Currently gathering bids for my building in crest hill and Tahsin has been phenomenal to work with. On the initial walk through he introduced himself and was kind and courteous. Answered all my questions and submitted proposals in a professional and timely manner. We have a few projects around my building strongly considering this company to complete everything all together. Will update review and tell everyone how the work was done once completed but so far o am impressed with the level of professionalism that has been presented thus far.

I had my siding installed in March 2000 and I was satisfied with it and even when I noticed something minor while they were installing it, they resolved it. I was surprised that they included exterior lights and garage in their claim to insurance company. They replaced my old garage door with insulation to a door with no insulation, i called them back to insulate my garage door and they did. So, let it be a warning for others to check all details in your contract. I actually prefer the old door, this seemed like a cheaper quality. Anyway, Tashin is a good salesman, he can persuade and has more patience, it took nearly 1 yr to convince me and sign the contract.After a while, i noticed a few things, a bat flying inside our house and water leak. I called them to check if there were any gaps that could have caused the bat to enter. They couldn't find anything and I haven't seen anymore bats in the house. The reason for water leaks is because the doors and windows capping wasn't done properly. So make sure DON'T GET YOU EXTERIOR WORK DONE IN COLD SEASON. I had to go around and caulk myself and fill the gaps with foam around the windows. Lately, I also noticed that the gutters weren't installed properly either.

Avoid this business like plaque. Our HOA did a few quotes for wooden porch stairs repair, and finally chose Lakeshore as they first would presented you with seemingly organized projects/quotes in all efforts they could (from their “sales rep Tahsin” in our case).1. Tahsin would presented himself as very much “sales person” and talk you into trusting their business. Part of the reason we went with their business was due to their competitive quote - who knows they has artistically make their client stuck with them and asking for more cost? Here's what happened - Once we signed the contract in early September, they started the work. After they been working for 3 days in our property, they only to tell us that they need additional $4000 when in fact they could’ve inform us five days prior instead of waiting until they complete half of our porch repair and left us no choice. The unpleasant surprise could have been avoided on Day #1(9/9), instead of five days later on 9/14.2. Tahsin handle money only – it was clear to us that he appeared very pushy when we were deciding whether to sign the contract and move forward, once we signed, the flow became waiting for a whole week for an email response.3. Contract was not made clear and dishonest in putting in the listed breakdown. We had to consult with an attorney for the detailed items.4. Last but not least - here’s how we know they are dishonest: When we couldn’t find Tahsin last month (Oct 2022), we had to call their company several times to verify the phase of our project. Project manager “Manny” and another manager Carmen told us in fact this is the 1-day work, when in fact in the contract Tahsin presented us was 2-day Labor – total labor cost of $1500. We are getting various information and it was clear to us that it was very un-organized builder.This is absolutely not a business we would hire again, let alone trust. Not to mention the poor quality work (see pic) and that they left a mess on our balcony without cleaning up (see pictures) until we have to continue calling them.Everything aforementioned has supporting documentation. All in all, after TWO months (Sep 2022-Nov 2022), our porch was finally done repairing. This was the worst experience that our HOA has ever need to deal with. Be aware.

We had an EDCO steel roof installed. Lakeshore is very knowledgeable about how to properly install this product and the rep explained everything they were going to do and why. Recommended if you are considering a steel roof.

ADDENDUM: I am editing my review to 5 Stars. After my initial review, I received a call back from Tahsin Rahman who was very concerned about my dissatisfaction. He was extremely helpful with resolving all previous issues and has done so to my satisfaction. Yes, I would highly recommend this company and, in fact I am having additional work done by them in the near future.INITIAL REVIEW:2 or 3 Stars only.....sorry. I used this service just to add Trex 'wrap' and footing around 3 deck beams. I provided a board left from my original Trex deck installation for color matching. Work was done when I wasn't home. Needless to say, 3 1/2 beams were covered and my sample board was missing. Lost in translation, although the contract cleary showed 3 beams, workers used my beam (I guess they thought they were doing me a 'favor') and partially wrapped the 4th beam with MY board. It's always something, right? When I called and spoke with person who did my original estimate, he came to see what was done. Now, the agreement was to either finish the unfinished 4th beam and replace my sample board or remove the wrap from the 4th beam and replace my sample board. Naturally, they chose to remove the wrap from the 4th beam and replace my sample board. Again, not home when re-work took place. The board left to 'replace' my sample was about 1 1/2 times the length of my original board, too heavy and now I can't even lift it to put it back in my garage. I live alone, 60 years old with arthritis. When I asked if they could please come back out to cut the board so I can move it, they said they would not do that. The board still sits under my deck, I guess until I can pay someone ($$) to cut and move it for me. No bueno! Not good Customer Service follow up after job completion. I did receive a very prompt phone asking for my payment.

Stay Away! Lakeshore Builders Restoration Co - Big Problems, Big RegretsHired Lakeshore Builders Restoration Co to replace my shingles, and it's been a nightmare. Wavy roof, damaged siding, missing moisture barrier, and a crew that vanished after taking my money. They never returned calls, and their "warranty" seems worthless. Don't trust them with your roof, find someone honest and reliable!

I don’t enjoy posting negative reviews but you earned this one. If you’re dealing with a short salesperson named Dan Baier, then I can guarantee he will fall short on his promises. If you’re dealing with Lakeshore Builders Restoration Co, please escort them off your property. This is not a business you want anywhere near you, your family or your friends. A promise, guarantee or a man to man handshake means nothing to them. Whatever work you need done will not be done correctly, they will fall short. I will make sure to warn others. Yes this is a REAL review from one of their unhappy customers now looking for another contractor to fix their subpar work. I will be contacting the Illinois Attorney General.

They recently replaced our roof after we found issues caused by a previous contractor. Obvously, I can’t comment on long term results yet, but the rep seemed knowledeable about products and what the issues were, both from the previous contractor and with the design flaws of our house, and they added proper ventalation to our attic. This is something that most “roofers” do not want to address, let alone properly install the products that you want.

Did a portion of my insurance claim,painting home and garage door replacement being the primary repairs, and overall had a positive experience.The only thing holding back a 5 star is the communication. I recommend requesting everything written or documented in some manner. I went over the paint color i wanted numerous times and had to bring up certain repairs several times because almost nothing was written down. I requested a written contract be itemized so we were on the same page with what was being done.Again, overall positive experience but as a homeowner protect yourself by having everything in writing.

I was trying to determine if his inspection will meet my needs. He tells me I don't understand what he's saying and hangs up on me. I'm an engineer. I guess that answers my question. I asked for no free advice, only what price tier would meet my needs, but the representative couldn't understand what I was asking or didn't know.

Danilo Molina gave us a great experience in our roof repair. We needed our repaired as soon as possible and he helped us get approved quickly and the job they did was amazing! One of their salespeople told me Lakeshore wouldn't do the job because it was only $3k+. I made the mistake of working with their own personal company they wanted to collect the money on, who mislead me on what could be fixed, then replaced the WRONG gutter, and gave me an excuse negating the original quote details where they were said they could address it.That's on me, but when I pointed out that dishonesty, the Lakeshore salesperson suggested a sketchy way to fix it UNDER Lakeshore's business, hence their misdirection to work with their side company upon initial inspection was on purpose. It just makes me not trust the whole operation and who is working there.

After a hail storm last year we chose Lakeshore Builders Restoration to replace the roof. Could not be happier with the roof so this year we had LBR install new siding and gutters along with house wrap and insulation. Once again 100% satisfied! Lakeshore did my roofing and siding and I couldn't be happier with them, they kept me up to date on when everything was scheduled and Danilo was very responsive . They worked with me on the material I wanted, to when I wanted the work completed. Danilo is hands down the guy when it comes to answering my questions. My husband and I used Lakeshore Builders Restoration in 2021 for a new siding job on three sides of our brick front home. We also had them complete some exterior painting. Great group to work with. Really appreciate that they stand behind their product and service. When we had the house resided, they added an additional foam board layer of insulation and told us that it would reduce our Heating/Cooling bills - took it for marketing hype but to their word we saw our costs drop significantly. I had a Superb experience with Lakeshore Builders. Juan was very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the materials they were going to place on the house. He brought samples so I knew how it would look on the house. There was no hidden agenda. They are also very punctual and they clean up after themselves. Very few companies that I dealt with, will do this. Carmen is also superb. She is courteous, efficient and always willing to hear any concerns. She answers all your questions. I highly recommend this company as well as its personnel.

There are so many roofing companies and contractors out there, but who can you trust? Carlos at Lakeshore got my new roof approved within a couple weeks. He negotiated with my insurance company to lower my ridiculously high deductible, and convinced me to go with an upgrade on the ridge vent. Glad I did. He recommended the shingle color and it looks great. It was all cleaned up when everything was done.

From the initial contact with Tahsin the salesman , the e-mail contacts with Susan at the office, the crews coming to do the work and the follow up details with Juan after having substantial storm damage to my home I have been VERY satisfied with the professional service that Lakeshore Builders provided for me and I would highly recommend them if you have any home repairs needed. They also have the ability to work with your insurance company at every stage and you only need to pick out your style, colors, windows or doors and they do the rest. Company did fantastic work. Tahsin was great to work with. No phone call or text message went unanswered. Was updated throughout the project with time frames and what toexpect. When work started they showed up on time and completed the job same day including all clean-up. They even used a leaf blower to blow off the driveway, front sidewalk, and front stoop. By jobs end I couldn’t even tell work was done! Extremely professional!

They came out and gave me an estimate on my role they took the check and never did the job they took 30% of a claim and never did the job. I was not contacted only twice and the took a cut from the claimbcheck for work that wasn't even performed. In the future I won't be using thos company.Service: Roof inspection
