We had some wind damage to our fireplace chimney. I called & the owner came over the same day. He inspected our issue and gave us a quote and told me it would take 1-2 days. Rafael had a cancellation & started our work early! His crew worked continuously, together as a team and had my chimney repaired and looking great! Everyone was friendly & respectful to me & my property. They cleaned up everything. They even matched my light colored brick! Rafael improved my chimney cap too! No pressure to do extra work, was honest when I didn’t need a new cap (saving me about $100). Rafael had excellent communication through out! Would highly recommend this company! Would definitely use them again!

This company is terrible and unwilling to take care of their customers and follow through on their promises.We contracted RA Masonry to help with one of our customers who was having a settling foundation issue. The goal was to remove the 2.5 inches of slope in the living room to the NW corner of the home. RA Masonry came in to do the work as a subcontractor and was paid 50% to get the project started and 50% after the work was completed. A few weeks after the work was done, the customer called us and said the issue might actually be worse now. I went back out and took pictures (attached) of the terrible work that was done. I let the owner (Rafael) of RA Masonry know about it, sent him the pictures I took, and he said he would take care of it. I followed up after he said he would do it and he had not done it. He requested I come out to take a look with him so I agreed. On the day we were to meet he mentioned it was too hot and wanted to reschedule. He never did reschedule with me. In the meantime, o continued to get calls from the customer about the terrible work and how he planned to talk to a lawyer about getting this resolved. I asked RA Masonry again if he would take care of it or refund us the money, in full, and he said he will be taking this to court. What a terrible company and customer service! I’m requesting to be paid back in full for the work that was not ever fully completed.

I hired RA Masonry for a large repointing job on an old brick building in downtown Davenport. They responded to me with an estimate within 24 hours which allowed me to meet a very short grant deadline. The work was completed on-time and on-budget. The work quality was professional and the communication was excellent. There were no surprise charges or attempts to up-sale. All issues discovered during the work were repaired without asking for more money. Rafael and his employees were very easy to work with. I will be using them again!

RA Masonry did an outstanding job tuckpointing my 101 year old chimney and installing flashing. The color of the mortar almost matches the color of the rest of the house, and in fact looks much better! Rafael came across as very honest when I first met him, and my experience working with him only reinforced my initial impression. He took $$ offf the estimated price upon completion of the job because the cap didn’t need to be replaced (which was included in his estimate). Rafael was punctual and timely with the estimates and the job. He cleaned up everything perfectly - seems like most people don’t do that these days. I enjoyed my experience with RA Masonry so much that I’ve scheduled a much bigger tuckpointing job with them for spring 2023.

5/23 Hired R. A. Masonry again for tuck pointing and brick replacement on a massive chimney along with a masonry planter rebuild. Their communications, professionalism, work quality, and team members were all top notch. I highly recommend them for any masonry job.4/22 Needed a small job of capping a chimney liner and closing a couple of exhaust openings after HVAC work. Raphael and his partner did an excellent job. Quick to respond and they completed the job very professionally in a timely fashion. Not only do I highly recommend him, I plan to hire him for other masonry work in the near future to repair water damage to the chimney.

Raphael and his crew repaired the stone which had fallen off on my front porch and built two brick pillars on each side of my drive entrance. He also installed the solar lamps on top of each pillar. Don’t use them, they will give you one price on the quote and when it’s time raze then price and not do the agreed price. Find someone else
