Bill came out and was great and easy to speak with. He gave us initial timing and pricing expectations which we said worked for us. I gave it a few weeks and followed up to see when he might expect to send us a quote while not pressuring in any way. Bill was courteous enough to reply they could not meet our expectations and would not be submitting a quote. This was puzzling because again timing and price we agreed on and the work was retiling a bathroom with new counter and glass shower. I asked him what the hang up was to try and work with them. My attempts have gone unanswered despite an email, voicemail and text over the course of two weeks. So I can't rate his work and Bill was a really nice guy but the sales process has left us disappointed and searching for answers.

If anyone is looking to remodel a new kitchen, bath or any project within their home I highly recommend Bills Decorating out of McHenry. We had them demo and remodel our kitchen. We never imagined it would look so amazing. Bill and his team were all outstanding. His crew were dedicated to their unique craft and it certainly showed. Bill was professional and was on top of every detail. Most people would say undergoing a kitchen remodel is a nightmare, but not with this business. I can't say enough about Bills Decorating. I had an urgent structural foundation issue(sagging wall) due to rotted floor joist, and out of three contracters, Bill was the only to respond and provided a quote in 2 days after traveling to my house and digging around a dank, dark, crawlspace. I highly recommend Bill for the quality of work, and ability to clearly communicate. A+ service and high quality work. See my attached image for the wall and new support built in my tiny crawlspace.

We had a wonderful experience with Bill and Tom, as well as their plumber and electrician. Everyone was always on time and very professional. Our master bathroom remodel went from demo (down to the studs), to moving plumbing and electrical all the way to a completed room in exactly 2 weeks. It probably would have taken less time, but it was the week of Christmas so they were off that day.We had to change some plumbing and electrical choices a couple of times because of (unwelcome) surprises behind the walls, but they were very helpful when figuring out alternative fixtures.In the end we were, and are, thrilled with the way it looks! We had a very minor issue with the plumbing afterwards which was fixed within 2 hours of them being notified. They were not the cheapest quote we had, but we are firm believers that you get what you pay for, and in this case it paid off. The contractor/owner didn’t want to address my concerns regarding discrepancy of pricing for some of the work I considered doing myself and expected the signed proposal to be the contract, even though it didn’t include all the usual terms & conditions for doing a remodel. When pressed, he terminated the relationship and returned my deposit instead of addressing these questions. His questionable excuse was he suddenly got a job the day before that would make him unavailable. Ironic, since he had, just hours before terminating the relationship, been ready to start mine. I had ordered my kitchen cabinets already, so it has left me scrambling to find a new contractor. Extremely unprofessional.

These guys are excellent. They've done a lot of work on my condo, everything from flooring to repairs to crown molding to kitchen work to installing bathrooms. It has all been exceptional. They are easy to get along with, communicate well with customers, and seem to know all the angles (and more!) when it comes to getting the job done. I would hire them to do even more work, but there's so little left to do. I like to say they've done more work in my condo than the original builders, and they have definitely done better work.

I paid these guys 4 grand to do replace my subflooring a year ago, I'm finally ready to put flooring down and I can't because they didn't pay attention to weather it was level/flat or not. Very disappointed
