One of those thunderstorms a few weeks ago knocked down an old tree on my backyard. I was expecting that to happen sooner rather than later and I’m glad that nobody got hurt. Unfortunately that tree shattered two of my rear porch windows and ripped off a few pieces of siding when falling down. Siding damage was very painful because I just had it replaced last fall, as for my windows, although they were old, I’m happy I couldn’t afford to have them changed at that time. Long story short, my nephew recommended EDMAR for the repair job since they have finished working on his house in March.It was really a very small job when I look at it now, they took out those old broken windows, put in two new ones, and installed 3 siding panels. Fortunately my windows were standard size and available without special ordering, I also had 5 pieces of siding left from the installation last year so I didn’t have to look for that either. They were in and out in a couple of hours, left my back porch clean and brand new looking. Good job!

So here is my story guys, about fifteen years ago I had every single window (12 all together) and a pair of sliding doors replaced in my house in Lincoln Park Chicago. My bank account still remembers the day I had to write that big check. I will not mention the name of this manufacturing company but it’s one of the top brands on the market. Solid wood windows with aluminum clad exterior surface – beautiful! My honest opinion – don’t ever install aluminum clad wood windows.The problem was lingering under the cladding for years I believe; otherwise they wouldn’t fall apart on me like they did. What happened is that the aluminum cladding was leaking water along the glass pane and over the years the lower wood sections in 10 windows and one slider of the patio doors completely rotted out. I wasn’t aware of that until black spots started appearing under the varnish surface of the interior wood… unfortunately it was already too late and beyond any repair.Anyways, I skip the lawsuit part and quick forward to the last week when I got my replacements installed, all vinyl!. I was going to go with the people who play their window ads allover tv (I’m sure you’ve seen it) but I bumped into my buddy from the next block who was doing a lot of exterior remodeling on his property, mostly brickwork. He was very happy with Edmar, a contractor who did his entire front elevation. It turns out they have a division dedicated to installation of all types of replacement windows and sliding doors. I was already set on one particular manufacturer which happened to be their supplier as well. They gave me much better price for the same windows I was already quoted on.There was one thing that that they spotted during the removal of my old patio sliders and I’m extremely grateful for that. The old window sills where leaking (I got two windows located above the sliding doors) and one section of the header was completely rotten and sagging already… basically supported by that door. I’m just glad they showed me this problem and were able to replace damaged header.I’m very happy with your work Edmar Contractors, thanks for your help!

Thank you guys for making my mother happy! That huge bay window looks gorgeous, inside and out! My mom is not internet savvy and asked me to do the honors. So, this is what she asked me to say: “Thank you Mr. Edward for taking such a good care of my living room window. You have a wonderful crew of people who really know their jobs. They kept my place clean during the entire installation and even replaced some of the old, stained window trim. I now have extra space to put my flowers and more light coming to the front room. It was nice to have professionals working for me. I really appreciate it.

I have an old addition behind my house and it was sided with aluminum… very long time ago. Previous owner had a yard filled with junk and a lot of it was leaning against the house walls damaging siding. I called EDMAR to give me his price, he was my fourth estimate and came higher than 2 other guys, a few bucks below the most expensive one. The thing is that he knew what he’s talking about so we shook hands and two days ago I got my new siding. I asked his guys to save me aluminum and they even loaded it on my pickup. Good job and highly recommended!

I got 3 new windows installed on my house. They look wonderful and the price was decent! My neighbor had work done by them as well so I knew the quality of their work b when I decided to hire them. Great experience!

I have an older home and it was always cold inside I never really minded it till I had my baby and realized how cold lol I called a few places but EDMAR seemed to be more understanding about my rush on doing it he came out gave us a FREE estimate and I had my new Windows within a few weeks now my baby can sleep nice and warm and I have less worries thanks EDMAR from me and my family!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
