SAL was great to work with from start to finish. They were extremely professional and walked us through the entire process of the insurance claim. The new shingles look great and the clean-up was perfect. We would recommend to everyone that needs a new roof or help with an insurance claim. My chimney was leaking and the flashing was a mess. Great communication & follow-up. Will most definitely use them again the next time it storms. The crew worked hard and was very polite & respectful of our property and landscape. I wrote a review a year ago about how this company scammed me and Yes by definition this company will scam you. Someone (I suspect the owner) responded on that review with lies to try to claim that I am a bully for writing the truth. The owner, who owns another company that involves itself with this one Hagel Claims, decided to file a claim with my insurance without my permission knowing that my insurance was not the insurance company that insured the house during the storm that caused hail damage to my property (storm damage occurred in between our inspection and when we bought the house). We were told by employees from Sal, NOT SCOTT, to try filing a claim with the other insurance company but the owner acting under hagel claims did whatever he wanted (whom I never even spoke to when going through this). Now I have a claim on my insurance for no reason and this company left me in the dust. Ignored my calls, texts, emails, Facebook messages. Unprofessional and disrespectful.

Our roof was damaged due to a summer of much hail and a tornado in our town. Sal came and found us at our doorstep. They took care of communication with our insurance and even used a drone to survey our roof on the spot. They completed our roof in one day flat with no nails to be found in the yard. If there were an option to give a negative amount of stars, I would 100% do so. SAL/ Hagel Claims - Hometown Public Adjuster is the absolute worst company to work with from the insurance side as well as a customer. SPECIFICALLY - Scott Lennington. There have been multiple claims filed on this company through the BBB, State Attorneys & Department of Insurance of Illinois.Scott had the audacity to yell and scream to me over the phone on ONE SMALL ISSUE. He literally lost all of his marbles over asking for an updated letter with the correct date. Absolutely disgusting behavior as a representative of that business.Customers on the receiving end of this company should beware of the “fly by the night” companies that poach business in the time of need. Those companies are called “storm chasers” , rule of thumb- if a business has to come knock on your door for business, they are not reputable!!

SAL Construction Services did a great job. Scott, the project manager and his crew of workers were an organized, well-oiled machine. They worked very hard, and completed the project in just 1 day. Scott had explained clearly about all material they were going to install and the amazing warranty and labor guarantee his company was providing. Scott supervised the job in a very professional manner. The install crew was also very experienced and knowledgeable. The job was excellent. The clean up was excellent. It is a well - run company and they definitely deserve a 5-star review. My new roof looks very nice.

I hired SAL Construction to help me with a storm related insurance claim. This was the second roof that I had Scott and his crew install for me. I can’t say enough good things about this company. They kept me well informed of every aspect of the job. I've worked with other roofing companies that were not so hot with communication. Scott’s communication was the best! They were responsive to my emails and calls. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner. We are very happy we chose SAL Construction to replace our roof. Their ability to handle the insurance company was fantastic, but it was the personal touches that made us choose them to do our roof. From the first phone call to Amanda, we liked the way they run their business, and when we met Scott (project manager) we were sold. Communication was excellent and all our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. The crew was prompt and worked extremely hard to get our job done in one day, which was great considering how unpredictable the weather can be at this time of year. All in all, we had a great experience and would highly recommend SAL Construction.

From start to finish, my experience with SAL was more than pleasant. The initial roof inspection, and estimate took about an hour that included a detailed explanation of work to be completed and warranties. My project manager Scott even came to meet our adjuster to ensure everything was correct. Once the contract was signed, we were notified in just over a week for an upcoming installation date. Roof tear down and replacement was all completed in one day, including several areas where plywood sheeting had to be replaced due to prior water damage. The crew did a great job protecting surrounding plants and clean up. The crew even came back the following morning to guarantee a perfect clean up. So impressed and totally satisfied!

Scott from SAL Construction was our project manager. He was professional, knowledgeable and treated me with respect. He explained everything to me, kept me informed and was very friendly, plus he was on site to make sure all of my concerns were communicate to the team.. The roof crew arrived at the specified time and began work immediately. This team put up 2450+ shingles in just one day and completed the hip & ridge shingles in a few hours the following morning. The job was complete with tear-off, new felt paper, drip edges, ice and water barriers, and perfect transitions from one roofline to another. The clean up job was amazing, and none of my shrubs or flowers were damaged. The install crew really cared about their job as well as satisfying me, the customer. Lastly, the roof is gorgeous! I am so glad I chose your company and thank you for the competent crew that completed the job timely. Great work!

I'm only sorry we only have one roof! SAL did an impressive job of putting a new roof on my home. From start to finish, it was a great experience. The project manager was informative, clear, and knowledgeable. The crew arrived precisely when they promised, worked diligently the full day, minus a lunch break, with no hanging around or wasted time, and did exceptional work. Their attention to keeping the mess to a minimum was impressive and the clean-up was better than I could have imagined, going through shrubs, etc - gently - to make sure they had nails, roof pieces, etc. My roof has many angles and a couple dormers and their perfect installation resulted in a flawless finish! What an impressive company! You can count on what they say, and their work is impressive.

** 🚨🚨🚨** very nice to you if it’s an easy case with insurance. Scott knowingly filed a claim for a storm that was not covered by my insurance because we had moved to our new house after that storm occurred. It was discussed to use a different approach but he did it anyways and my claim was obviously denied. After trying to fix the problem on my own, and spending months working with the insurance company, Amanda (SAL’s receptionist) ignored every phone call with messages, emails, Facebook message, text message to personal phone (which she gave me in the beginning if I had any questions). No response for months until I found Scott’s personal cell number. They finally gave me the very least of what I asked for ( five pictures and no estimate) which helped in no way, just so I would leave them alone. I don’t doubt that there are wonderful people that work for this company but Scott and Amanda, aren’t people you want to work with if something goes wrong with insurance in the process. Very sad!**for some reason this company took down my first review from a year ago so I’m putting this up again so someone doesn’t get scammed like me. If your case isn’t a smooth one, forget this company because they only care about the money.

SAL Construction is an absolute pleasure to work with. Over the years they have installed 15+ roofs for us as we own several duplexes in addition to our own home. Scott L. is a great project manager to work with - knowledgeable, through, and his attention to detail is A+. Amanda in the office kept a close eye on our claims & ran all the interference with the insurance company which is no easy task. The last storm that rolled through our community left our roof with lots of missing shingles. We didn’t realize this until the roof started to leak. SAL went out of their way to schedule and ensure my install was completed before the next rain forecast.The install crew was fantastic, on time, professional, and when they left the roof was the envy of my neighbors and my surrounding landscaping was spotless. I highly recommend SAL Construction if you are ever in need of assistance with an insurance claim. We are customers for life!

Well let me tell you about a great company from start to finish. Scott Lennington the owner was hands on from the beginning of the claims process to the very end. He is by far the best in his business. I am a former insurance agent and home adjuster of 8 years. Scott is a true professional, and his crew was outstanding with the craftsmanship and to the end with the cleanup. I had to make a few calls into SAL constructions office to verify appointments and Amanda his team staff leader was awesome. I chose SAL Construction because my son used them and was happy with their work. My project manager Scott was very personable and not pushy. He took his time explaining everything and was patient with our questions. Materials were delivered on time specified. Next day the crew started 7am sharp. Crew worked hard all day long. Scott showed up to report progress throughout the day. The new materials are all CertainTeed certified and have a Lifetime warranty. Roof was done by 5:30pm. Cleanup was done by 6:30. They were done and out of there in just 1 day. Totally satisfied.

What a fantastic company to work with! They handled my insurance claim for me from start to finish. Polite, professional, respectful, and very particular to the little details. When it comes to dealing with home improvements, the one thing I can't stand is high-pressure sales. This company is no pressure sales and was such a pleasure. Communication and willingness to accommodate schedule was amazing. Always on time, respectful, neat, polite workers made it such a pleasure. Scott & Amanda are both terrific people, easy to deal with and even came to my work to deliver the contract because it was more convenient for me. We hired Sal Construction to replace our roof, gutters, and install new gutter covers. We have an old farm house with a complicated roof line. The current roof had 4 layers of shingles on it and the roof is very steep. We tried to get several estimates but every company that looked at it never responded. Scott's crew showed up on time everyday, cleaned up after themselves every night and did a good job on the roof. Overall we were pleased with the results.
