The owners are super accommodating! Let us do a late check out and park our hunting trailer AND let us come shower 3 days after our stay before heading home. Couldn't find a public shower house but these guys let us come back and shower. Complimentary beer at check in. Laundry facility, essential items to purchase in the main office. Lots of parking room for trailers. If you are coming to riggins, stay at BIG Iron motel! Very affordable too!

This is a surprising little hotel. When you drive up to the Big Iron, you expect the typical small town hotel. What you get is exceptional service and extrememly comfortable and clean rooms.When you arrive you are greeted with fresh baked cookies and a cold beverage. Also there to greet you are the hotel's two Labrador Retrievers and their people. The hotel lobby features a "mini" store with all the last minute items you could need a wide variety of snacks.Our room featured an extrememly comfortable bed with quality linens and was as clean as any five star hotel. What I was really impressed with was that the heating/air unit was very quiet which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I recently stayed in Sun Valley Idaho and the room was very luxurious, but the experience was ruined by a loud heating/air unit that interupted my sleep every night. I would rather a good night's sleep in a little place like this than luxury and a sleepless night.I appreciate the attention to detail in this little place and am excited to stay again.

The owners are a treat. They give good advice, they're super friendly and they start your visit with cookies and a beverage. Mine was a Michelob Ultra.The room was recently refurbished, with a nice king bed, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. As others have mentioned, the resident Labradors are very sweet. Just a really good feel to this place and they're expanding. if you get a chance to try the new rooms in 2021 with a view of the River, definitely consider that.

Absolutely amazing! Welcoming place to be! Our room is amazing! It is set up and clean like one of those big expensive hotel chains only here you have comfort of real people. We are so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and property!! Their ice tea is great! Recommended!!!

What a Gem. This is such a nice hotel. Large, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Rose went above and beyond to make my stay here memorable. She offered me tea. I chose the iced tea and it was delicious. She also offered me cookies. They are pet friendly and charge a nominal fee for your pets. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is making Riggins their destination or just passing through. You won't be disappointed.

Nice clean room at a reasonable price. The owner Scott is extremely welcoming upon arrival and offers you beer and cookies during check in. He also asked me if I like salmon and I replied that I’ve never really eaten much of it so I wasn’t sure. He then went in the back and came out with a huge chunk of freshly prepared salmon for me and wife to try out. Needless to say it was amazing and I can now say that I do like salmon, especially if it’s cooked like that. I would definitely stay here again.

Years ago I wanted to stay at the "Bruce"motel. It always looked, old but warm and comfy. By accident I stopped at the Big Iron motel and spent 3 nights. I aked the owner, "What ever happaned to the Bruce Motel? They said. You are in it." I have never had better service, cleaner rooms, or more attention to detail. Yes small rooms, but who cares? New paint, new appliances- I could not believe a remodel would make a place look Brand New. If I could rate higher I would,

Everything about this motel and its owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. The rooms are incredibly spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff and owners were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Above all, for both the staff and the rooms, the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone passing through. It's well-worth the stay.P.S.: As an amendment, I had read one of the reviews from awhile ago stating that the beds were hard as a rock. From my experience, that seems not to have been the case so that perhaps has changed. The beds were extremely comfortable and soft.

We got there after a long hard 4 wheel trip. We were welcomed by the best ice cold sweet ever. The managers friendly and cordial great to talk to. It felt like being welcomed by family. The room clean and comfortable . I would definitely stay there again.

It was late at night and I was tired. I intended to try to make it to Boise Idaho. While going through Riggins Idaho I saw an unpretentious looking place that turned out to be the BIG IRON MOTEL. MARY the proprietor, welcomed me with warmth and a complimentary bottle of beer. Also, and not that they go together, but two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that her daughter makes for their customers.I spent a comfortable and quiet night and got up the next morning and asked Mary who was still at the front desk where I could find a good place for breakfast 😊😀. She recommended a small place that looked like a log cabin and they served a great breakfast and I was happily on my way at what turned out to be a wonderful beginning for a long trip. I'll never forget Mary.it was so out of character to find someone who would treat somebody coming out of the night like family.

The room is immaculate! The owners are kind and even let me meet there dog. Ours stayed home so a nice "dog fix" was so kind. The bed is so soft and clean and wonderfully comfortable. Do not miss the chance to stay in such comfort.

This is an amazing family ran hotel! You get actual full pots of coffee in room. Very friendly to humans and animals! Nice newly remodeled rooms, great beds and a hot tub. One of the nicest places we have stayed in a long time that was under 100$.

We came to Riggins for rafting and the hotel that was recommended to us had no vacancy. So we called the Big Iron. Upon arrival we were greeted with cookies and beer. A couple of our favorite things! After check in we came to the room and the first things we noticed were #1 a full sized coffee pot!!!!!!! #2 the room is the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. My husband and I travel A LOT. Around Idaho. Around the USA. Even international travel. And this was the cleanest room we have stayed in. The bed was super comfy. This will definitely be the place we stay for every Riggins trip.
