In July of 2023, we were hit with the torrential rain that impacted much of Cook County. We have more than two feet of sewer water in the basement. To make matters worse, our insurance company was overwhelmed and did not get back to us in a timely manner. After working with contractors who were hit and miss when it came to reliability, I finally called Manny at Mike’s Construction to give us a bid. He came out the next day to look at the work to be done and was able to start in less than two days. We now have a completely new upstairs bathroom, an updated kitchen, a new HVAC and a cleaned out catch basin. They even saved us $3,000 over another contractor who wanted 65% down. Go with a professional that are people who can trust.

Renovation nightmare!!!Unfortunately our current project is 3 months overdue for completion... Not due to financial reasons... due to mismanagement by Manny the foreman.... At this present time our calls are going unanswered, there is no timeline for completion date... we are told one thing which turns out to be nothing but lies by Manny...Who did not know half of the projects that were supposed to be completed... I've had to remind him 3 or 4 different times about the projects in the contract... We had new floors put in they are incomplete.... And it's been 6 weeks just to get the finished molding put in which they have not done I would advise anyone if you use Mike's construction save yourself a headache and go somewhere elseWe have done everything to help them complete their job The home has been available for them with full accessibilityI'm very disappointed The air conditioner that was put in in the fall had to be adjusted with no fuses this past week it has been a nightmare to say the least Very disappointed in this company and the work that they have done ....still looking for some answers

Great experience working with Mike's Construction. Had a porch and stairs replaced and a bedroom addition and electrical upgrades. Provided a detailed quote and took the time to understand the intent of the project versus just doing what we asked. By understanding the intent, they were able to make recommendations on how to make the project even better. Great experience. Would highly recommend them.

Our family has been working with Mike's for many years now. I love all of the staff as they are always super helpful and knowledgable. They have so many resources to fit any project on hand. Working with Manny and JR was great and easy!!! After calling several contractors to repair my outdoor front concrete stairs they all had ridiculous demands and prices. Mike’s Construction did a fantastic job and did exactly what I wanted with a very reasonable price. The work was done right, professionally and on time. This company dose shortcuts on their work. Bothe Manny and Mike are not trust worthy. They talk a good game but the work is not up to part. Save yourself time energy and headaches look the other way from these guys trust me.

I have been using Mike's Construction for years -- he first solved a tuckpointing and roof problem I had which two prior providers had failed to solve. Mike has helped me maintain my 90 year old 3-flat by always offering me his honest assessment of the best approach to keep my building in the best shape for a reasonable investment.The latest project was replacement of an old, decrepit deck/porch. His crew was efficient, clean, always helpful to me understanding what was happening. They did minimal damage to my precious garden and cleaned up completely when done.Can't say enough to recommend Mike's Construction.

Mike's Construction just installed new gutters and fascia on my 114 yr old house as well as a complete rebuilding of my back deck and replacementof some windows and storm doors. All the work is excellent and thecrew was efficient and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. The owner, Mike Piatek personally oversaw the project. I can recommend this company very highly.

It’s just been 3 years since my kitchen remodel and the grouting on my backsplash is crumbling. I wasn’t happy with the work but was reluctant to make a review because I knew it wouldn’t be a positive one. Also my floor tiles are uneven and my chairs are constantly getting caught. I really wouldn’t recommend them for remodeling
