Though we went through one of those 'one day shower install' companies(wish I would have just gone through kusiak, paid waaaaay too much with the other company, but we paid for convenience with having the shower done in one day i guess)Kusiak came in to finish my main bathroom remodeling. They were able to:-remove and install new ceiling(mold growing on existing ceiling) with new, stronger ceiling fan install-Ripped up floor tile(which cement was 3inches thick!) And repaired the dry rotted flooring under-installed floor and splash guard tile-new toilet, vanity and light fixtures install*took 9 daysProject manager: MikeCeiling install: AdrianTile, floor repair, new fixtures install: Mike(not Mike the project manager)I am so happy with the work that was done. The project manager was very accommodating with my midnights work schedule. The workers were amazing as well. We had a 40-year-old kitchen that was very dated and needed major repairs. Kusiak Construction was recommended by a friend, so we called them. They scheduled an appointment with us to give us a quote and then to let us know how long it would take them to demolish and remove the old kitchen and install a new one assuming we ordered new cabinets, countertops, floors, lights and sink well in advance. They sent in their kitchen designer to help us with the cabinets, countertop, flooring and other things we had never thought about before. We decided that we wanted them to do all the work. Kusiak’s estimator told us it would be about a 6-week process, so we signed the contract, and they came in and worked just as they said they would. Bill and Manny did a tremendous job along with all the other people ont their team who came and went during the 6 weeks they worked in our kitchen and in our dining room.I have worked with other construction companies before, but Kusiak really knows their craft. They were all very knowledgeable, friendly and when some things needed to be fashioned so that they would fit correctly, there was nothing they could not do. The next time we start a major remodeling project, we will call Kusiak Construction!

We're in the process of getting estimates for a relatively small project, and since it's busy season, we weren't sure what response we'd get. But the rep from Kusiak, Mike, responded immediately to our request, found a time that worked for us, was on time, and was so helpful, professional, patient, thorough, and downright friendly! He explained all of the options for the repair, offered excellent suggestions for resolving the issue, and even helped our relative with an unrelated repair that had been hard for them to tackle on their own. Even though we're still in process of getting estimates, we are pleased to have met Mike, and feel comfortable in recommending Kusiak, based on Mike's excellent customer service, even in this initial meeting. I've used Kusian twice now. First time was to replace my roof a few years ago and then again just this week to install new entry doors and storm doors. Both times they were on time, professional, friendly, and did really good work! I did get other estimates both times also before deciding on who I'd hire and their pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good contractor.

I had a negative experience with Kusiak Construction. More specifically their assessor Bob that was sent for the initial job inspection. Bob was over an hour late to his appt time. Upon arrival I showed Bob the affected area I needed repaired (flooring & joists). The access to my crawl is on the interior of the house through my floor in our laundry room. Bob refused to access the space claiming he was "too obese" to fit into the opening. This was false as I am similar size, give or take 25 lbs, and can very easily fit into the space. I felt he didn't want to possibly get dirty and was being very lazy. He proceeded to lay on his stomach with his phone camera in the hole attempting to take pictures. The whole ordeal lasted no more than 15 minutes. He did NO measurements nor did he even bother to explain what could've been done to remedy the situation. All in all I felt that my call was an inconvenience for him, therefore he gave extremely low effort to help. I waited until the second day before calling Kusiak about my quote after not hearing from Bob. Bob then informed me that Kusiak will pass on the job due to being overly busy and because they have an aging crew who will not work inside of a crawl space. I feel wronged due to the fact I explained my situation prior to them sending Bob out and was told this is definitely something Kusiak can handle for me. If they were too busy to take work I should've been told that up front rather than miss time at work and have Bob completely waste my time. I would NOT recommend Kusiak Construction in the future if this is how they do business. I'm currently waiting for a call back from ownership to further explain what transpired and hopefully correct this wrong.

I am very pleased and happy with the outstanding work that was performed by Mr. Alvin and Mr Gary. Both these contract workers were very punctual with their start times on both days.They had to do extensive work on the outside of my garage door. I had rotted wood surrounding the top and sides of my garage door Replaced rotted support beam. Remove and replaced dry wall to evaluate the exact damage. Remove four panels of the top garage siding to see if there was water damage from above.I Am very pleased with Mr.Bob who came out as discussed to make his evaluation of the work that needed to be performed. Mr Bob had written a detailed description of the work that was evaluated and repairs needed. The verbal and written explanation was well understand by myself. Their were no surprises at the end.I personally have to say. Mr.Alvin and Mr.Gary are older men that have years of knowledge,expertise and experience. You need people like them to be a excellent mentor and resourceful to the younger generation.They know how to perform the job right and well. Theycompleted the work with such ease.I say. You cannot push older workers out thinking they can't do the job right and well. It was my pleasure to have them to start and complete the job. The clean up the debris was excellent. No nails were found. They used a magnetic gun. I have referred Kusiak Construction to my neighborI will be using them if needed in the future.VERY Happy CUSTOMER. Ms.B.Jones

Outstanding Effort - Not only did Dave and his team provide a first rate roof replacement, but, he was more than willing to work with the Insurance Company to maximize my Claim Benefit(s). This was "not his first rodeo", and, he proved adept at working directly with State Farm to ensure that I received the full extent of my expected reimbursement. I doubt that I could have navigated the "Insurance Minefield" without his assistance. Truly an Honest Broker, I found my interaction with Dave and his team to be professional from start to finish, from the initial proposal through the roof replacement to the release of the recoverable depreciation cost(s). I'm so happy we chose Kusiak Construction to replace our roof! Their prices were competitive. Dave Kusiak was very professional and answered all of our questions. The bid was spelled out and followed exactly. No surprises. The crew was curtious and respectful of all of our landscaping, and we have a lot. They did a complete tear off of the house and garage, repaired a few bad boards, installed a new skylight, replaced the whole roof and did a thorough cleanup all in one day. Then, came back the next morning and did our garden shed. They even had a magnetic roller that they ran through the yard to pick up any metal debris. They did a great job! Dave and crew did a fantastic job at a great price. He fixed the root of the issue so I should have less issues going forward. I didn't have enough roof vents and the ice and water dam wasn't installed where my ski lights are. I have seven skylights so this was not a rookie job.Thanks Dave!

I called to get an estimate on repair of my attic and roof. I stated at that time that the attic must be repaired first as the nature of the damage in the attic is such that repairs would likely damage the roof further in the process, or damage a new roof if done after the roof. I also stated that I needed an assessment that would enable me to file a claim with my insurance as to how much damage is covered by insurance. When their assessor came out, I stated that again, as did my husband. What I got was just a listing on work proposed and cost to replace the roof. No mention of the attic, and the person who came out chose to not even look at our attic. Nothing in the paperwork could be used to file a claim with our insurance, either, but we did get a separate estimate to replace our siding, which was not part of our request and to which we already had said no to the assessor at the time of his visit. I will not be using their services since they ignored our statements.
