Although I ultimately chose another company (highly recommended by a friend) to replace my roof on a 100 year old house, Touchstone was wonderful to work with during the estimate process- very professional, clear, and willing to answer all my questions by text and phone. Mariusz, the foreman, tookPhotos by drone and sent them to me immediately so I could see the condition of the roof- and also had a crew come with ladders to gather information. I was very fortunate to have Touchstone do some extensive work on my property. After having met with several roofers, it was refreshing to meet with Mario who was honest and upfront about the scope of the project. He understood my concerns, answered my many questions and offered suggestions to potential issues. Andy and his crew were top notch. They worked tirelessly in the cold, were respectful of not only my property but my neighbor's as well and every day, left the area immaculate. Touchstone came to do a bunch of mortar repairs, replace a lintel and repair the concrete on our front stoop. We're really happy with the work - but more importantly, they showed up when they said they would, explained everything thoroughly and made sure the worksite was clean when they were done. I actually turned down a lower estimate from another company, because Touchstone sent such a detailed estimate (including the specific materials they would use) that I was confident they weren't cutting any corners.

Touchstone replaced sub-ground bricks in three locations in our basement interior. They photographed the areas that needed work and fully described the scope of the work to be performed. They gave us a choice of three types of bricks to use. The work took several days (which Touchstone had stated up front). The work was delayed a few days while the brick supply places were closed for New Years (which was an unfortunate surprise to Touchstone and to us. The Touchstone masons perform their work with high quality, care, and precision. They had used a high-lime mortar for our-sub-ground work which left the bricks looking like they had a white coat. When I expressed my concern about this, they came out twice to rectify my concern. The finished product is high quality. I am very satisfied with their work and with their professional and timely responsiveness to the concern I expressed. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with the interior sub-ground brick work they did. This is the second time I have used Touchstone, and each time the work was done professionally and on time. The current project involved stucco repair on the third floor of an exterior wall as well as stucco replacement on a roof top deck, roof and parapet wall repair and other jobs. Work began when scheduled, and multiple teams were able to complete the work in several days. We had been dealing with some masonry/tuck-pointing issues for a while now and did not have much luck finding a responsive and reliable contractor. We found Touchstone through Angie’s List. Touchstone’s Project Manager, Mario, was able to initially assess our issue over the phone and came out to the property within a couple days of our initial contact to get a better look at things. He and his team were then able to pin point the major and minor issues that we had and quoted us a fair price for the work. They were able to schedule our work very quickly and got a LOT done in only a few hours. We are very pleased with this company and would highly recommend them. These contractors worked on the building next door to me for more than a month from November to December 2020 and were totally inconsiderate and unprofessional. They parked their trucks and an outhouse in front of my building every day, used my roof without permission to access the side of the building that faces me, and stomped around on my roof shouting to each other all day while I worked from home. They also left a mess on my patio and back stairs, and broke-in to the back of my property to help themselves to my building’s water to hose off their equipment. I recommend not using these guys’ poor service.
