My project manager Jim was very professional and walked me through the insurance process answering all my questions. When the work crews showed up they were very polite and left my property in excellent condition when the project was finished. We chose Legends after getting multiple quotes and meeting with the area foreman who was very personable. They were not the least expensive or the most expense and had good reviews. We requested a basic job on a two-story home. We paid a deposit on the job and then were put on the schedule. Roughly a week later we had our first of FIVE different visits to get the job done. I am including pictures. Our work was completed by a subcontractor. The first visit left us with extra hardware attached to our home, mismeasurements, uneven gutter placement, a short spout directed flat onto our new roof, excessive left-over materials left in bushes and the yard and a downspout running across the middle of a sidewalk. There was a miscommunication between us and the foreman about where we wanted the gutters placed. We requested they correct the poor workmanship and come and complete the additional gutters that weren’t in our original quote. They requoted and stated they would correct the previous issues. They couldn’t come out immediately so the foremen came out to correct the immediate issues that he was able to address. The subcontractors came out a second time to add the gutters and correct the previous issues. After leaving we noted that they did not install gutter guards on the additional gutters they placed when they had previously. We asked they return and complete the work, the foreman stated that he didn’t know why they did it the first time since it wasn’t in our quote. After some back and forth they came back and added the gutter guards at no additional cost.We had an overall negative experience; we were willing to pay a higher rate for what we hoped was excellent service and were let down. We had a standard level of expectations for a basic gutter job from a well-known company. We will not be doing business from them in the future. The foreman did try to correct issues once we made him aware but the back and forth took several days in most cases and the end result is still not what we expected. In the end my husband still had to cut down some downspouts that were too far into the yard and reroute the downspout they had routed through a sidewalk.

I had Jim Hobson come out and inspect my roof for hail damage in Paxton. Jim helped me file a claim with State Farm and was there when they sent out an inspector. Jim was able to get my roof approved for replacement on the house and the garage. Jim was very professional and made me very comfortable throughout the entire process. A+ job by Legends Exteriors in Champaign, IL with our roof, siding and gutter replacements, I am giving them 5 *****. Jim Hobson is superb ! Professional, great listener and ready ans all my questions. [along with few stupid :) questions, i am sure as I never deal with such need in the past and not even aware of many terms associated with this work!] Not only they did phenomenal job at work, prior to that Jim took over the failed claim process due to arrogant adjuster and got it approved by working professionally with new adjuster and insurance company. Also i am sure at the end they end up spending good amount of time following up with insurance company for final payments and adjustments as the response from them was awful [Esurnace/AllState]. I am truly thankful to Legends for there efforts. Had a great experience working with Steve on our new roof and gutters. The first insurance adjuster did not take notice of all the damage. Steve was persistent in making sure our insurance would cover everything we needed replaced. He was very responsive and easy to work with. We used Legend Exteriors for our new roof, vents and gutters. From the start they were professional, responsive and willing to work with us. Our original roof, vents and gutters were in bad shape from years of bad do it yourself projects by the previous owner of our home. Legend worked with our insurance and scheduled us quickly. The new look of our house is perfect, we could not be more pleased. The roofing crew was amazing. They were clean, worked efficiently and so nice. The crew that came to do the gutters were also so nice. They completed all of our seamless gutters and downspouts within an hour and a half. Legend will be our “forever” company for our home. You cannot beat the quality and professionalism of Legend. They are top notch and my family definitely recommends them!

I cannot say enough about Legend exteriors and construction. We replaced our Roofing, Siding and Gutters and our home now looks like a Show Place. Our contact person at Legend was an individual named Joe Ward, what a pleasure to work with. Joe does not only have an in-depth knowledge of home construction, but he is also excellent on coordinating color combinations. We were torn between a couple of color combinations d Joe put our minds at ease, and our home just turned out beautiful. Joe is a great guy and Legend is a great company. I had storm damage and we got the run around from a different company, so I called Legend after seeing their sign on a property in the neighborhood. Joe was out the next day, talking with me about my options. Long story short, new roof, siding and gutters, all covered by insurance, thanks to Joe's persistence. in addition, I had doors and windows replaced in the front of the house. Everything turned out great and my house looks brand new. Hopefully, I'll never have to go through this again, but if I do, I know who to call!Service: Remodeling

Legend Exteriors replaced the siding and gutters on our home. The work was top notch, on time, and Erik worked tirelessly with our insurance company to ensure they paid for the repairs. He even came by and walked through the inspection with the adjuster. We went from thinking we would have to pay for all of it to only paying a small amount. A hail storm damaged our roof and gutters. Legend worked with our State Farm insurance company's adjustor to access the damage. A new roof and gutters were installed shortly after approval from the insurance company. Their experienced crew was professional, efficient, and courteous.

I had hail damage on my siding and a leak in an upstairs bedroom ceiling. Steve Ward climbed all over our house to prove to the insurance adjuster that the roof needed to be replaced. Neighbors went through legend after a hail storm in champaign. Saw the sign in the yard and called. Met with a salesman who said he will lookfor damage if i signed a contract and basically tricked me into signing. He went through my insurance company and was able to find damage with them during an inspection. He went and charged thed insurance comapny almost 20 thousand dollars on a 2000 sqft home for a complete tear off. They even went back to charge more as materials prices went up from when they gave me a quote to spring when they were actually able to do the work. Several people who did not speak any english came to do the work some of them seemed young to be working. They left nails everywhere and several neigbors had nails in their tires. My car also had a roofing nail in the tire which they said they would reimburse but made me take the car and waste my time to repair. They also never showed where i was reimbursed. One of the workers shot a nail gun and cracked my glass screen door. Which they did replace after finding what happened on a video camera i have on the property. Finally they put plywood over my brand new air conditioner out side while it was running. Workers never asked me to shut off the ac probably because they didnt know how to talk to me. Which triggered my system to auto shut off. It is a brand new high efficiency furnace and ac which i had to call my hvac company on my own to have them figure out why it wasnt working. The error code showed the fan was blocked creating pressure and triggering a safety shut off. Video camera also found the cause (plywood completely covering fan). Would not give your business to them. You can thank me later.

The Legend team knocked on our door and asked if they could inspect our roof after a recent hail storm in Champaign. The man who appeared to be in charge was so rude to his employee it was hard to watch.After they climbed down, the salesman insisted we had hail damage and thrust a contract into our hands to sign. We declined and called the company who replaced our roof last year, they came out and inspected the roof and said there was no hail damage.
