there is no Home Depot here or Lowe's on the Island well thanks to TAKES VARIETY STORE its just like a mini version of them . They have reasonable prices, great products, all kinds of stuffs, from Household Products, Paint, Light Fixtures, fishing Gears and tools you name it."

They got everything I can think of and was ever looking for,,, except lumber.... Very good well stocked store,, good people good place to stop and shop. Kind of expensive pricey though

Friendly staff, keep looking; there's a lot here. If you can't find it, ask. The staff are willing to help. If they dont have it, maybe they can order.. or choose something else! Best thing, they're open on Sundays.

Recently reorganized, this store has been transformed into an old-fashioned small-town hardware store -- parts to build and fix things, helpful staff, great, real hardware stock. So happy with this improvement!MAHALO TAKES!
