After taking bids, and examining prints of what companies had to offer, in the way of steel buildings, we decided to go with Morton Buildings, primarily because we appreciated the system of foundation work that they employed. Our experience, from beginning to end, was completely rewarding, and beyond satisfactory. Blake, our initial contact, was friendly, answered questions openly, and was never out of the loop, even though at one point, he was sequestered with Covid. He always returned our calls promptly, and gave us concise, and open answers. The build crew was professional, and had our building up in twelve working days, with a bit of time off for Christmas, and New Years (yes, they worked in the snow and cold). Any reservations that we might have had about winter building, were put to work. Workers, also, were open to discussion, and kept us up on what was going on, along with the "why's and when's." When the building was up, and done, crews left the area neat and cleared of debris, except for the woodpile that we asked them to leave, for kindling in future campfires. Overall, we would use Morton Buildings again in a heartbeat. Not the best price, but we factored that in when considering the quality of what we were attempting to build. Very, very satisfied with the results, and highly recommend this completely professional company.

This was an easy process from start to finish. Tom Wiegand kept us informed of everything going on and was available for all my questions. We are extremely pleased with our new garage/building. The workers were fast, efficient, and did an outstanding job. We know we have a quality building that will last for many, many years!!

My experience with Morton Buildings has been almost entirely pleasant until one of their sales consultants, Mr. Sidell, started coming around about 2-3 years ago. He was rude right off the bat. He has up-sold his customers on the sizes of their buildings (he must make commission) and has caused issues for these customers. He has also been dishonest and mistreats women. As soon as a man stands up to him, he tucks his tail between his legs. It's a disgrace to the company. He tells people they're liars, incompetent, and raises his voice. If you work with this company (who does good work,) I urge you to avoid this man and also urge you to do your own research on the building process and restrictions. Morton, you need to get rid of this embarrassment working for your company.

Be careful with the paint warranty. I made a peeling paint claim in February of 2019 (my building was turning 20 years old in April of 2019). The office that had built my building had closed down so there was confusion and delay in getting me hooked up with the proper people (they actually have a complete department for paint warranty claims🤔). You guessed it I received a letter in the mail in August claiming my paint peeling claim was processed outside of the 20 year warranty....therefore they couldn’t help me. After contacting them to express my frustration they said if I could summons my phone records from the original call they would look into it further. Really? Are you kidding me? I called on a work phone....it would be nearly impossible to get those records. I’d advise anyone with a Morton building to get up on the roof every spring and look for peeling paint. If I can get at least a few customers proper customer service I will be happy. Tell your friends and neighbors if they have a Morton building keep a close eye on the paint and get your warranty claim in and log all your calls to the factory. Don’t even mess with your local Morton facility.....go right to the factory and get the claim number immediately. The current paint warranty is 30 years.....mine was built in 1999 when evidently they only had a 20 year warranty.🙄

Let me begin by saying that I am not the client, my husband is. The Covid-19 pandemic/quarantine has him locked down in another country. This alone has generated its own amount of distress and add to that the beginning of a new build, but I was wrong.Andrew P, Eric, Shane, Stephen and Kyle represented Morton Buildings, Inc. in a way that set the standard for all the other contractors I come in contact and/or do business with. I tried to show my appreciation every day by preparing lunch for them!!From the beginning to the 'almost' end (we're receiving a large amount of rain in our state and the concrete (final part) has to wait), the site has been set up in the most organized way. There were no tools laying around...ladders 'there' when they should have been 'there'...nails...scraps of metal, etc., could not to be found. (Every day I would video walk for my husband.)One thing that stands out and occurred when the trash container was delivered and it speaks to the professionalism of "the group": the trash company completely destroyed my mail box...and left without acknowledging it!And when I called Andrew P. he acknowledged, immediately reassured me, and in one day I had a new mailbox, 2/4 and all! One day.And here's the thing...again, I am not the client! This truly was a sweat-free experience. And this does not mean that the end will be this way...or that and/or be void of challenges, but the process up until this point leaves me pleased.

I actually worked for this company and their mission statement is a joke. They treat the people who actually work for the company right but if you’re a temp then I 9/10 you’re not going to make company. I made it to work as best as I could. My coworkers were steady talking behind my back for no apparent reason. Maybe because I didn’t socialize with them, but that’s not why I come in to work. I don’t need new friends. The place is toxic if you ask me. The machinery is always breaking down and they blame you when the machine does breakdown. The reviews on here are through the company. But like I said, if you’re a temp then please do not apply for this job.

Before you contract to build a Morton building, be aware that in the fine print they only warranty their roofs for 5 short years! I had them put up a very small, but very expensive hay shed for $30,000 in 2007, and the roof has already failed (I have put up similar sheds and the roofs have been good for 25 years plus.) The most Morton will do is for $900 come and put some caulking on it. The shed has a significant leak on both the East and West exposures. It sits in the wide open and has never been touched by a tree branch or other foreign body. I will never build another Morton building again.

We have been working with morton buildings, on existing morton building for over 2 years now trying to get warranty work and hail damage repaired. They came and did some repairs, replaced the roof and upgraded some door panals, still waiting for warranty work! The crew that came out the Forman was rude workmanship was very poor! If you are looking for a building, save yourself alot of headache and purchase another building!
