We had Mike and Austin tear down our wood deck and build with Trex. Their customer service and installers are fantastic. We couldn’t be happier. We have just had them out for a second time to add a gate to the deck. Again, they did not disappoint. The best workmanship and customer service we could hope for. They are the best.

Great deck! Alan worked with us to get us what we wanted and stayed within our budget. The crew also came back to make a change that came about because I wasn't clear on one point.So be clear on items you require, knowing the designs are subject to minor changes by the crews as things come up during construction!

Shoddy workmanship and unprofessional service. Do not use!I had all new gutters installed by Knot Just Decks. Paid in full. It didn't take long to realize that nearly half of them were installed with the fall running the wrong way! In addition there were two leaks. I made many attempts to get them to correct the mistakes by contacting the sales rep., the project manager, and the owner. After 6 months, I finally had to hire a new company to reinstall them properly and professionally.

There were hiccups. If you don't expect that to happen in any construction work you're kidding yourself. The proof of a good company is how they handle the hiccups. Excellent communication with owner. Our new front porch is exactly as I hoped for and pictured. Building crew was efficient and quick. Highly recommend.

Flag pole installation!Thank you to our neighbor for his reference to Knot Just Decks, it is all we needed.Called talked with Julia, she answered all our questions to our satisfaction and sent us all the information by e-mail. She took care of all installation requirements for us, call needed to locate underground wires, etc. Within one week after our decision our Flag Pole and Flag were installed. FANTASTIC!The installation guys were awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, precise on our pole being plumb.They also will stand behind their work.Michael

I don't have enough good things to say. I find out my flagpole is all messed up and wondering how much I'd get charged to fix it. The entire office was friendly and easy to work with. The owner came out and personally fixed our flag pole and helped do it at a price that wouldn't break the bank. They are the epitome of service, class, and good business. On behalf of the Best Western Plus of Fort Wayne, I'm so glad I chose you to help us fly our flags once again. Truly awesome!

Knot Just Decks drove by my office and saw my U.S. flag was in a state of disrepair and offered to replace it. They promptly did so at a good value. The flag lasted two years but the last storm damaged it. My staff contacted them and they replaced it the same week. In today's world, fast and quality work is hard to find. I highly recommend this business for your outdoor needs.

From the very beginning our experience with Knot Just Decks was beyond excellent. The consultant that first met with us helped us understand the options we had and even gave us some design ideas that we really liked. The crew that came out were professional and friendly. They knew what they were doing and within half a day they were all done and left the area completely clean. The quality of their work is beyond what we were expecting. The original install team was above all my expectations. The garage floor the front side walk and front porch all looked great. The flag pole looked amazing. The problem is with warranty response. We have left several messages as well as photos. We do not receive phone calls back for follow up. After finally talking to a very nice young lady in the office I was told that someone would call me (they were very busy). It is ok to be busy with NEW work. Don't forget to take care of the work that was already done. We even recommended our neighbor to have it done and the did. (we did not receive the referral gift card either). I have no problem with having a warranty repair, that is why things come with a warranty stuff happens. I have a problem with not being service after the fact.

We purchased a very expensive Trex deck in the summer/fall of 2021. The deck was installed in December of 2021. The installers trashed our yard and property far beyond what was necessary. Trash and debris, much of it sharp was left all around, near a pool. Additionally, children and animals were at risk of stepping on these sharp items. They also left construction materials in our driveway and it took two phone calls before they came to get it. An open bag of cement was poured all over our driveway and into our grass. It left a concrete stain on our driveway and we had to rake concrete out of our grass in the winter. We filled out an evaluation with Trex about our experience and sent additional information to Trex and Knott Just Decks. We received a call that someone would come out and look at it and get back to us. We never received a call nor do we even know if the person came out. The deck was also built to tight to the pool in such a way that several pool caps were broken off, some of which could not be put back on because of how tight it was. The crew removed our winter cover without consent and when my wife talked to them about it and asked them to help put it back on, she was met with great rudeness and resistance. The installation made it near impossible to get the winter cover on and to remove it. It cut up our hands a good bit.In May of 2022 we made another attempt to reach to company given the damage to the pool caps and the issues with the cover. We also noticed some corners that did not meet and bowing boards. After several attempts via phone and email, we finally did get a response. We can say that this is the worst communication we have ever had with a company ever. An agreement was made to resolve the issues with a timeline that fit both parties. Halfway into that particular week, having heard nothing, we made several more attempts to reach out. We were finally able to make contact and someone came out to look at it with us. An installation person and some sort of other employee came out. The installation staff member blamed the issues on the sales person and told us not to shoot the messenger. The other employee said almost nothing and it was clear that they did not at all care. They insisted the one issue with the corners could not be fixed long term. They promised to address the other issues later that week. They noted that some debris might get in the pool no mater how hard they tried. I told them I understood. I woke up one morning to find that they had come very early in the morning to do the work. They left the deck dirty and trashed with debris from the work all over. Yet again they did not clean up after themselves. For another time we had to spend our time cleaning up a mess that even our teenagers would know to clean up.I contact the company again and asked for the owner to speak with me. I was told they would call me that day in spite of being out of the office. They did not. That evening I contacted one of the men (the one who did not particularly care) about the issue. He told me that he was not going to listen to my lecture and that he believed me just to be a person they could never make happy. Inappropriate and inaccurate, I noted that I was simply trying to get what I paid for (and what is under warranty) and to get some basic decency around cleaning up after themselves. He told me he was not going to listen to me and I then made it clear what I thought of his competence and character on the matter and that I would be pursuing this further.Attempts to reach the company have not worked and while the product is great, the communication, integrity and installation are of great concern. I would not recommend this company at all.Service: Deck installation

Everyone at Knot Just Decks was excellent. Mike came out and finished the job in about 2 hours, and it is exactly what we wanted. They installed a gutter for us this time, but I would happily hire them for deck work, and other services they provide. The price initially seemed high, but after they were done, and the professional correspondence throughout made me feel like my money was well spent.

Very unhappy with their 5 year warranty!We purchased our flagpole and flag last year at the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show. We saw them this year at the home show and let him know that something happened to our pole that caused it to get all scratched up in the second segment.I took it in for repairs a week and a half ago and they said they would let me know in 2 or 3 days to pick it up like I said it was a week and a half ago! I picked it up today and I get a plastic piece replaced and that is all. I still have the flagpole with all the ugly scratches!Blackpool needs replaced I will not be returning to them.
