We called Knights Fencing and Decks to put in a small chainlink gate in Evanston. It cost $700 for a 2' by 5' foot gate, it broke a week later and when we called Knights Fencing and Decks they gave us the run around, refused to refund/discount the cost of the fence and because they used a third party to do the work they would not send the crew back out to make the repair. Poor ethics, poor value and poor customer service. They don't stand behind their work.

Jimmy and his team did an incredible job building a fence for my client. He was attentive and communicative throughout the whole process. I asked for a 4ft modern horizontal fence on the front line of the property, and a 8ft vertical fence on the back line, and they knocked it out of the park. I'll definitely be using them again on future projects!

Knights fence sent a crew (obviously subcontractors)out to install a gate for our fence. The gate broke within a week. They have been completely unresponsive. We finally got a call back after 2+ weeks from another subcontractor who would only come out to “look” at it if we paid $99. DO NOT HIRE. Total scam

DO NOT USE THIS “COMPANY”. They do not employ their own people and will not stand by their work. Our fence broke less than a month after install and we spent weeks trying to get in touch with someone to fix it. Knights Fence just kept telling us they would talk to a manager, but we never heard back from them. We are out a ton of money and have to now pay a reputable company to come out and fix what Knights Fence did. Total sham!!!!!

tl;dr- They never told me a time, when I had to call back to get a time, they gave me a huge time range, wasted my whole afternoon, never showed, allegedly tried to call once, which I have no record of, and gave a questionable explanation for why I didn't get a call or a voicemail.If you want the full experience below********I can't actually speak to the quality of the work because having them come out to do a consultation is impossible. Despite the fact that they even want you to pay for this consultation.The first operator told me that a technician would be in touch, but I was never informed of the time frame, though I was fairly sure I knew the date.The morning of I called to confirm that a technician was coming out, and I spoke to someone who seemed very exasperated by my request for more information about a time frame, even though it was never given to me, and then I was given a four hour time frame and told a technician would contact me sometime within this time frame.The day passed, and even though I spent the entire afternoon including buffer time before and after the window with my phone on ringer, in my pocket, with my smart earbuds in, ready to immediately answer the call, I got nothing.When I called this morning to ask about it, I didn't even have to give my information, they immediately told me that the technician attempted to contact me but didn't receive a response. I have no missed calls, yet I was told, "well you know how phones are." No I don't. I asked why they wouldn't leave a voicemail if they thought I didn't answer. The response I was given was, "well these guys are in trucks they don't have time for voicemail, they have to move on to the next request." Even if they have a policy of one-attempt-and-you're-out for consultations, they should leave a message telling you that you lost your chance, just to know they got through.It's also worth noting that in all of this this visit was something I was supposed to get charged $99 for.

Totally fake company. Address does not exist in Evanston. They send out contractors who you cannot find. I am still looking for the right person to sue.
