In October of 2022 we signed a contract for work to be completed when weather conditions improved the following spring.From April of 2023 until August we sent numerous emails , texts and phone calls inquiring about the projects starting date. Just like one of the other reviews on this site most calls went unanswered or simply never returned. We weren’t calling to pester them and even waited weeks in-between inquiries. We just wanted to plan our summer around the project.Finally this august I went to the office.The secretary shouted back to the project manager who in turn shouted back to her that he was “just now working on getting materials for our project”. I asked to speak with him directly and was allowed to go to his office. He never rose from his desk or offered to shake my hand.After our meeting he scheduled someone to come out.Two weeks later the carpenters that did the work did do an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. Additionally, the painter that was sent did an excellent job.Because of the quality of work that was done I gave them a 3 out of 5. Otherwise due to the indifference to our calls and poor customer service they earned a 1.5 or 2.

In 2021 I had an insurance claim to replace my roof and paint some of the ceilings that got water damage. They did a great job on replacing the roof, and the payment was made for that portion (which happened to be all of the insurance money I received) and to date they haven't setup or been in touch to come back and finish the job. I called twice and told someone would be in touch, this never happened.Service: Roof repair for storm & wind damage

From bids to repair to installation, Dan Hanell Construction will work with the customer to ensure the job gets done correctly and in a timely manner. They also have long experience working with insurance companies so customers can rest assured that claims are processed fairly.I used Dan Hanell Construction to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They responded to my phone call quickly and coordinated directly with my insurance company - including having a representative on site and on the roof with the adjuster. Once work commenced, they performed the job in short order and there was virtually no evidence of them ever having been on my property, which is unusual for a roofing job.I would not hesitate to use Dan Hanell Construction again. They were very professional, timely, and did work we are very proud of. New roof, gutters, soffits, window trim, and front porch all look fantastic. I’ve been using Dan Hanell Construction for all my properties including my own home since 2014 . I’m never disappointed they have always gone above and beyond for every job from small repairs to complete makeovers they absolutely do top quality work. I’m so glad I found such a reliable construction company to work with. They have awesome customer service from start to finish even during the aftermath of all the storms and COVID ! Chad Tuttle did a great job estimating costs to replace our roof, siding, gutters and gutter guards due to the 4/2020 hail storm ANDthe 08/2020 Derecho in Iowa. The insurance company would not cooperate on full replacement until Chad got involved and kept having them come out to our property. Eventually, with his professional persistence, the insurance company paid for full replacement of everything! When his company was ready to start replacement, everything was done in a professional manner. In addition, they always left my yard cleaned up each night and they were very respectful to my plants surrounding our home! Thank you for a job well done!

I've been waiting since the end of July 2020 for new gutters. I was told it would be a 6 week wait which was fine. I still haven't gotten my new gutters and no one will return my calls to give me an answer on when I will get them.

GO ELSEWHERE: Companies lacks internal communication across company employees. After multiple delays not due to materials, but LABOR and timely work of the labor. Multiple calls unanswered, many “we’ll start tomorrow’s”, well folks the end to this story is ANOTHER COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB ON MY ROOF. Go elsewhere. Some employees WERE great to work with but other than that i would not call them if my life depended on it to do any job at my home except for the gutter crew john and david they are 100% awsome at what they do there in and out their clean and friendly and very out going i give those 2 men props i give 2 employees a 10 all day but company overall negitive 5 hope this helps customers make a different decision on home repairs
