When you plan on replacing a roof, siding or gutters, your needs are simply to find and employ a vendor who is competent. When a disaster, such as a hail storm necessitates replacement, you have expanded requirements and expectations.In the past, I had a roof replaced where there was damage to personal property due to huge bundles of shingles being dropped on the roof decking. This worry resurfaced. In addition to past concerns, the hail storm damaged three skylights, two of which were custom 8 ft by 3 ft. Since the skylights were Pella and Pella no longer makes skylights, I needed support in finding a manufacturer that would provide the same quality. These are only a few examples of my particular special circumstances.Mr. Warkentin, co-owner of Vertex, went beyond my expectations to alleviate my concerns. He personally removed art objects from shelves, and pictures from the walls. He researched companies providing custom skylights and supplied specifications from two top candidates. He guided me with insight concerning confusing print outs from my insurance company.Vertex went beyond quality of workmanship. Vertex is a customer service model for friendly professional support. At all times, I was fully informed and work dates were always met. It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Vertex Restoration.La Verne Thompson

Very positive experience dealing with Blake and his company. I evaluated 9 contractors both big and small for my roofing project and Blake of Vertex Restoration was the most responsive, knowledgeable and professional of all of them. Most importantly their pricing is extremely competitive plus they did not try to up-sell me anything I did not need. Beware of companies offering low-ball price quotes as there is always a hidden catch (e.g. licensing issues, no insurance, BBB complaints etc.). The quality of work by Vetex is top notch, if you do not believe me just call the list of references they are more than willing to provide to confirm what I am saying. If you are going to have anything done to the exterior of your house do not take any chances and take the time to talk to the right contractors. Vertex Restoration should definitely be included on that list.

The guys at Vertex Restoration did an amazing job on our house. They were able to accompany our insurance company for a walk-thru of the property in order to ensure that we got everything covered that we needed. The laborers were very skilled and detailed in their work and always accommodated our requests. Afterwards, Vertex kept in contact with us during storms that followed the completion of the project just to make sure everything was okay. My new Roof Experience was nowhere near all the BAD stories I had heard from friends and family. Blake was easy to work with and kept me up to date with what was going on with the Insurance and Home OwnersAssociation.The work was completed on time, done with no problems on the Final Inspection by the Home Owners Association. Surrounding area of the home had all the metal garbage cleaned up using a magnetized Pick-Up Rake.Of course, my selection of a roofer was that Blake is a Chicago Cubs fan!

Working with Vertex from the beginning was very different! I had a leaky roof and called four different roofing companies. One never showed up, and two others never went into my attic. When Vertex (Blake Warkentin, company owner) showed up, the very first thing he did was inspected my attic and explained to me that you will never find a leaking roof from the top. After an internal and external inspection of my roof, it was determined that I did in fact have a damaged ridge vent. After speaking to Blake, I decided to make an insurance claim. Blake was there with me through the whole process of filing the claim. He and I talked about Vertex tarping my roof, but I decided against having the additional nail holes up there. So Blake himself left and ran out for caulk. He then returned to do the caulk job himself. After showing me pictures of what he had done, I was content. My insurance company re-scheduled my inspection numerous times, all of which Blake was here early and ready for their inspection. Finally on the day of the inspection, Blake was here again to do the walk thru with them and answer any questions they had. My adjustor did rely heavily on what Blake told them from a roof structural standpoint. In the end I was not granted a full roof replacement. After speaking to Blake I asked him what I owed him so far, and he said “NO CHARGE.” I was shocked and highly impressed that he would spend so much time out here and caulking at no charge.I did decide to do a full roof replacement with Vertex. Blake was very patient with me and never tried to upsell me on a single thing. In fact he told me my gutters will last for years, and there is no need to touch then for now. Again, very impressive and the opposite of what most sales pitch! My roof replacement went very smoothly, Blake was here early that morning to explain the whole process to me and what can be expected, even introduced me to the head installer. The crew was polite and very clean. Roof replacement is a messy job, but the team had someone cleaning ALL DAY, and rolled my yard MANY times with a magnet to catch any nails. The crew finished in the dark and they were even in my bushes with flashlights. They also blew the entire yard and deck upon completion. Blake was back out for the final inspection and again rolled the yard and walked the roof to triple check the job. Blake made the roof buying experience a pleasant one and I’d recommend Vertex to anyone whom asks!

Until our gutters were removed and our house was not protected from any upcoming storms. Well when that storm came our basement flooded. We were then told that they were not responsible for any damages done to our house. We had to replace the drywall in said room and the floor throughout our entire basement. Something we were not looking to do at the time. The whole siding process was a joke with different contractors there on pretty much a daily basis some of which were under the influence of alcohol as well. Towards the end of our job we came home to find that the LP siding with what was supposed to be baked on paint was being painted by hand in our driveway. We were told that this was a supplier paint job and that they never painted on site. I still have siding up that you can tell was painted by hand. The caulk job was never finished either and we were told that they would come and finish this or send me some caulk which neither happened. What happened was I got blocked from being able to call for help or for them to finish the job. All in all it was a **** show. Our caulking is not complete. We are out of pocket for damages done to our basement due to neglect from Vertex and were are just being ignored. On top of that the leaf guard gutter system that we had was re-installed incorrectly so once again out of pocket to have them(Leaf *****) come back to fix it. It would have been nice if what we were told in the beginning was what actually happened. Instead we were told we were being too picky about lighting fixtures being put back up crooked or back boxes being off center. SMHThere claim that there was nothing said about the basement is false. They" Jesse "was called the following morning regarding the basement flooding that came through our basement window NOT THE HOLE IN THE BACK OF THE HOUSE. JESSE HAD TOLD ME DIRECTLY THATS NOT OUR FAULT!!! HE TOOK THE GUTTERS DOWN DID NOT PROTECT OUR HOUSE AND THE LEAK CAME THROUGH MY BASEMENT WINDOW.They are trying to cover their butt by making false accusations and not handling the situation like a reputable company would have. GUTTER GAURDS ARE STILL MISSING. CAULKING IS STILL NOT COMPLETE AND THEY AS A COMPANY ARE NOT BEING RESPONSIVE IN A MATTER THAT THEY SHOULD BE. Just making up excuses to make them seem that they handled the job properly. Once again a joke!! Don't buy it. LOOK AT THE PICTURES THAT IVE POSTED AND TELL ME OTHERWISE LOL Both me and my "WIFE" tried to call like I said when this happened and got BLOCKED from them answering us. If they "Jesse"would have finished what he stated and not blocked our calls we would not be angry because he was a friend. Instead we were ignored.
