I often get asked working for Granite Ridge if I would be confident in building with them myself, and the answer is ABSOLUTELY! My fiancé and I recently completed our build process with Granite Ridge Builders and we loved every step of the way! Our project manager Nathan did a great job of always keeping us updated with daily messages and plenty of pictures. He built a wonderful home and made sure we were always involved in the process. As we have moved in, Nathan has resolved a few minor issues for us already and is always willing to help out. Throughout the process we worked very closely with Charity Freeman as our new home specialist and she made us feel comfortable in every process we went through. She was always there to help and constantly went out of her way to ensure we had the best building experience possible! I will always recommend GRB to anyone who is looking to build a new home!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Granite Ridge Builders to build my new home. As someone who has limited mobility and ease of access of the property during the process, Granite Ridge made it very easy through Zoom calls, consistent updates using the Daily Logs in the Builder Trend website, and the direct communication from the project manager.Originally, I went to a couple open houses and met with Izzy Rodriguez. Being bound to a walker with a prosthetic leg, I discussed the limitations and accessibility issues I was running into in my current home at the time, and he showed me a few different ways they 'Design for All' with an email containing links to past videos. Izzy was very patient and caring during all the leading discussions I had with him, and I at no time felt pressured or led from a 'salesman' perspective in unnecessary ways. The floor plan rough draft Izzy and JR proposed included various considerations for my accessibility and the meeting was pleasant.This process was followed by the Design showcase and planning with Chelsea Sorge. Chelsea was fantastic in guiding me to what I want as someone who does not have much in a design philosopshy. I showed her a couple example houses and interiors and her display of products and designs was based on that feedback. She was also patient and assisted me getting around the showcase studio.Once the floor plan and design choices were through, I worked with Stacy Bischoff on the final floor plan and layout. There were quite a few questions and adjustments that came up during these back and forth discussions, and Stacy was always helpful and timely in responding. The final floor plan included everything discussed up to that point.Having been comfortable and pleased so far, the build process began. From here, my Property Manager or Project Manager (?) for the build process was Marcus Ihrie. I could not have been any more impressed by the care, consistency, and follow through from Marcus. Having to work through the building process with a client that isn't able to physically be on site could not have been easy, but Marcus went out of his way to communicate consistently through texts, phone calls, and Facetime conversations. The few times I was able to get out to the property, he very quickly ensured the rest of the team was addressing the little details discovered and brought up. This was also done during the fall and winter season, and he was exceptional at managing the timelines work was being done with consideration of weather and safety.Alongside that, I had a surgery as a result of a fall unrelated to the home build that had me on bed rest for a few weeks. Marcus went above and beyond to ensure I wasn't missing anything and went the extra mile to ensure the quality of work was not affected by my absence.By the end of the process, no action item was left unaddressed and I was impressed at the end result. Marcus is a shining example of what is needed from a Project Manager working with clients. I am so thankful to have worked with Marcus throughout the entirety of the process.From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The quality of their work is top-notch, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. I would highly recommend Granite Ridge Builders to anyone looking to build a new home. My home was built by Granite Ridge and it is better than I had envisioned it! Kate was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the process! I was actually moving here from North Carolina and Kate was able to text me updates and help with anything I needed over the phone! My home was move-in ready at the time I was relocating. Which was so great because I was able to have the moving company ship directly to my new home, instead of putting it in storage. They got the timing down perfectly! Not to mention the building manager is always available and responsive when I have questions on how to work any of the features.

We had the absolute best experience with Mike Chiles as our project manager and Jack Tranquill as his sidekick! They both did great with making sure everything was taken care of. We were ALWAYS updated on our Buildertrend app so we could see the updates ASAP. This is important to us because we will have those photos and updates for life! They were both so friendly and answered all of the questions we had. All the way up until our walk through they were making sure everything was touched up. Our designer Kayla Stuart was extremely helpful, not only with designing, but walking us through the entire process and answering all questions throughout. We had a hard time finding the lot we wanted. Kate Yanko, at Granite Ridge not only found us a lot, it was far better than we thought we could get and it was way below budget. The house the team at GR put together for us was exactly what we wanted, it's our dream retirement home. Kate stayed in contact with us the whole time as did Tim, our site manager. Both were fantastic at addressing our concerns and in making sure the team stayed on task. Our home is perfect for us. I do not believe that I possess the ability to express my absolute gratitude towards everyone we worked with at Granite Ridge, but I'm going to give it a try. From the very beginning, Dan McCrady has been with us every step of the way. My wife and I never thought we'd be fortunate enough to build a home and we had absolutely no idea what we were doing. Dan guided us through it all and kept our stress level at a minimum. Even though he had a lot of buyers he was working with, he always made us feel like we were his top priority and was always available to answer our questions. Stacey Bischoff drafted the floor plans for our home and did an amazing job. She was able to accommodate every request that we had even when it seemed impossible. Kate Yanko did a great job listing the house we owned at the time and was able to get it sold quicker than we expected. We sat down with Chelsea Sorge to design all the details of our home. We had no idea the amount of decisions and choices that needed to be made in this process, but she was able to make the whole process easy and gave so many great suggestions. She was able to take the visions we had and make them a reality. Nathan Bidlack was our construction superintendent and I do not believe we could have gotten anyone better. The first day we met him, we knew that he was passionate about building the dream home for us and our children. I have personally never met someone as detail oriented as him. He ensured that the entire building process went smoothly and always communicated every step with us. Overall, we could not be happier with the entire team we worked with at Granite Ridge. We have proudly told anyone we speak to about our great experience with this group of people from Granite Ridge. We can not thank them enough.

My family and I would like to give a BIG shout out to Granite Ridge. Building a new home and trusting someone other than my husband caused a lot of anxiety. Dan McCarty and J.R. Smith for getting the process started for us. They listened to all our concerns, questions, needs and weren’t afraid to give us their honest opinions. They changed things for us to make it just what we wanted. Can’t thank them enough.To all the in between staff at Granite Ridge, from those answering the phones, those meeting us at the door with a smile, to the decorators, bill collections and all those we have forgotten. A year ago, I would have never of imagined I would be living in my dream home. About 11 months ago I started looking into building with Granite Ridge Builders and now all my dreams have become my reality. It has been one of my best dreams come true. From the initial meeting with Dan McCrady to the final home presentation with Nathan Bidlack, the whole process was completely smooth. I become overwhelmed easily, but throughout the process I always felt calm. I definitely worked with the best home specialist and project manager. I never had to worry if my home was going to be perfect. Usually any little thing that I noticed, Nathan was already on it before I could even ask about it. If there were any concerns brought up by me, they were addressed immediately. Again I felt completely comfortable and at peace throughout the beginning stages and all the way through the building stages. I could not be happier with this lovely home I have built for my family. We have only lived in our home for a few days, but it has already been so wonderful. First our house overall is built well. It's dealing with the people that make it not a wonderful experience.Simple things they could do to make the customer experience better. Have a small issue....let's not talk to the customer or fix it to make them happy.Granite Ridge needs to remember that you should make the new home owner feel good about the processes. After all, they are living in your building, with many people asking how the process was.Few things: when going through all the choices....the person helping you pick things should tell you things like the shower you picked doesn't have much shelves or really any...since the shower that we had in our home wasn't shown, no clue there was no place to put things! They have the experience they should guide way more than let's get stuff done. These are huge choices for your client...don't rush. When creating a plan, be sure to understand what their version of rough in means.....otherwise there will be surprises.Yards...they suck this whole we don't use top.soil it sod, because it works better.... As a home owner, tons of water is being used to try to grow the yard... these houses are not cheap, put sod and top soil in the yard. So many yards have mushrooms since the water sits on the top of the yard.Be sure that EVERYTHING is in writing because you never know when your project manager will be pulled out from you....then the new one like we don't have anything on it. Trust no one. Cover yourself.As you read the reviews, they act as if they will help....it's not true. Things will not get done to your standards. They will put the company first. Not their customers. Takes a long time for them to get back to you.The house construction was wonderful. Walls are straight, and dealing with them was good. The contractos that did the drywall were friendly and explained things when we asked questions. We met many of the subcontractor overall they were good and were more helpful than Granite Ridge.Lighting company. Get a company that have updated switches...don't need to use a push buttons anymore, makes the house look old....should order your own and put them in....I am sure they will not give you a credit for it but I think it will make the house look newer not an old home. That includes the can lights they are old looking and at the time of building our home tbey didn't have many other choices.The closet company is very pricy for what you get. Happy it's not wire but overpriced when adding a few shelves.I love my home, but the experience had put a cloud on our home....When you build with them, it might be better if you never built before and don't have a clue about construction since I think it would make it easier to not know when they mess up.I would advise if you build that you do an inspection. Never hurts when you are making a huge investment.

As I was leaving my house for a follow up job interview with Mike at Granite Ridge Builders, I realized that I had a flat tire. I called him and told him of my situation, and he graciously, without an ounce of hesitation, drove to my home and was able to assess my situation. He removed the flat tire, put on the spare, but unfortunately the spare was almost flat as well! He drove to the nearest gas station and put air in the spare tire so that I could at least drive to my mechanic later and have a new tire put on. Needless to say, we still went forward with the interview at my home. Mike saved my day and went above and beyond in helping me. This is just one more reason why I love my Granite Ridge home and the fabulous team members that I've met during my journey with Granite Ridge Builders!

Granite Ridge built our home in Warsaw in 2012. After building 2 houses in Florida since, I can honestly say that the work that Granite Ridge did was impeccable! Very detail oriented, cabinetry was amazingly crafted compared to the work that is done in Florida, every detail was well planned. Having worked for a number of other contractors in the area it was immediately clear to me why Granite Ridge Builders has such a great reputation. Specifically the project managers Chad Waltke, Donnie Dressel, and Dylan Amiot, do high quality work. Being used to working on projects that get delayed by months it was a nice change to work on homes that were being managed well and always on time.

They’re very good during the building process. However after living in a granite ridge home for about a year and a half, not sure we would go with them again. You can definitely tell things are done in the most “cost effective” way for them. We have gaps between our baseboards and the flooring. Weird sharp spots where carpet meets hardwood. Had to have roto rooter come out and clear out pipes 2 months ago for a blockage that led to water seeping out of toilets and drains in the house (we don’t flush wet wipes or drain grease in sink). We also had to have someone come out to fix our cabinet doors about 4-5 months ago. Our yard is terrible. Incredibly uneven and lumpy, and despite multiple fertilizer treatments and watering all spring/summer our yard is growing back very streaky with multiple dead spots. On top of all that the HOA is terrible. Obviously in the contracting business and not HOA business, but you pay ungodly amounts of money for them to do seemingly nothing. Supposedly your fees go towards snow removal. We moved in December of 2022. I think they’ve plowed our road 3x since then. Before building we were also told our fees would go towards building a playground within our addition. We even based the lot we chose off of where we were told that would be located. Recently told that playground is in fact NOT being built. Not to mention they’re impossible to get ahold of and never answer questions regarding HOA. Early on we were pleased, but after living in a GR home/addition we definitely would not recommend. Not worth it after the fact.

I've loved working with Joy through the entire process. She was able to get me everything I ever dreamed of. Isaac and Michael were also wonderful once the house went up. They made sure everything was correct and looked beautiful!
