Got Midwest Elite Exterior number from a coworker that recommended them. Gave TJ Mena a call when we had a leak in our roof. He was able to secure enough insurance money for full roof, gutters and new roof decking. They pulled the permits and had everything down in 2.5 days. They were great to work with a guiding me through the whole process. Service was very good and workers were nice and respectful. Had one small problem with a gutter after they were done, it wasn’t fully sealed and needed to be re aligned to drain properly. Called TJ and the gutter guys were over in a day to fix it. Roof looks great.

Just had my roof done and worked with David Montoya.He was great! Very helpful, easy to reach, and answered all my questions. I wasn’t sure about the color shingles I picked and reached back out to him and he offered to bring more samples to my house so I could really figure out what I wanted. He handled everything with the insurance company which was great. The roof was completed quickly and the guys cleaned up perfectly. Looks great!Service: Roof installation

I don't usually write many reviews but when approached by TJ Mena from Midwest I was skeptical about him getting my roof replaced via my insurance due to another company failed to show up for the inspection with my insurance company. Since that other company blew me off my insurance company denied the claim. TJ assured me he could get it approved which is exactly what he did. The only small issue I had was a few guys from the team that did the work literally dropped some of the bundles of shingles onto my roof causing many of my recessed lights to come out of my ceiling. I mentioned this to TJ and he said that he would let the team know. I'm sure that he did. My recessed lights were NOT damaged they just had to be pushed back into place. TJ has followed up making sure that my wife and I are satisfied with the work..... we are satisfied for sure and will recommend Midwest (and TJ) to family and friends.

This company is great!!! The first contact is Alfonso Barerra. He explained everything from the very beginning and the whole process. He was honest and he did what he said he would do. He fought the insurance company to get the coverage we deserved! Alfonso is very professional, respectful and friendly. He is always available , replies to phone calls and text promptly!! ! The work was great overall! WE GOT OUR NEW ROOF! SHOUT OUT to Heyder, his partner who oversaw the workers, and also the main Gutter guy, Carlos ,friendly and also did a great Job with the gutters! Im a very satisfied costumer! The work was done in a timely manner, and these guys are highly professional! Highly recommended!! 5 🌟 stars!!!

***RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS*** They have an established history of frauding people! We hired another contracting company to replace our roofing and was working with said employee (named TJ). Unbeknownst to us, TJ had an agreed side hustle whereby he would sell contracts to Midwest Elite Exteriors to work as the subcontractor, in return for a percentage of the check. Fortunately, the contractor learned of this and informed us, terminated TJ, apologized profusely, and compensated us for the trouble. We had given TJ/Midwest the check for $43,000 and told then we were dissolving their service due to nefarious business practices and demanded our a full refund of MY money Jose, the manager refused to do so, then tried to keep several thousand dollars for "expenses," when he didn't do anything. Finally, they agreed to reimburse us in two payments. They issued the first check, stating the second would arrive by 7/29. On that date, they alleged the check was mailed, but more than a week later, no check arrived. I called the company demanding I have the check in-hand no later than noon the following day. They made every excuse as to why this was impossible. Then, I spoke with Jose, who claimed the check was mailed two days ago and I have to wait for its arrival. Again, I made the same demands and told him if my demands were not met, I would contact an attorney, my insurance company, BBB, and leave online negative comments on every website. Then, Jose attempted extortion by stating he'd bring the check the next day IF I agreed to sign a contract prohibiting me from leaving any negative reviews. Of course, I refused because I wasn't going to them to go unpunished or repeat this dishonorable action to anyone else. The next morning Daniel shows up at my home-no previous notice he was coming (probably hoping no one was home). But, fortunately I was working from home that day. Daniel refused to give me my check unless I signed the agreement waiving my rights to leave negative comments. I video recorded the entire event. When I wouldn't sign it, Daniel refused to relinquish the check. I realized that due to the circumstances of them forcing me to sign it in return for MY money and is extortion and duress. I agreed to sign it, but then Daniel walked away and wouldn't let me sign it. I called him out on the video and he returned but wouldn't allow me to hold the document to sign, reread it, or even touch it. I simply placed a line on the form and finally received MY money. I immediately contacted my attorney who assured me the document bears ZERO legitimacy and is unenforceable. He laughed saying, "what can they do? If they sue you then they'll have to explain to the judge they received your money by deception and refused to return your money unless you signed the agreement, which you consistently refused. This is extortion and forcing you to sign under duress. Afterwards, I learned this is a common business practice of theirs. If we endured that BEFORE any work, I hate to imagine what would have transpired if they were our actual subcontractor. Run Away from Midwest Elite Exteriors.

Was at a friends house while they had some work done. We talked about turning them away once we saw their tacky, unprofessional promotional vehicle but unfortunately did not. Now she’s paid twice as much to have to original work fixed by someone else. Forgot until I saw that same vehicle around Chicago.
