Shoreland did a great job replacing my roof, at a much lower price than the "big guys" in Highland Park quoted me, and they care about their work so much that every year they come out to inspect the roof for damage and blow out the gutters (at no charge), thereby saving me the cost of a gutter cleaning. I highly recommend using Steve Tuchman of Shoreland Roofing. Several years ago Steven’s company built my custom home and I could not be any happier with the outcome even to this day. The quality of Steven’s work and that of all of his employees has kept us from having any significant maintenance issues for the past nine years. All through the building process Steve remained easy to contact, honest, and proactive. His construction team was courteous, kept the property neat and most importantly stayed on the job during all kinds of weather! When it came to the roofing decisions Steve was very knowledgeable and gave me the direction I needed in making choices for styles and types of materials. He has also responded each Spring to my request for evaluating the roof’s condition. This past winter I thought that we had a roof leak as we noticed some staining on our family room ceiling. Steve came out immediately got on the roof and was able to pinpoint that the integrity of the roof was good and we subsequently found that the problem was merely a backup of melting ice into a flashing. He had this fixed on the spot! If you want someone who is honest, clean, timely and cares about your home for the longterm I would suggest you give Shoreland Roofing your business.

Fantastic work! I could not be happier with the service, workmanship, and timeliness of the job. Steve is meticulous, his team is courteous, and everything was done according to plan. Due to scheduling and weather, there was a 48 hour period where I’d be without gutters. As it would happen we saw heavy rain and I discovered water building-up near my basement pit. I texted Steve to let him know. He said he wanted to take a look, IMMEDIATELY drove over, and proceeded to build a temporary (and ingenious) water-channel over my deck to move the run-off away from the trouble-spot. Oh, and all of this was on a SUNDAY! Even though I told him that I’d dropped a submersible pump to keep the water moving out, and that he didn’t need to come by, he insisted. This above-and-beyond service was totally unexpected. I will continue to recommend him and his company because of it. My home is now more energy efficient, my new roof looks great, and the gutter installer that Steve used did a better job than I imagined going into the project. Thank you Steve and Shoreland Roofing. (It is worth noting that Steve is a home builder by trade so I encourage you to pick his brain for ideas & suggestions regarding other parts of your home/garage/yard as well. He has decades of insight and experience, personal contacts to share, and was always thorough when answering my questions—even when I needed multiple explanations.)
