We LOVE our new doors and we got great pricing by signing the day the sales person came in. Great American Exteriors just completed our back porch and side deck and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Love the end product for sure BUT sincerely was impressed with the whole process from start to finish as there were no surprises. Rob, our initial contact, was not only informative, knowledgeable, and flexible - he was warm, welcoming, polite, and even funny - both my husband and I truly enjoyed working with him. He offered solutions when we did not have them and went out of his way to get us to what we wanted within our budget. LOVE our new patio!We worked with John from GRAMEX to redo our deck and add pool stairs with a new landing. He was awesome to work with and gave us great ideas on what to do with the deck and made the process so simple. Our new concrete patio is amazing and makes the backyard look better and we have more useable space now. The pool stairs and landing are so much sturdier and better than before. The prices were very competitive but the work was worth way more so the decision was not hard to decide on who we would hire for our custom windows. We hired Great American Exteriors to remove our existing driveway and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The entire experience was top notch from beginning to end, from working with Sam and Jason, as well as the concrete crew on the project. They even went above and beyond to replace some trim on our garage that was damaged from the previous driveway at no charge. Great American sided our Chimney in multi tonal faux stone and it looks amazing! The whole process was easy and smooth. Our salesman Rob, was knowledgeable and talked with us for quite a while and helped us settle on which project on our list we should do first. If you speak with an accent they are not thrilled to work with you and the President of the company Sam Sanfilippo does not have a problem sharing this with you in a very sarcastic, weird way. Overall my 2 minutes phone call was very, very weird and told them maybe we are not a good fit which was almost celebrated at the other end. It was borderline rude. Glad that this was clarified at the beginning and did not end up hiring them and wasting any time with them except for this very, very weird phone call and experience.Re: To the marketing manager Carlos who commented below on my review. Dear Carlos, as you already know this was a phone call with the co-owner of the company. I would love to know how exactly are you going to investigate the owner of the business for his values and conduct and what would be the outcome. If it was not very sad, it would have been very hilarius.

They took out my old front porch with steps and a landing and re leveled, framed put new rebar, and poured everything new with their solid concrete system. . From the start to finish the process was relatively easy and communication was great. The crew that showed up was very efficient and professional as well. It’s really hard to find people who communicate and perform a job with no hiccups in today’s economy, but I found my new go-to guys for future projects. Thank you for a great guys!!

Multiple projects- excellent results! Since March 2020 thru July 2020 we have had Great American Exteriors work on 3 separate projects for us in our home. We needed our garage door fixed and within 1 week of the incident they quoted, got a crew out and it was fixed in less than 1 day (other companies we looked at quoted multiple days, long lead time and twice the cost). The work was excellent - Tony event came back later to adjust the color of the caulk to match the siding perfectly! Fantastic! 2nd project was a remodel of our back stairs (Before and After pictures provided). We are THRILLED at the results! Tony and his son are the best in the business. Fantastic to work with, answered all our questions and even fixed a leak in our vent pipe (3rd project) when we realized there was a problem. We highly recommend Gramex and are looking forward to doing our front porch in the coming years with them!

We have been doing business with Great American since we owned our first home in Elmhurst back in the early 90s. After moving to Glen Ellyn 20 years ago, Great American Exteriors is still our go-to company for exterior projects. They recently replaced our entryway and storm door and completed a porcelain tile installation over our front stoop. We could not be happier with the finished results! The Gramex staff are great as well. Their salesman John is a pleasure to talk to and a great help in deciding what we really wanted. this company basically did not want to meet with me alone for a FREE estimate if my husband is not there. after setting the appointment they decided to cancel for that reason. I asked to speak to the manager, Sam the manger give a useless explanation asked if I can pay $100 consultation fee since the appointment does not include my husband then started to list the prices on the job I was asking for like I needed to make a decision without seeing materials they offer during the consultation. Tried explaining to him that we both work and have unpredictable schedule but no use. Terrible experience, don't waste your time, he mentioned we are not sexiest but sure it sounded like they are. DO NOT USE

Had minor remodel work done. Did not follow up with us about scheduling. After 8 weeks, we had to reach out multiple times to set a date. Expected us to be available with barely any notice. Expect us to remove AC on our own or be charged for it with less than a week notice from their available scheduled date. However, work done was great from the outside. Drywall inside was not “paint ready” as promised. We still had to put a coat of mud and sand before we could paint. Also, cost seemed high for minor work.

They took off our beige vinyl siding and installed Deep Ocean Hardie Board. What a transformation of our home! Our neighbors can't believe it either. We hired GRAMEX to install a dormer on our Elmhurst house and it turned out Great! We worked with GRAMEX owner, Sam, to decide what we wanted and he was very responsive to get his talented team started on the work.
