Avoid purchasing a home from Viking. Their brand claims quality, but they fail miserably at this. I have added details and photos to show their poor job in construction and warranty, but their attitude is the biggest issue. Construction managers delay, lie, and obscure the truth, making serious errors and trying to hide them. I don't want to assign to malice what could be explained by incompetence, but in Viking's case, it appears to be both. They avoid their commitments and don’t stand behind their work. I've bought three new homes; Viking, despite their claims of quality, were the lowest in practice. For instance, they schedule repairs but send someone unprepared, lacking the correct part or paint color, then ask me to sign a paper stating they did the work. I made sure the signature didn’t say the issue was fixed, just that they had worked on the house. Viking managers later claimed that I signed a document saying the issue was fixed and tried to avoid responsibility for future visits required to address the original issue. This happened repeatedly. As for safety, the house has loud floor squeaks. Viking dismissed them, saying they’re normal. They couldn’t address some under tile or hardwood as it would require tearing up and re-laying the flooring. Finally, they agreed to work on a few under the carpet; the particle board was put together poorly in an area, with misaligned and missing nails, and patched with glue (see photos). A heavy step in the wrong place could have gone through the floor! They quietly fixed this and minimized the issue. My front door was stained wood and the stain covered in hand prints (see video for their fingerpainting project). Viking tried to say it was normal, then sanded out the prints, causing severe color mismatches (more pics). They decided to replace the door, cut it wrong onsite, tried to hide it by installing weather stripping over the mistake and filling the gap with putty. They agreed to replace the whole door a second time, painted it twice, forgot to paint the top, so they came back for that. This process happened over 3 years and a dozen visits. This has been normal for my Viking experience.Another issue: a defective cabinet door. The paint was cracking and peeling after 6 months. It took Viking 5 visits to get it right, they ordered the wrong door, the wrong color, and forgot about it altogether repeatedly. By then, the one-year warranty had expired, and Viking claimed it wasn’t covered. This was common practice. There are many other issues, like landscaping causing flooding and sinking concrete slabs, countless nail pops, warped walls, caulking on every countertop in the house that cracked and had to be redone four times, and much more. This review doesn’t allow enough space to cover even a fraction of the problems. My house is beautiful, but Viking’s handling has left a bitter taste in my mouth and kept me from enjoying my new house as I should have.Bottom line, virtually all these issues, while frustrating, would be forgivable if Viking was simply willing to stand behind their work, follow through with repairs, and be positive and helpful rather than dismissive and annoyed. Wendell needs to hire a proper customer service manager or an experience and customer-centric warranty manager and he needs to demonstrate that homeowners' happiness with his product should be Viking's highest goal. Right now, it doesn't seem like our happiness is something he's even considered, and mine is far from the only such review.

Just did our walk-thru with Dan from Viking and are totally pleased with our new home. We are in the packing and moving process, and wish it was as easy and pleasant as buying a Viking home through Wade and Nicole Jacklin. They have both been terrific through the whole process and we feel like we have friends in Post Falls already. Highly recommend you call Wade Jacklin if you are looking for a home in North Idaho.Service: Home building

We are still trying to resolve our dissatisfaction with the appearance/changes of our Viking Home in Twin Bridges. Appreciate the work done by most of the Viking team however the refusal to fix an obvious problem with our home's appearance is unacceptable. I would like to begin by quoting from the Viking Builders public website:"As one of the area's largest builders, we understand the importance of customer satisfaction. Our warranty and service program provides you with peace of mind."Please see the pictures of our house & the Viking Tully brochure attached. You will immediately notice the significant difference in the elevation of the front of the house which creates a huge "red barn effect" on our home.We are dissatisfied with the extensive red vinyl siding over the garage door. This IS NOT what we were shown & agreed to at the Viking Design center in June 2017.Since Viking senior management may not be aware of the background here is a summary:June 2017: Selected & paid good faith funds for a lot in Twin Bridges neighborhood. The lot required a $8K premium.June 2017: Met with the Viking Design center supervisor for a 4 hour meeting to make option selections on our Tully home. At no time were elevation or significant design changes discussed.July 2017: Returned to Tampa FL. (Note: we were unable to watch the construction of our home as we live 2,800 miles away.)August 2017: We were Contacted by Viking personnel on the necessity of building steps to three entry points to our home. Lost a 3 car garage due to this change. We did not like this but were told it was necessary based on architectural analysis of our lot. AT NO TIME WAS A CHANGE TO THE HOUSE EXTERIOR DISCUSSED. We reluctantly agreed to the steps.February 2018: Agreed to close on our home with the understanding that Viking would fix any remaining problems. During this time we discovered a gas leak from the garage heating unit. When repaired, the heating contractor stated the original installer had not done a correct job & the leak could have lead to a fire/danger to anyone in the house.March 2018: Clearly stated that our home looked significantly different than any Tully depictions we had seen; we are both clearly disappointed that the red vinyl siding is no longer an "accent" but an enlarged red "barn" look.BOTTOM LINE: All we want is for Viking to make this right by adjusting vinyl siding on the front over the garage to approach the vision of the house we were sold & shown in JUNE 2017. As a 30 year Army Veteran I thought the Viking commitment to "customer satisfaction & peace of mind" was an full/honest commitment to buyers - apparently not This is our planned retirement home. We have consistently cooperated with Viking during the bldg. process; we hope Viking will decide to do the same with my wife & I.

We've been in our Twin Bridges Viking home for just over a year. We looked at a lot of different builders beforehand and really felt we got the most bang for our buck with Viking in this particular neighborhood. My husband is a perfectionist with experience in construction. He watched the subcontractors work very closely throughout our build and was very happy with it. He actually was expecting to have things to pick apart along the way but found the Viking foreman Kelly to already be on top of things, ensuring the work was done right. We opted for a lot of upgrades and even a few changes to the standard floor plan. We were grateful they allowed us to tailor the house to our needs. With that, there were a few minor things that started taking shape a bit differently than we'd envisioned during our build. (Not unusual with any build). But we found Viking to be very receptive to changing course to get things back on track to what we wanted. We did not have any issues needing addressed when we moved in and actually, did not even have need of our year walk through. We've not had any issues requiring warranty service at all. Everything looked great when we moved in! And it still looks great now.

Do you hate money? Then pay a premium price for below average workmanship. I've lived in a Viking built house for several years now, and it's starting to show it's cracks. Sure, they look great when they're brand new, but Viking cuts corners wherever possible to maximize their profit.Inadequate insulation in the attic has led to high heat bills and ice dam roof leaks. Doors hung improperly have led to rubbing and falling off of hinges. Poorly done caulking has allowed water to leak behind the cabinets in the kitchen. Improper installation of door kick plates has caused cracking of door frames and insecure locking. Siding hung improperly and has been falling from the house. The garage door spring snapped after a few years because Viking continually chooses the lowest quality supplier.Just this last week the builder installed closet shelf and rod collapsed and caused extensive drywall damage after slowly working its way loose over years because the main support board was cut too long. Instead of cutting it to the proper length the builder jammed it in and stapled in down. All of this incompetently done finishing work makes me shudder to think of the problems yet to be found deeper in the house.

Make sure to get a certified inspection. Recommended by Vikings own staff. With the fast production you are bound to have structural issues. Warping of rain water soaked subs. The list is long!!! And with the long wait times on materials. Good luck getting it done in a timely manor. Great attitudes, but minimal service on getting repairs done the right way so they don't have to come back 3+ times to "try" and cookie cutter fix the issue. Its called the wine theory. The longer it goes.... I give 5 stars for how nice the staff is, but 2 stars on build and repairs.

Be very careful. Recently had a granite sink completely fall out of place into the area where you store your dish soap etc. (yes below the sink). Of course paid several hundred extra $$ for that to be installed when the house was built. Installed meant apparently that they glued it in and added two 99 cent brackets on the side. No evidence of any wood rot, so simply glue! failed. Of course out of warranty period, so of course they are never responsible. Like the majority of reviews here, I'm sure they will respond telling me to contact service. Already done. Don't waste your typing. Your house will last a year, and then the problems will start. Paint will peel and crack, dry wall will begin to crumble. The super positive reviews on here are either fake or people who have not had their house a year yet. Buyer beware! So you will notice on their predictable response that somehow I am supposed to use maintenance to ensure my sink does not fall into the floor? Really? That's the best you can do? There is no way that a granite sink should ever fall away into the floor. Ever. That is just shoddy workmanship. So enjoy your ratings Viking Homes. You certainly deserve it and should be proud.

This spring (2016) we paid full price for one of the most expensive houses in the development. The foreman rushed us through our walk-through, told us not to worry about things like electrical, and assured us that everything would be handled before we closed. Once we finally got our keys to move in, we parked our U-Haul in the driveway on a rainy day and opened up the garage - the floor was still caked with mud (I had brought this up during our walk-through). On moving in, we found plenty of blue tape where we had marked cosmetic areas to be fixed - still there, not fixed. One of our screens was bent and we had marked it on our walk through - still not fixed nearly 4 months later. We had asked for our property line to be marked so we could put our fence in. I've asked about that 4 more times now over the past 4 months and it still isn't done. Our central air came on, but the AC unit wouldn't come on - turns out it was never actually wired in; I'm not sure how that passed the inspection for certificate of occupancy. Once we fired up our AC, it was short-cycling - turns out the filter was full of drywall dust and hadn't been changed out after they were done with the build. Our sprinkler system was a joke. They landscaped our front yard with 4 zones. Our backyard was about 6x the square footage of the front yard and they only used a 7-zone wire (leaving us just 3 zones for the entire backyard), so I had to buy another $100 worth of sprinkler wire and trench it to the opposite side of the house to have enough zones to control my backyard sprinklers. There was zero though put into our overall electrical and our sprinkler planning and multiple neighbors I've spoken with feel the same way.I've lost count of how many of my neighbors complain about run-off from their neighbors' packed clay yard - since all of the topsoil was stripped off all of our lots and never put back. I've got a neighbor who expressed concern about needing a sump pump if his crawlspace flooded and the foreman told him he wouldn't need a sump pump... turns out several of the surrounding houses had already been retrofitted with them.Overall I think our house will be okay in the long run, but I can already see lots of things I'm going to have to repair or replace long before I should, and our concrete already has small cracks in it - including my garage slab. It feels like they're throwing houses up as fast as they can and moving on to the next. Their warranty department is slow to respond, and I think their foreman is flat out dishonest and lazy. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't choose Viking.

Poor craftsmanship, they refuse to address issues with the home and blame everything on “cosmetics” have had to constantly call and email about multiple different repairs since we moved in. When you do get a reply it’s usually blaming the homeowner or a different department Within Viking. (Usually the foreman) We have only lived in our home for 5 months and we completely regret buying from Viking. Would highly recommended buying a preexisting home (as long as it wasn’t built by Viking) or buy new through another builder. I have already contacted the online service request and they have not returned my emails or calls for about 3 months now.

One more problem has come about, so far we've had to replace our roof ( wasn't up to code when they put it on, lifted on all corners, shingles not installed right) , replace 3 water faucets ( they were continuously dripping) , had to have all locks changed because there subs could still get in after we took possession of the house, & now the tile bench that they had installed in the master bathroom shower is unsafe to use because it was installed wrong. Just to be clear I've never sat on it because it looked unsafe. Well it is coming off the wall, it appears that they attached ( glued) it to the tile not the wall. Safe your money and build a home with a builder who hires subs that are certified in their trade. It will cost a bit more , its well worth the money. No they don't deserve a one star either. When they say that they will take care of issues at the one yr walk through. Bahahaha! Not ! They look at you and say that's not covered under the warranty. Like our house being painted two different shades of the same color. Ugh! I forgot to mention the cracks in the house because of settling, yes it happens I understand that, when they sent the sub out to fix them, they caulked them and called it good. Well caulking a crack doesn't fix a stress crack. We have hired a company to come fix all stress cracks this coming fall at a 2yr mark for our brand new home.Good luck with getting stuff fixed from Viking most likely you will pay out of pocket.

I recently moved into my retirement house that Viking Homes built and it is so pretty I love the vaulted ceilings and it gives a more spacious feel I have a Den and Mud Room give me all the extra space I need for guest and family that come to visit. I was very disappointed when I paid extra money for an upgraded insulated garage door and when I did the walk through someone had put two large holes in it and when I mentioned it they said they were only going to put tape over it. I thought that was a joke but sure enough after closing I get my keys and there are two Giant Pieces of White Tape covering the wholes. Viking Homes if you read this and are willing to fix it I would give you 5 stars.

I watch their ads on TV, so not true. I purchased a Viking home in Hayden Idaho. Had my walk though and they wrote down all the problems, and there were many problems. They never did fix the problems and the ones they said they did were only band aided. A gallon of paint was spilled on my new carpeting. They fixed it by having a carpet cleaner come in. That did not work, the carpet and pad were ruined. My driveway was pour with defective cement, and fell apart over a few years. They do not back up their homes and bully you if you complain. Very disappointed with this company and would never purchase another Viking home again.

DON'T USE VIKING BUILDERS!! We had the Victoria floor plan built in the summer of 2015. I wasn't a huge fan of Viking from hearing negative reviews over the past 15 plus years, but we decided to use them anyways due to the location. Well, that was a mistake. We've had issues with just about everything and now we're past the warranty phase and are still having issues we now have to pay for out of our pocket! Let me list examples: there was overspray paint on the wood floors from where the trim was painted. We had to get down on hands and knees with a razor blade to scrape it off. Outlet plates and heat vents are not square and loose. The sprinkler lines were placed outside our property lines (found out when we installed a fence) They didn't sweep the subfloor before installing the carpet. When you walk around without shoes, you can feel all the debris. The carpet was cut short in places and had staples sticking up. Ouch! One of the lower base kitchen cabinets wasn't fastened to the wall. When they built the house next door to us, they didn't grade it low enough so all their water drains into our yard. Our concrete driveway cracked along with some of the exposed aggregate ribbon. The first winter the driveway came up about an inch at the base where it meets the garage and has since cracked. One of our large windows had a broken seal and had to be replaced. The paint on the man door and trim on the side of the garage peeled off after six months. There's no vent screens to keep birds and other animals out. We are missing some covers to the crawl space vents. The garage door quit working. There was a loose wire that wasn't fastened. The furnace they installed isn't large enough for the size of the house which was verified by the company who installed it. The guest bedroom hardly gets any airflow. It's freezing in the winter and hot in the summer if you don't keep the door open all the time. Viking just said it's the longest run from the furnace. Unacceptable The worst thing I feel, we had a GAS LEAK since the first day we moved in. It was behind the stove/range. I don't know how we made it this long with out blowing up! Avista was nice enough to fix that for us. If you are planning on using Viking home, ask questions, babysit the contractors, get everything in writing and make sure to get you're 1 year final walk through. Something that wasn't communicated to us. We learned from a neighbor after the fact so we don’t get a final walk through. There are so many builders out there. Choose wisely.

Very disappointed in the quality of work done though out the home. So far nothing majorly wrong has happened but you would hope that with buying a new house there would be no need to already be concerned about fixing things(about 9 months ago). Grout has many bubbles that I’m noticing over time, the driveway has cracks that extend completely across and appears to be getting worse, the garage floor has concrete crumbling, doors are all uneven(don’t close, stick, deadbolt won’t lock, hung very high so you can see completely under all doors inside the house), gutters drain directly onto sidewalk leading to the main door and freeze all winter, siding comes unattached(after they already being fixed), kitchen sink has weak water pressure; I could go on..... When you do complain to them it’s difficult to get a response and when they do respond it’s just to say that most of these things won’t be covered. It’s just a lot of little frustration that I was hoping not to deal with so soon.

It's all exciting until they tell you what you can't have in your new home. Pass.No it wasn't custom. We wanted flooring and tile we were willing to pay for. There was no structural changes at all. Ruined the entire experience of having a home built. Thank goodness we found this out prior to signing papers. Basically were told, if it's not in the book of approved products - you can't have it.

It's such a tough review because in the end you'll love your house because it is your house. How can you not love a new house! As far as the builder goes it will leave a very sour feel in your mouth. I have yet met a person who has amazing things to say about them. It all starts with the realtors. They are very uninformed and will give you bad information. We were told we couldn't have a 3 car garage but once the drawing was done we could have totally done it but it was too late to change it. Then there is also problem with the design meetings we wanted a grey house but were told we couldn't because the houses around us were grey. That was wrong so now we have an identical house to our neighbors. Then the construction. We have walls that aren't square and sub floor that is poor. This was brought to Viking's attention during the construction period but was never fixed. Then when it comes to maintenance all you hear is it's "within construction standards". I never knew chunks in the sidewalk and holes in the garage were standards. I have sooo many stories from neighbors that it would take a week to write them all down. My feeling from then is they want to beat you down till you just give up and stop calling. We have a flooding issue in our yard and were told we should consider putting in a pond to deal with the issue. All that being said the house won't fall over and they are very pretty if you don't have to live through the construction. The best part we have found so far is it seems they build very good communities and the neighbors have been awesome. I would recommend them to a friend but I would give a lot of warnings that I wish I knew going in.***** In response to Viking. Thank you for reaching out. I'm aware of setbacks and were told they were 5 ft and that you need 12 ft for a 3rd car garage. We have 20 ft. So at some point we got bad information from the realtors. About the sub floor I mean the floor on the 2nd story. Maybe subfloor isn't the right terminology but it was brought up multiple times and there still problems. Even great floors told us they contacted you about replacing them and they were not replaced. . Before we purchased the house I asked if the drainage issues would be fixed and I was assured they would. We have set your maintenance crew, realtor and construction lead photos of our back yard with the pooling issue. We were told unless it is within 6 inches of the house it isn't an issue even though we brought it up before the foundation was even poured. Because of this swamp we couldn't put in a fence till June this year because the ground wasn't stable enough to walk on. One of your maintenance workers came to look at the issue and said "Other communities have similar problems and one person put in a pond and we should consider doing the same". Now because of the expense of either putting in a french drain or bringing in about a foot of fill(or both) we had to put off getting our yard in till next year.

We purchased a new Viking Home in the Twin Bridges subdivision in December (2019). During the months leading up to our closing, we dealt almost exclusively with Dawn, who is Viking’s Windermere Representative. Dawn was always willing to go the extra mile any time we had questions or concerns…and we had many! Thanks, Dawn!Once we closed on the home and moved in, there were a few things that still needed to be addressed – just little things that you would expect with any new construction. For warranty purposes, we went through Gabe, Viking’s Warranty Representative. Gabe was always super friendly, professional, and it was clear that he sincerely wanted us to be 100% happy with everything about our home. That said, our concerns were quickly expedited, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.Thank you, Viking Homes!

I am really not sure where to start... the good or the bad? Let me start by saying we started building in the Spring of 2015 and were moved in at the end of October 2015. We built a Cambridge ranch style home and were initially very excited... In fact we were very pleased with how things went thru about framing and thats about when the wheels came off.We started seeing things that we were not pleased about, such as holes in the siding, sheet rock that was damaged and puttied over. And then just before paint on the walls we started to get mice. Now, I get that with an open house there will likely be mice, but when there is a hole in the wall an you ask the realtor, foreman and you write to the company to open the wall and check to see if there were any inside you would think they would do it. However, they did not. You might also think that others in the neighborhood would have mice inside their homes during construction however we were the only ones, and the only ones to have problems since we moved in. Now, I will admit they put bait boxes out until we moved into the houses and that did seem to help. Problems continued though.Upon walkthrough several issues, we had grout missing, a improperly hung door frame, issues with paint, paint, paint and more paint. We were missing a screen, uncentered island, nail holes in our cabinets, paint on our flooring, we had a door frame in the house that had to pieces of wood that don't line up, but when I asked for it to be fixed they said no. We had a scratch on a window (yet to be fixed) Also had a wall that bowed in it as you looked down it, asked for that to be fixed and was told no. You name it we had an issue with it. We were assured everything else would get taken care of.Sadly it was not. Upon receiving keys to the house, we expected it to be clean however we had mud tracks now going through it. All of the door sills and window sills were full of dirt, paint was still not fixed/finished and we continued to find more problems. Now, I get that I can't blame Viking for everything, but when they put their name on the product and say that they are "centered around customer service." And that they say "we understand the importance of customer satisfaction." I just laugh, because if they truly cared we wouldn't have had issues. I wouldn't have even minded if it took an extra 2 or 3 months for things to have been done right but it wasn't. Remember the door I mentioned above? It took until February for it to get fixed. Four months!!!! The top of the door if at a 0 degree angle then the frame above it was at about a 9-10 degree angle sloping away from the door. We had a giant gap in it for four months. Our thermostat in the hallway of said door.... We had water get through and you can be assured we had air get through.Up until now I feel that I have been a little harsh on Viking, so let me tell you some of the good. We love the design of the house, we also like the colors/cabinets/countertops and flooring that we chose. We are also very happy that Viking offers upgrades. Really though thats about it and those are subcontractors work, not Viking. We had a terrible experience with the foreman who lied to our faces and told us that things would be fixed and then weren't. We have been here a year and a half now and our driveway is peeling and cracked. Because of the grade of our yard we have water issues.Because of this experience we will likely never build new again. Well, not with Viking at least.Had ALL my issues been taken care of when I first brought them up during walk through and things been taken care of in a timely manner this would likely be a different review. We still have unresolved issues that I have just given up on because I know Viking will not ever fix them. Its too bad too because the homes, if they were done correctly, not rushed and actually given some time to check over and finish properly, would likely be really nice homes. Instead they are rushed.

Within the first year I had my counter top come away from the wall almost 3 inches when the warranty repair men came to fix it they said that it was a temporary fix until the major fix at the 1 year walk through. When we got to the 1 year walk through which was extremely late the person in charge named Remington said that what they did was the repair and they were not going to do anything further now my counter looks schotty and I am not confident in its integrity. I am concerned that it will fall again soon.

We recently moved into a Viking home (may 2016. Twin bridges neighborhood: Prasada). We moved here from California and after looking at homes around the area we quickly realize for about the same price we could have a brand-new home. Overall we are happy with Viking. That's not to say that we didn't have problems but that's just how it goes when building a home no matter who you build it with. Some quality control was frustrating to us but at the end of the day we had a AMAZING realtor ( Amy Parrish highly recommend her!!!) who fought for us and Viking ultimately did the right thing. We are in our house now and absolutely love it! Definitely worth all the ups and downs. Also talking with some of our neighbors I have found they feel the same way. I've heard from quite a few people they would build a Viking home again.Tips:- make sure you get everything in writing! And I mean everything!- double check the selection sheet before you sign them. (We almost had white pickets after I know I said I wanted stained. Thankfully Viking did the right thing and corrected it)- if possible have Viking give you a price for the backyard. It is WAY cheaper than any landscaper will give you. (No joke: We saved $8,000 doing this!)- don't sign the final contract until you have everything you would like pricing for. Once you sign the contract they are done making changes and "working" with you.- if you think something is a "given" chances are it's not. Double check on locations of things, optionts, look etc.- you have the option of doing an electrical walk-through and a lighting fixture meeting if you request them.- you're also able to upgrade appliances if you go directly to Fred's appliances in Spokane Valley. Some neighbors who have the Standard appliances have had a lot of issues.- trust in the contractors. If you check on your home and you see something is wrong wait a few days and chances are they will have it fixed. They are doing a lot of houses and overall they have a pretty good checks and balances.- Your closing date will get pushed! Repeat IT WILL BE PUSHED! (We closed almost 2 months after our original closing date. Our closing date was pushed three times ) We were responsible for the mortgage rate extension, Hotel ( we gave notice to our apartment and was rented out so we had to move into a hotel for a week...was not happy!).A lot of the reviews I see are over quality. If you go to any other builder anywhere you're going to run into the same thing. I have a friend who build Greenstone and had nothing but problems. (Also green stones price per square foot is quite a bit higher!)Now that we are in I have had a few punch items I wanted them to address. ( faulty toilet, electrical plug not working etc.) I called them and they have been out to fix each and every problem to 100%. Granted I called him once a week until they come. The warranty guys are awesome though! They are super busy and could really use some help. However everytime they come out they are very nice and eficient. They are a busy growing company and if you want something done you need to be on them.At the end of the day we absolutely love our home, all the options and are very happy. I would build with Viking again.

The attention to detail on these homes is very poor. 10 days before closing in October they sent me an addendum that stated they will paint your house and put gutters up on or before June 17, 2017. That's 10 months after the scheduled closing date. Now when I spent $300,000 on a home I expected to be done when I close. My countertops were scratched, the drywall has screws sticking out of it, the closets were not finished as we spoke, The grading for each lot is horrible, The garage door never had a weatherseal, the back door into the garage does not close unless you use force, it's been six months they still have not come back to seal our aggregate walkway, The interior painting is not smooth you can see patches. This morning I got up to find my front ditch full of water along with my neighbors because they refuse to open up the drainage underneath the driveways and let everything drained. Your closing date will be pushed back guaranteed . The last two weeks Of the build will be hurried through and the walk-through they will promise you things but will not do complete. I highly recommend not using this company to build your home. And have you noticed their reply on all the negative reviews it's just a cut and paste. They truly do not care once everything is closed. I tried working with them after closing to have all these things fixed I was very friendly because I just wanted them done but none of them got done so here is my reviewUpdate June 17,2017. So it is now June and I have put in a work order several times last year and one 2 weeks ago. Emily stated she would have someone contact me to do the fixes and seal walkway, still nothing. I have talked to several neighbors and they have had the same issue. They stated they asked about the ditch and why they stay full of water? Same answer, 72 hour BS. There is a drain at the end of the street, why not use it. Anyway I hate to do this but I own a bisinesss and no way would I do such a job and then try to justify it with a polite comment, come finish the job I paid for. If you can't handle the work load, charge more and do fewer homes. And if it is common to not paint or put gutters up after October, don't wait till the very last minute to inform your client you will not finish the job until next year.Update August 1, 2017 I have been trying to get a hold of Viking for the past three weeks I have sent seven emails and left 12 voicemails trying to get my aggregate concrete sealed. I have yet to hear a response. according to their reply on the first review I left , They stated they would work with me and we're very polite and sounded like they were on top of any issues. That is not the case. And after seeing many of my next-door neighbors with a Viking truck out front months after the build I know they are in the same boat. I am a business owner myself and if my quality of work and response to my clients was as poor as Viking homes I would be out of business. I can promise you Viking homes you will never get any of my business nor will I have anything good to say about the building process with your Company. If I had the time and money I would take you to court for all these issues I would talk to everyone of my neighbors find out what their issues are and get them board as well. As neighbors we meet and talk and it seems as though everyone of us has cracks in our driveways and garages, The painting by Mike's painting is that of a five-year-old who does not care when you look at it at different angles you can actually see brush marks and where they change paint cans I mean it is absolutely ridiculous on the finished work of these homes.

I've lived in my Viking home for over 8 years now and absolutely hate it. They didn't caulk the outside windows which led to water damage and mold issues around all of my south facing Windows. They didn't caulk any of the bathtubs which led to water damage and me having to replace a bunch of the sheetrock and caulking everything myself (it's not like they did a poor caulking job, they just didn't caulk at all). They used such a poor quality garage door that it's all bent and cracked just from minor wind. I've seen 30 year old doors that look better then my junky door.My house has also settled so much that every room now has at least one crack in the wall. And I'm not just talking about a minor crack that's not a big deal. One crack is over 2 feet long now.I hate my house and wish I never would of bought it. I was 22 at the time and didn't know what I was doing and basically got scammed. Avoid Viking at all cost. I know I wish I would have :((I'm looking forward to the day I can sell this junk house and move on from it, but I feel bad for whoever owns it next)

My home was built in 2006 by Viking. Aside from normal wear and tear and some settling cracking it still is competitive and new looking. The craftsmanship shows. Even being older this home has weathered times well. Viking do you have a residing recommendation? Its on my list to reside the house. Thanks!

I had Viking build my home, they drilled a hole into the piping causing a water leak. They said they won’t even cover the cost to have the new pipe installed. Gross negligence and they won’t do the right thing. I’ll be using a new builder on my next home what a joke. Buyer beware.

We moved into a Viking Home a few years ago and we have had multiple problems with the fascia coming off. It seems it wasn’t all attached correctly and when we have strong winds it comes off in various places. We also have a half wall that isn’t level and various spots where you can feel staples under the carpet.

Well where to start. First Off the whole team in Pasco is incompetent, Real Estate agent has no concept of time and is very condescending and rude , General Foreman and Assistant General foreman never follow thru with their promises and are just as incompetent as the real estate agent.Had several things that were items on our final walk thru that where not finished by the time we were given our keys. Called the Viking main office in Spokane with a complaint and never got a phone call back. Viking seems like once you close on your house they could care less if something is wrong with your house. My advise to anyone who is looking to build a house DO NOT build with viking because they will just let you down and your house will be unfinished and full of problems. Our house was dirty and incomplete when we received our keys. Worst Builder in the Tri-Cities in my Opinion.

Bad experience. Bad service. Poor preselection meeting. We spent more than 3000 dollars to upgrade standard bathroom countertops to quartz. It turns out it is even worse than the standard one. Too small sinks. No size and dimensions for those sinks are shown at preselection meeting. Only shape there. I never saw those round undermount sinks sold at Lows and Home depot. Plus, even before they started to build the foundation, we are not allowed to make any changes. Plus, poor quality (crack slab, bad stub wall). Plus, they extend closing date because of their shortage of labors. I would definitely go elsewhere in the future.

From start to finish we have had issues with viking home construction. I won't bore you with details if would like more specifics just talk to the owner wendall who declined to give me his name and than hung up Me acting like a 2 year old or the superintendent Travis who didn't care of what we had to say to get things fixed before they moved on to the next step, or how about Terry the warrenty man who says everything that needs to be fixed per bad construction or lack of caring is now a courtesy to us to fix their mistakes! We bought a new home to not have half these issues! Even people around us when we start talking of the building process they are like ah you got viking to build yikes !! I guess they really dont care about their product or customers ! Our warning to everyone ....Please don't do business with viking !!
