Collins roofing didn’t complete the job they were hired to do. They left my garage in unsafe conditions. Instead of fixing the roof they took out a main component of our heated garage so now the gas stays in the garage. They took out the chimney and still demands full payment. They threatened me with a lien but refuses to come fix their error. I will be filing a claim with osha and the contractor’s bond company. They refused all payments I’ve offered as well. Darn squirrels ... We had squirrels that had decided to move into our attic through a couple of holes they had chewed through the ridge cap in 2 peaks of our roof. We were referred to Collins roofing by a contractor friend of ours. We agreed to have them replace the ridge cap and repair the holes. They arrived the next day and had it finished the same day. Very nice to work with and they cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

Contacted Collins Roofing for a roof and gutter replacement estimate. Owner Josh replied via phone call within 2-3 days. He came out to the house and provided a printed estimate and information about materials in about 20 minutes! Very competitive pricing and larger gutter size than competitors. They were able to schedule us within 2 weeks! Large crew were prompt, polite, and very efficient! They did an fantastic job with installation and clean up - completed in less than 2 days! Collins was competitively priced, responsive to our questions and concerns and completed the job efficiently. We only waited a couple weeks before they called to schedule installation and they used enough crew to complete everything in one day (tear off, install and clean up for our house and a detached garage). They even made thorough double checks of the yard to get all nails and any debris. The new roof looks great!

I was referred to Collins Roofing several months ago. Our roof was leaking water into the master bedroom. After several other companies spotted imaginary "hail damage" and told me they'd need to replace the entire roof for $13,000, Collins got up there and sealed around a few areas at no charge and it hasn't leaked since. They did provide me a bid to replace the entire roof for $7,500 in case I wanted to go that route, which was the lowest bid I'd received. The roof still has a good 15 years in it but when it needs replaced I will go with Collins.

Collins has been used many times over the years at our home. Around five years ago for a new roof on a garage addition to our home. Several shingle repairs from wind damage on the house. Most recently gutter guards and chimney flashing repair on the house. I am always impressed with the communication. If you’ve had any experience with contractors, it’s like you have to BEG them to work for you. It’s some sort of miracle when they actually show up and keep coming back until the job is done. Not with Collins- they have always returned my calls or texts. There has even been times they have come on the same day if they’re in the area. I know they are busy- I see the trucks going by often. Part of the reason I chose them is they don’t blow the stop sign about 75% of other vehicles do near my house. That says something about integrity. Their work is high quality. My chimney flashing has leaked since I moved into this house in 2003. I have had numerous fellas work on it. Anyone who was up on the roof was asked to look at it. I’m so happy to see no leakage after their work even with the recent massive ice melt and rain. Two years ago, we hired Collins Roofing of Atlanta, IL, to reroof our home (located in Clinton IL) down to the plywood. The work was completed on 5/28/2018 and we assumed all was well.This year we sold our home contract for deed on 6/15/2020. When the new owners moved in, they went to the attic to store items (which we never did), and saw that the plywood is covered in mold (see attached photo). New owners contacted us, and we contacted Collins Roofing. We were told, by Josh Collins, that the mold was a result of inadequate venting and that they were not responsible because we “did not ask for a soffit inspection.” We are not roofers, we know nothing about roofing. So we hired a company that does roofing to replace our roof and make sure it was in working order. When they replaced the plywood, they said they did not notice any mold, but 2 years later, the plywood is covered in mold. He refuses to even come out and look at it. He told me to direct any further questions to his lawyer.We had Serve Pro come out and do an estimate for mold removal. It’s close to $9000 and does not include replacement or anything damaged or removed.

We now know that Collins roofing failed to replace one of our vents in our roof when they replaced our roof, simply covering a gaping hole in our plywood sheeting. Josh Collins claimed our mold issue was a result of inadequate venting and not their work. He has been shown the photos of the covered vent & he claims THIS inadequate venting isn’t the inadequate venting that caused our mold problem. THEY FAILED TO ADEQUATELY VENT OUR ROOF WHEN THEY COVERED AN EXISTING VENT. He refuses to make this right. We had another roofing company come out to give us an estimate & they said the entire roof is already soft - after only 2 years. He claims to have a 5 year warranty on work but apparently this does apply to us??? Do not use Collins Roofing.

They did a beautiful job on my roof and gutters. They listened to my problems and solved the roof leaking. It had been roofed several times before but still leaked afterwards. And it looks terrific! I am a small customer but they gave me service as though I was a huge customer!
