My husband and I just had our old roof removed and new room put on by Scott and his team. Throughout the entire process everyone was friendly and helpful. We were very impressed by the level of workmanship and the speed at which they were able to replace our roof. The whole removal, replacement, and clean up only took a day. We are very pleased with our new roof! The crew came out, replaced roof, cleaned up in a day. Everyone was very nice. Impressed with how smoothly everything went. Our flowerbeds were protected and all but a very small amount of debris was picked up. It was a windy day & impressive that only a very small amount escaped being picked up. Thursday, 3/28/24Old Fort Roofing just completed placing a new roof on my house--I had damage from previous water/snow.I cannot say enough good things about this company--they are awesome!! The company promised to do what they said they would do and then more--from owner to roofing crew, everyone gave 110 percent. Efficient, organized, professional and worked extremely hard--a 14 hour day.I cannot recommend this company enough--if you have roofing problems/needs, this is the only organization to call in Fort Wayne!!

In October 2021, we purchased a home and found we needed a new roof asap due to leaking. Scott was very prompt with giving us a competitive quote, and thankfully we were able to get the roof installed the exact same week we were to have our baby. We were promised gutters within two weeks of roof install.At the time of scheduling, we were told nets would be used to catch all debris and protect our home- and pads would be laid in the yard to help prevent damage from the portable dumpster rolling around. Unfortunately, neither of these things happened and we found damage to nearly all of our window screens, scrap metal and so many nails all over our yard as well as damage to some landscaping and yard. We called to have someone come look at damage and to sweep the property again- which they sent one person out with a magnet. I know she did her best, but we are STILL finding cuts of aluminum and nails all over…and we have a flat tire on our mower. We have a two young children and two dogs- this is not acceptable!Gutters finally came many weeks later, after having damage to our back patio door from all of the rain.After many attempts to contact Scott, he no call- no showed for us on a Saturday. We said we weren’t paying a dime until things were remedied- they turned the invoice in to financing company anyway- so we were forced to start paying. Scott agreed to replaced our screens- we asked it be done by spring. We were told no problem. Here we are nearly 5 months later without screens. Calls are not returned and there has been no response to the supposed “forwarded messages”.We were so impressed by their quick service to get our business- but the lack of communication now is unbelievable! I HIGHLY recommend Old Fort Roofing. This was the first big house project my husband and I took on and Old Fort Roofing made it incredibly simple, effortless, and efficient.Old Fort Roofing was fantastic from the moment we approached them at the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show in March through to the completion of our roof installation. Shannon was extremely attentive to our questions and needs. We interviewed a couple other roofers, but Old Fort Roofing and Shannon were the clear favorites. All our questions and concerns were addressed and answered. Time and care was taken to ensure we understood what would be happening and why and how. When it came time to remove the old roof and install the new, the crew was efficient, diligent, and very fast. The old roof and gutters were removed and the new roof installed in one day. The gutters were replaced with new within a week. There was one instance where the siding was damaged, but Shannon sent Scott our information and he personally came out to work out a solution with us. The damaged siding was easily replaced and looks absolutely fantastic. Scott also realized that the color we had originally chosen for the roof was not what was installed. My husband and I had commented between the two of us that the new roof looked lighter than we remembered our selection being, but were so pleased with how it looked that we didn't think too much of it. Scott surprised us with confirmation that the wrong color roof had been installed. He was incredibly apologetic and offered a couple of solutions. We were happy to keep the roof as it was installed and Scott gave us a discount due to the mistake. Shannon and Scott were both with us every step of the way and very friendly, very attentive.Overall, Old Fort Roofing ensured our interaction with them and our roof replacement was as effortless as possible. Awful company! Do NOT use them! We had a roof installed in 2014 and ever since then have been having nothing but issues. Every time I reach out to the company my emails my calls nothing is returned unless I threaten legal action. They will then come out throw a little bit of tar down on the roof and say they fixed everything when clearly nothing has been fixed. The damage to the interior of my home is steadily getting worse and I am at a point where I'm going to have to completely remodel my entire house because of their lack of attention to detail. For a company that offers 30-year warranties I find this to be a little ridiculous. At this point I am close to calling a separate roofing company and having them come out and redo my roof and send old fort roofing the bill. Not only was my roof not correctly done but my yard was completely torn up as well. I am still finding nails in my yard and we're not going to talk about the damage to my gutters. Rude and unprofessional to say the least.

Shannon Large and his crew were fantastic. Leading up to figuring out which contractor I was going to use, Shannon was very timely, responsive, tried to work with my insurance even though the chances were slim that they were going to cover it, and he worked with us on the price. I know I asked an exhaustive amount of questions, and he very patiently answered each of them. I also know that when it was narrowed down between Shannon and another contractor, Shannon definitely worked for my business and was very approachable. To be honest, his ability to be forthcoming, timely, and working with us on the price was why we selected him. The day of the job, his crew replaced our roof in a day, and Shannon replaced moldy wood planks above our bathroom ceiling, and ensured all bathrooms were vented appropriately. We are extremely happy with our new Owens Corning roof with a 50 year transferable warranty. Old Fort completed the job on our large house in one day, installed a screen to protect the house and shrubs while the old shingles were removed, and thoroughly cleaned up the mess. They even coordinated things with our insurance company. Installed a new roof on my home when nothing was wrong with it. Developed leak and they came out with a caulk gun for a quick fix. Lasted a bit of time and now it’s is once again leaking. Have made multiple calls and sent an email. No response. Wall and ceiling keeps getting worse. Also was told by another roofer who I had install vents on the home that vents on peak of house weren’t working due to shingles not getting cut back far enough. After storm damage to my roof, I had a company that worked with my insurance and after numerous attempts to try and get my roof covered completely, I kinda gave up. My insurance would only cover half of my roof but there were numerous shingles being replaced all over. I had another company that said they could get it all covered but failed as well. I put it on the back burner for honestly half a year. Shannon happened to stop by one day and asked if he could try and sent an estimate to my insurance. I literally didn’t think he could do any more than anyone else had. Boy was I wrong! He got my roof fully covered and once it was approved, it was done the following week. Old Fort replaced our roof 3 weeks ago, and the house looks awesome now! Scott came out for the initial consultation. For those who wonder why they don't climb the roof to take measurements, it is because they use satellite imagery to take the measurements in order to make an estimate. They use top quality materials, and the job estimate included reroofing the storage shed out back, one thing that the competition would not include in the job. So now my shed matches the house ... excellent!! The job also included taking out the box vents and installing a ridge vent system, something I think looks a little better. Scott was up front with telling us everything to expect when the job gets underway. The crew showed up on time and was ready to go. Scott even called before the job started to make sure we were ready as well (make sure our cars were parked elsewhere for the day, etc.) They didn't mess around; they clearly knew what they were doing. Roof replacement is a messy job! After the job, they picked up all the trash, and took two passes with a roller magnet to get as many loose nails as possible. After the crew left, an inspector went up on the roof to check things out. There were a couple minor issues that they repaired on the spot. The next day, another person came out to do a third sweep with a magnet to see if more nails could be retrieved. Overall, they did a truly excellent job at what I considered to be a fair price. Scott and his crew did an amazing job! Even though they had numerous days of rain they were able to complete the roof in a timely manner. The roof looks incredible! They cleaned everything up at the end of each day. We did a combination of asphalt shingles and metal roofing which caused a bit of effort on Scott’s part to make sure the different crews were here at the right time.The few questions we had during the process Scott answered or responded quickly.We are very happy with Old Fort Roofing!

I highly recommend Old Fort Roofing. We had a very old roof on our cottage and needed it repaired ASAP. I initially contacted them because they are listed on the Owens Corning website as one of their premier installers. Their estimate was just slightly higher than less certified companies, and so we chose them because a roof done incorrectly could be a nightmare.We could not be there when they installed so they sent pictures through out the day so I could see the progress and the amount of decking rot. Roof replacement with Old Fort was easy. They showed up when they said they would, finished when they said they would, and seemed to do a great job. Time will tell but I expect the roof to live up to expectations.They are not the cheapest but they aren't the most expensive either. They put a priority on customer service and I appreciated that. The owner came by the next day to give it a quick once over and I really appreciated that.Another thing to note is that we weren't expecting to have any box roof vents afterward but due to the irregular shape of a small section of my roofline they needed to leave a few to ensure proper ventilation. I liked they did it right but my wife didn't like how much the color on the boxes stood out. It was no problem though because I mentioned it to the owner and he said no problem I'll fix it. He got it changed out to a color that better matched in a couple days.If you want a great roof and great customer service at a fair price you won't go wrong with Old Fort.
