Frank came out to my house to look at the roof because I was worried about hail damage to it. I was shocked that after frank looked at it he said he didn’t find any hail damage. He let me know that I will be kept in the system so if there is another bad storm frank will come back out and inspect the roof again and compare photos. I was very impressed with his honesty and not someone who was just trying to make money.

I live in Kildeer, IL. I met Jeff when he knocked on my door, letting me know he was happy to inspect the roof for hail damage. At first skeptical, I said ok, and sure enough I had considerable damage from a hail storm a couple months before. Jeff was fast to get this covered, and had my roof replacement scheduled to be done within a couple weeks. Our roof is on the larger side, but the team completed our entire roof in 1.5 days and did a phenomenal job.I would certainly recommend Renowned Building Solutions to any friends and neighbors.

My daughter called me in a panic when she saw the floor in her attic was wet after a heavy storm. It was late on a Friday and I live an hour away so I called 3 roofers. Renowned responded in less than an hour and was able to stop by Sat to take a look. He quickly determined the cause (chimney flashing had failed) and provided a ballpark estimate. The work was completed in less than 10 days and quality of the repair was excellent. Renowned fixed the issue before either of the other roofers returned my call. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future should the need arise. Fast, professional, and fair. Steve (owner) is the best!

This review is in regards to a specific contractor driving in this vehicle with the name "Renowned Building Solutions." This vehicle was driving below the speed limit in the left lane on the expressway, BRAKE CHECKING everybody on the road, and gesturing people to stop tailgating. Ofc ppl are going to tailgate...you are driving 65 mph in a friggin Chicago expressway. The guy in this vehicle is negatively representing your company on the road. Man, you should think twice before letting this guy be on the road again because if I ever need roofing in the future, this company is the LAST place I'd call.

A sales rep came to my doorstep based off a previous encounter while he was at another company. Either way another sales rep took over my project of getting a new roof and skylights put in. The job was done quick in a days time however when they put in the skylights, they ruined my dry wall on the interior. When I told them and sent pics they said they would take care of it “on the house” and it’s not normal for what they would do. Okay sounds good. That means some random dude from their company showed up who doesn’t normally do dry wall patches and used pieces of trim to basically hide it. No professional finishing was done (not expected) and I needed to hire someone else to caulk and paint it. They apparently charged my insurance company $580 for this fix which was not worth $580. I did not pay them that portion since it was supposed to be “on the house” and I did pay them $26k+ for the roof, skylights, and 4 plywood boards. They decided to send me a letter stating they are canceling my warranty for not paying the $580 for adding trim to hide drywall cuts around the 4 skylights. This is a revenge type of company. I’m okay not paying them the $580 but for them to void my warranty for labor was not right. I paid 97% of the bill.Be wary before choosing this company. Now I can’t even call to ask them if they touched my attic fans since they aren’t working. All the contractors said I should ask my roofers…I gave them 3 stars for being nice in the beginning since they wanted the business and for the hard working roofers. If they didn’t cancel my warranty for the $580 I had to use to get the interior of the skylights fixed professionally, they would’ve got more stars…

My roof was completed quickly professionally and with quality the company handled all of the insurance information for me and contact with the insurance company which was a nice convenience for me. Rob was unbelievable to work with. The time he took evaluating my roof and explaining the insurance coverage was great. I have never worked with such a kind caring an awesome person in all of the upgrades I’ve had to do with my home..The project manager Ryan was also awesome. He made sure every detail was perfect. He even brought my mail in! (not that you should expect that lol ) but perfect attention to details. I would give these guys a 10 if that was available!. They are a credit to their profession. I have been a general contractor and a union carpenter for 30 years until I contracted terminal cancer we were fortunate enough to meet a company called renowned building solutions the work that they did was of the highest quality they use the best materials and it was apparent that customer satisfaction was more important to them than profit margin because they did not use anything cheap they didn't cut any corners and they even went above and beyond on what the insurance company would do for me so if it's roofing siding gutters painting in my opinion of 30 years experience in the trades this has to be in the top three that I've had the pleasure to work with and I would refer them to anyone they know everything about the insurance company they keep you informed every step of the way and a gentleman named Ryan and a lady named Amy answer every question and we're kind and courteous the entire time because due to my cancer I am kind of hard to understand and yet they took the time and had patience with me and I could go on and on but the bottom line is they are the best contractor's I have ever worked with it

The transformation of our home from outdated roof and siding to modern materials is amazing. Renowned discovered that there was no insulation and no wood between our old siding and attic. They discussed the need for additional materials with us prior to incurring extra expense. Their due diligence will save us a fortune in energy bills in the winters to come. Staff was cordial and did a great job cleaning the site following the completion of the work. We found that many items such as permits and ancillary materials were included in the cost of the estimate where other companies we contacted wanted to charge extra. In the initial inspection, I had three company's inspect my damaged roof, Renowned was the only one who pointed out additional damage in an area further from the obvious damage. Thank you! I received their name from a neighbor whom I trust, he had his entire roof replaced. My damage was not as extensive, as it was only my detached garage. I cannot express how happy and pleased I am with my new roof and gutters. They did a phenomenal job! They did a great job setting up a time, coming out doing the job with no problems. But the clean up was excellent!!! I was worried about having to go around and pick up nails and scrap after they were done, but they did it all! I highly recommend them and the guys are all friendly and professional. I get so many compliments on my new roof. Can't talk highly enough about them.
