Tom was awesome. He did a thorough job and was straightforward with explaining each of the solutions. We had him install towel holders in our bathrooms, fix our front door deadbolt and handle, and a couple of window latches that had come loose. Had a great experience with Tom from Mr Handyman. He was very friendly, explained all that he was planning to do to prior to starting the work. For one of my projects he offered a few options of how to resolve.He installed several light fixtures around the house and worked to ensure that the new fixtures covered the holes and indentation of the paint, thus eliminating a second step of painting the walls post-installation!

Curtis was on time, respectful of my home, and knowledgeable about the services I asked him to complete. That included adding a wire to my 2 HVACs and installing a damper to my downdraft attached to my island cooktop. Previously, my thermostat fan wasn't available due to how it was wired when my home was built 20 years ago. Curits used the "Add a wire" wiring off Amazon and it now works great. I'm unable to share the dampers he put in because it's difficult to photo/reach - but they're there!I've used Mr Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale once before and I'll continue to use them based on their great service. Highly recommend!

The plaster on my wall had bubbled out and began to crumble, so I called Mr. Handyman and they came out. They sent Tom Kissee, who was far and away the nicest, most knowledgeable and most helpful person I’ve ever dealt with in any capacity of home repair. He went step by step over what he was going to do and did a fantastic and thorough job. Due to financial constraints, I elected to only have the wall cut and filled, I will match the color and paint at a later date, even though he explained he could go to the store, get the paint and paint it for me. I do not see myself ever having to do home repairs without asking for Tom in the future, he is simply the best at what he does, and he does everything. I couldn’t be any happier with the job he did.

We purchased replacement shutters for the front of our house from a local store and needed Mr Handyman to install them for us. Steve explained how and why the hardware that came with the shutters would not work well for affixing them to the brick and mortar surface. Steve then obtained the correct and more durable hardware and completed the job beautifully. The shutter material will be able to withstand fluctuating temperatures and last a long time.

I had a few projects done. Both Simon and Steven were diligent workers, honest, and have impeccable workmanship. They were kind and informative. I had water damage in my basement and needed a wall repaired before our flooring was installed. They came out right away and did a job well done! The wall is seamless. Simon also removed a useless 1970’s style decorative doorway and used drywall which once again the wall was seamless. Stephen removed and replaced our 1970’s rock fireplace and updated it with modern stone. We are so happy with Mr. Handy Man’s service and attention to detail!

Mr. Handyman helped us with a few odds and ends around the house that probably weren't very challenging jobs but were things we didn't have knowledge/experience with. They were very friendly, came the same day we contacted them, and did a good job with the work. Our technician Stan was really great! He understood the problems right away and fixed them quickly. I am only taking a star off for the cost. It's fairly expensive, but I think that's the price one pays for the convenience of a handyman service. We're glad these things are finally resolved after many years of honestly leaving them on the back burner.

Wonderful job!!!! We bought a mount and we asked Mr. Handyman of Wheaton if they could fix it to the wall on top of the chimney, and it was so easy. They set a meeting on the same week and even the day before they called be because they were available, so at the end we had it fixed one day earlier! Tom was fantastic and very professional. He studied the options and suggested the best place to install the mount to it be secure and also that looked nice on the living room. He installed the mount very quickly and efficiently. I needed some work done with very short notice. They worked with my schedule to make it happen the very next day. I was running behind to be there for the appointment, but they politely worked with me.Our handyman was Ovi. Friendly and professional. We needed grab bars in two showers. He gave suggestions, and completed the work quickly, but thoroughly. And even offered to change out a lightbulb that was out and in a hard to reach area.I will definitely call again for future jobs.

When we called to schedule our services, Logan was amazing on the phone. Both times, he actually called us back to get us on the calendar one day sooner!! Very happy with the work Steve did. Polite and professional. Explained everything in detail. Replaced a dining room light fixture and the new bulbs were not compatible with the existing dimmer light switch so I wasn't going to get the full wattage of the bulb he explained to me. Steve went to his truck and got a new switch and installed it - problem solved. Went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and had full use of the new fixture. Nice to see someone do that

Off the chart expensive. Had out to bid to repair some loose tile leaks to an interior wall of a shower they quoted as if to remodel complete bathroom. Job is not that big received 3 less expensive quotes, 3 times less, guess I’m going that way. Note: have used Mr Handy for other projects before was very pleased, they just missed the boat on this one.
