Recently completed a basement remodeling project with Synergy. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. Starting from the design phase through the finished product. We are delighted with the completed project that included a master suite bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. First our highest compliments go to Adam who designed the project. His vision with our space was the beginning of our wonderful experience with Synergy. Next, highest recognition goes to Kimberly, our designer, who took our color palette and worked collaboratively with us to create a color scheme that exceeded our expectation. We were supported by a working crew of project managers who offered their knowledge and experience to coordinate our project with scheduling contractors, trouble-shooting when necessary, and communicating with us regularly. The contractors who came to our house were professional, experienced, and took extra care in keeping their workspace and our home neat and tidy throughout the project. Special mention is needed in the high quality of materials Synergy uses in terms of their cabinets, tile, flooring, and recommendation in working with an outside vendor for bathroom faucets and accessories. We are now using our new SPA and are enjoying each day in our new master suite space.

Synergy Builders completed a wonderful, somewhat complex and detailed home remodeling project for us to our complete satisfaction. From beginning to end they were good listeners, and worked very collaboratively through from the design process through finishing details. They are clearly concerned about satisfying the customer. All workers were professional and expert at what their job was as well as timely and courteous. We had 3 large projects completed by Synergy Builders. While we quoted each project with multiple contractors, we chose Synergy each time and we are happy with our decisions. We found them very easy to work with and flexible. During the designing phase, they asked us what we wanted, they provided ideas when we asked and they kept us on track from a timing perspective. During construction, you never know what surprises you run into but each time our project manager, Mark would talk it through with us and we’d agree on a plan forward. Lastly, every person that came into our house was friendly, respectful and clean.

Overall Synergy was the company we were looking for. What we wanted was quality work, done right to code, with minimal hassle. That's the experience we got. Everyone from sales, design, and construction was professional. They picked up very quickly that my husband and I were busy and wanted to be relatively hands off. I appreciated that. I suspect that this company might be pricey compared to other companies doing similar jobs, but in this industry you get what you pay for. We would definitely use them again.

Although we ended up not being able to move forward on the project due to our personal situation, John still made himself available to help guide me through many questions and offered up his advice whenever we needed/need it. His entire crew - Kenny, Marcos, the electricians, plumbers, painters, HVAC, drywall, and demo were all highly skilled and respectful of our home - cleaning up after themselves, etc. Extra kudos to Kenny - always delightful and efficient, and Marcos, the tile guy who is second to none! We just completed a 2 month project with Synergy Builders, remodeling 2 full baths and a powder room. We are very pleased with the outcome. The overall process from initial contract and design meetings to project completion went smoothly and on schedule. While they are not the least expensive, we were willing to pay more for a better result and fewer project headaches - they delivered. We were very happy with everyone we worked with, in particular our designer, Kimberly, and project manager, Bill. Redoing all the bathrooms in a house is a disruptive project but they did a very good job of minimizing the hassle and mess. We will use them again.

I wish I could share positive remarks similar to other's experience with this company but to be honest, the experience with our kitchen remodel was awful. The positives were the initial consultation, and the cabinet quality. Once the build started; however, everything went downhill very quickly. Our project was suppose to be from June 5th-July 28th and ended up "finishing" in December.First, we were given a calendar to follow the progress of our kitchen and know what was happening on what exact day; however, that itinerary was never accurate. There were more than two weeks of accumulated days where people were suppose to work and no one showed up. When a lonely soul would show up, he would be wandering around the house or sitting outside in his truck waiting for the project manager because he said he has never done a task like framing. Good to hear as a client :(Second, we had scheduled in advance ABT to install and panel our appliance. We chose this date based on this calendar we were given. When it came close to the install date, we had demo remaining and still down to the studs. We hounded the project manager about the timeline, he would reply with the same response that they were on time. This wasn't the case because they were far from being ready and thus we lost our spot for install.Finally and weeks behind we got dry wall up, and low and behold, we had walls off by 7inches. The worst part of it all was that I had to get my tape measure out, check their work, and point this out. We had to harass the higher up's and they gave us a new project manager. They had to tear down all the incorrectly measured walls and because of this incorrect measurement we had to decrease the size of our pantry.Installation day for my appliances came and we had to use their recommended company Wehrli because we lost our ABT spot. This ended up being $700 more than what ABT charged us. We asked if this would be covered because of how delayed they were and we got a whopping $250 credit...Our backsplash still has holes in the grout, one of our cabinets were sanded down when they sanded our drywall, there were seams that I had to caulk myself, and when their cabinet medics came to touch up the imperfection of our cabinets they missed many spots we flagged. We have under cabinet light rails that are not even, and still have small holes in our walls. This is the finished product we will have to live with because there was never a final walk through and there never will be.Looking back, our experience felt like we chose any ordinary contractor but paid a kitchen design company price for it. We waited a year for this company to be available because of they sold us on how we can trust them that they would manage this project in a timely manner as my wife and I are both busy with our own lives; but in the end, it ended with us managing, checking, and following up constantly only to be disappointed with the final result. Wish we had a better experience.

Synergy did a great job on our kitchen remodel, including cabinets, counters, plumbing, and electrical. This project went very smoothly. Minor changes were accommodated without a problem, and the team stayed perfectly on schedule, which is not always possible but very much appreciated in this case. Care was taken along the way to check with us on small decisions to make sure everything came out perfect. Our project manager, Erik Solis, was outstanding. He kept us informed very consistently, personally took care of special requests, and made sure every detail was to our satisfaction. All of the team members were great, also. The best thing about Synergy is that the actual people who are doing the work in your home are top notch. I met so many kind, hardworking, skilled, trustworthy people over the course of this long project. Each worker was friendly and respectful, which was especially important since I work from home. Somehow, the crew and I managed to navigate through my work situation with all of the tasks that needed to be completed in our home. They were careful to close all of the doors where I had asked them to, in order to make sure our pets didn't escape during the organized chaos. Their considerate behavior made a world of difference during an extremely stressful process. I wanted to give this company a higher rating. At the end of the day, the work was well done and the hardworking people who completed every step deserve recognition and praise that is higher than a 3-star review.However, the communication and project management were very poor. The wrong shower tiles were ordered, and no one bothered to check to make sure that what was delivered to our home was correct. We ended up keeping them since it would have delayed our project by a couple months to wait for the correct tiles. It was difficult to know if everything else that was ordered would match with the wrong tiles. That was a very expensive mistake, and it was a tough pill to swallow, knowing that we invested so much money and our selections were handled so poorly. There were so many other tasks that were handled in a last minute, haphazardly way. All of these things were preventable if there had just been good communication and organization.It is my hope that many important lessons were learned during this process so the management and communication can improve. Working with Synergy for our kitchen remodel was a great experience. From our 1st meeting with John we felt that Synergy’s approach was a good fit. They took the time to find out our style and how we wanted to use the space. Nicole did an excellent job with the design and was a great help with picking out appliances, and finishes. Both Nicole and John listened to our concerns, wants and needs, and were able to make our kitchen a wonderful space.Our project manager Eric was great as he kept us informed and would make sure we were happy with the work. We had a detailed timeline of the schedule and more importantly we were kept informed of any schedule change.All the contractors were great, very professional and cleaned up before they would leave for the day. There is always something that comes up during a remodel, and when we ran into an issue with the counter top Synergy made sure it was taken care of without any hesitation. They wanted to make sure we were completely happy with the result. Synergy has very high standards for their work and they really care about the end result and clients’ complete satisfaction.We would strongly recommend Synergy to our friends and neighbors and they would be the first on our list for any of our future remodeling needs.

We used Synergy Builders for our kitchen remodel in Westmont. Overall I think the most important thing during a remodel is to finish on time and on budget and Synergy nailed both those (we actually finished a day early). There were no major surprises and we did have a few little changes throughout the way but our project manager (Brad) talked through all of that, offered great suggestions, and got the work done on schedule. I would definitely recommend Synergy for all major remodels like we did. We essentially made our dining room and kitchen into one big kitchen. This was a full remodel of an 1893 house. Stripped to the studs and all new plumbing and electric. Our experience with Synergy was excellent. They kept us informed, seemed like they were always busy and had people schedule (no wasted time) and were far more reasonable in price than a few other estimates. The crews were top notch professionals who took pride in a quality job! They have a nice showroom that allows you to select cabinets, flooring, tile, counter tops and more under 1 roof with a designer and 3 options of pricing to choose from to stay within your budget. They also use a phone apt to show latest schedule and work order changes w-email to allow for renovation at your fingertips! They minimized the dust with covering floors and rooms not renovated. You wont go wrong with Synergy Builders. We had them finish our basement in our new construction home in Naperville, IL in July/August 2016. They are an incredibly professional, efficient, and easy to work with. Their work is excellent, high quality and exceeded our expectations. Their entire process took the stress out of this major project immediately after closing on our new home. The cost was significantly less for more amenities than our other quotes. Once we made our decision to contract with Synergy we were able to track the project through their on line application - Builder Trend which was great as we always knew what to expect. In addition, the Project Manager assigned to our project was always in contact with us throughout the process.We were amazed at how friendly and accommodating all of their contractors were through each step of the process. We had a basement finished 12 years ago in our former home and this experience was so much more positive than the last. We met with two other contractors before deciding on Synergy. One of the reasons we felt Synergy was excellent was their willingness to work with us in our budget. When looking at design options and then cabinet/counter options post design, they kept us in our budget range and openly let us know what would cause costs to go up and down. Nothing unexpected popped up in the entire process.During the project you choose your method of contact. We appreciated that we could mainly use text and email with our busy schedules. The Project Manager was always available to answer questions and meet on site if we wanted to review a piece of the project. I worked from home once a week and I always felt comfortable with the people working in our house, along with the days we weren't at home.The outcome of our kitchen renovation is beautiful. It is above and beyond what we imagined. I truly believe their entire team helped us get to this final point and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

Synergy did a fantastic job finishing our basement. Their staff were very friendly and easy to work with from start to finish. They were very patient as we fine tuned our layout to ensure it met our specific needs. Their tradesmen did an awesome job creating a brand new living space for our family. We now enjoy a beautiful granite topped wet bar, built in wine cabinets in the wall, exercise room, separate media room, cherry cabinets on both sides of the fireplace as well as an elegant bathroom.
