We had an odd request. We needed a very detailed inspection report for a bank loan. Jose and JC General Construction were very responsive and were the first to respond to our request.Jose came out quickly and spent two hours walking through the property. They were able to quickly provide a very detailed inspection and cost estimate. He brought up items we had originally missed.Through out the entire process Jose was very communicative and provided great advice.

Jose and his crew did a fantastic job on my basement remodel. Great work at a fair price. We redid the bathroom, drywall, flooring and installed a wet bar. Very helpful with staying within my budget and quick to respond with any questions or concerns. Very happy with the results. Will be calling Jose for any future projects. They did some extensive renovations on back porches converted to indoor living spaces in my three flat apartment building.One of the windows they installed started leaking water around it before long. It took a lot of contacting to get them to look at the issue, and then they just applied some more caulk. When the leak reappeared within a few months, they were even slower to respond. They kept putting off any work, rescheduling, and refusing to acknowledge that the window was not properly installed.After many attempts at getting them to actually fix the issue, JC just stopped responding. Completely ghosted me. They also wouldn't provide information about their insurance which supposedly covered their work.Would not trust these people ever again. Beware.

JC Construction crew did a wonderful job on the repair of our gutters and eaves.Furthermore, Jose answers and returns calls promptly. As the project was underway he called me with progress updates throughout the period of work.I do not hesitate to recommend JC Construction.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! We made the decision to combine a closet with the laundry closet to make one large room. JC Construction was responsive and came to give a free estimate. We were satisfied with the quote, and the work began almost immediately. The crew was kind, efficient, and considerate. Jose, our point of contact, was transparent and called daily to keep us in the loop about the status of the project. I cannot stress enough how professional and comprehensive this entire experience has been. Jose's crew performed major work on my hardwood floor which was water damaged, they installed new porcelain that I selected and it turned out beautiful, and for a reasonable price. Communication was constant, informative, and friendly which I was very thankful for. Our condo association needed to undertake a tuckpointing project on our 135-year-old buildings during the summer of 2022. As JC General Construction had the low bid and the best references, they were our chosen vendor.The crew was capable and diligent, and did their best to minimize disruption to our residents. They adapted readily to schedule changes necessitated by weather, and were meticulous in their cleanup at the end of the job. During projects on aging buildings, unexpected problems can arise and necessitate change orders, but Jose kept us apprised and offered options for our consideration. He was always available to respond to questions or concerns, willing to spend time reviewing progress, and open to suggestions He is an effective and affable communicator.It was our first time using this firm, but, based on their fine performance, we definitely will consider employing them for future projects.Service: Masonry installation

A few years ago, a leak began in my living room. I called a contractor, and he caulked around my windows, under our door, outlets and light fixtures. A month later, the leak began again. I probably hired about 6 contractors to help us with this leak with no resolve. I finally gave JC General Construction a call. They came right out and spent about an hour to inspect the leak. They were able to find the source of the problem. It ended up being that the contractors who built our home did not waterproof under our siding well, which caused the leak. We hired JC General Construction for this project, and the process was quick and easy. They were so confident that they can do the work, and assured me that once it was fixed that I wouldn’t see a leak ever again! I even asked if they can fix a different part of my house which had a few pieces of siding loose, and they fixed that as well. I definitely recommend them!Service: Repair water fixtures

I had to get a drain tile system installed in my basement, JC came to restore the basement after the drain tile system was installed. They worked very quickly & I wasn't in the way when I came down to ask questions. They were even able to add me basic bathroom for minimal cost because the floors and walls were already open. After the project was done I noticed a few things that weren't to my looking, they came back and corrected them. I’m bummed to leave these guys a bad review. But they were corresponding with me to set up a call or estimate and when I confirmed a day and time, I didn’t hear back from them. Then when I contacted them on the date I had agreed to, the guy hung up in my face. Very unprofessional. And unreliable.
