Highly recommended!4/18/2024 Update - After a recent heavy rainstorm, we noticed a discoloration in our son's ceiling on the 2nd floor. We called Jim and he came out the next day to look at the discoloration and then got into the attic and on the roof to see if he could find the source for the discoloration. It appears that the leak was coming in near our chimney and Jim checked the flashing around the chimney and found a couple of spots that needed some caulk to seal the flashing around the chimney. He asked us to keep an eye on the spot and to call him if we see any more spotting. Continued great service and support from Jim and his team and I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with A1 Roofing and Jim.11/5/2020 Update - During a recent wind storm, we had a tree branch fall on our garage roof and did not realize that it put a hole in the new roof that Jim and his crew had put on a couple of years back (see picture below that Jim provided). This hole caused water to leak into our garage. We texted Jim about the leak and he responded back immediately. He was out within a couple of days and made the repair to our roof. very competitive pricing- best i found for what i was looking for (dimensional shingles,warranty, good reviews, etc), very fast - James called me the next business day after i left a voice mail telling him id accept the estimate., roof was replaced next day, very flexible- i didnt even need to be there for him to drop by and give me an estimate, he even left shingle samples that made that selection so much easier.. fabulous craftsmanship - we have the best looking roof on the street. cleanup - A1 on the cleanup too. left my yard the way they found it, and they even took time to fish roofing staples out of my pool. everyone should use James and his team at A1.Services: Roof inspection, Roof installation

Juan treated us great, we had some storm damage occur on our old chimney that shifted it off center. He was able to properly tuck-point and secure the chimney and seal it up properly. No more rain or wind issues and even added a cap to our chimney. All for a great price and done in about 2 hours with inspection and labor. 10/10 would call him again.

I do not typically write reviews unless I am thoroughly, thoroughly satisfied or, conversely, unsatisfied in the service or product. I am writing this particular review because I can’t even remember the last time I was this happy with a service. I went online and requested a quote from well over a dozen roofing companies to replace my roof that sustained hail damage while I was overseas (I am active duty Navy). My wife had our three young children and I wouldn’t expect her to try and handle it while I was gone. James sent me an email (along with the other countless companies I contacted) and came out the very next day, on his own accord. I met him outside and he prepared a VERY reasonable quote within 10-15 minutes. James’ initiative to give me what I wanted without the hassle of scheduling an appointment was AWESOME! Coming back from months overseas, I had so much to do and really didn’t want to meet with 15+ contractors. His go-getter mentality and work ethic were exactly what I needed. A-1 was also priced lower than virtually all of the other companies I spoke with.Long story short, I hired his company to do my roof. They tore off and replaced my entire roof in less than 3 days. James kept me in the loop every step of the way and even took care of the insurance aspect of it for me (which I do NOT envy him for because I may write another review on the insurance company that will not be reading like this one). I cannot say enough good things about this company and would recommend it to my own mother. Seriously.A-1, James, and the whole crew are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!Again, unless I feel the company deserves it – for better or worse – I do not write reviews. I received 3 quotes from reputable roofing companies, A-1 was recommended by my neighbor who had shared with me that four other houses in the neighborhood had utilized A-1 Roofing previously. In reviewing the quotes received A-1 was the best price and warranty being offered. James was very efficient in getting me a quote and his crew knocked out the project quickly, picked out a sunny day so no rain concerns, in the end the roof looks great! We didn't even find one nail left behind, that's not common if you've ever had roof work done! I would certainly recommend A-1 Roofing to anyone!

James & his team did such a great job with our roof. He gave us the absolute best quote, by far. Not only that, but his guys showed up at 7AM, and they did a FULL roof replacement on a 3,000+ sq foot home before I even got back from work.James was extremely responsive and had great communication. After working with so many different contractors over the past few months, it was extremely refreshing to get with someone who followed through with deadlines, was so diligent with his work, and provided such great customer service.I would recommend James to anyone with any type of roofing need. I had James Moore at A1Roofing Indiana do my roofing this past spring and he and his crew were awesome! Actually the insurance company only wanted to give me a few hundred dollars to repair a few shingles. Jim told me not to give up and he worked really hard for them to see just how bad my roof was. I told him I would be replacing the roof either way so he would get the sale for a complete roof replacement regardless—even if I had to pay for it all myself. But he insisted that the roof should be paid for by the insurance company because it was wrecked in that Feb windstorm. He fought long and hard for me and I am so thankful that he was able to show the insurance company just how damaged my roof was! I paid my 2140 deductible, but then my insurance company DID indeed pay for the rest after Jim fought to get a second adjuster out to see it! Would HIGHLY recommend Jim Moore from A1RoofingIndiana!

I had a little bit of an emergency in November with my roof. I contacted Mr. Moore from A1 Roofing Indiana and he responded immediately. We met the next day so he could evaluate my roof and pointed out things I should think about when replacing the roof. I researched his suggestions of using Ridge Vents versus Box Vents, the use of Ice and Water Shield to prevent any potential ice damming and his suggestions on upgrading my chimney flashing. All of Mr. Moore's advice proved to be informative and accurate!! I signed a contract for them to get started ASAP. His crew showed up on time and ready to work. They took extra care in protecting my extensive landscaping and finished the job on time and on budget!! After the roofing job was completed, I was shocked at how much time was spent cleaning up around my house to make sure all debris was removed. Mr. Moore and his team did an outstanding job!!!

Read the reviews here before calling for an estimate and I called simply because I saw the owner defending the negative comment. Mr. Moore answered the phone when I called for the estimate and I spoke directly with him about the comments (positive and negative) and I felt his passion for his business. After I read the estimate and contract language, compared it to the others I called...A1 is who I hired. His crew showed up on time, worked through the entire day (windiest day of the year so far) and cleaned up better than I could have imagined. There was debris blown around and into the home sites near me as it was very windy, yet they worked for extra hours cleaning things up in order to make sure the job was "completed". It rained hard for several days following...with no leaks. Everyone was professional, the roof looks fantastic, the crew cleaned up better than I expected, and my roof held up in the heavy rains to follow...therefore they simply did a fantastic job. I highly recommend A1 for your consideration.

Our work was time sensitive due the selling of our home and what our buyers inspector found.Due to all the rain, wind and hail that continues to come in our area and needing the work done by May 5th, 2017. James some how found a window to work us in to fix-replace missing shingles, replace 2 pipe covers, replace damaged shingles where nails were coming up through the shingles, install new end caps on metal ridge vents.We couldn't be more thrilled. A picture tells a thousand words: look at the work A-1 Roofing did. They did an awful job. I was disappointed with the roof, the crew did not speak English, so they were not, and did not, communicate with me and I was not able to communicate with them. They also began hounding me for final payment of 300 for a tarp and 80 for replacing two areas of decking (40 bucks per square).This company does not know what it is doing; was not aware that 7400 bucks had been paid, and wants proof of payment. The check to A-1 roofing was cashed on October 21st.I hired an attorney who sent A-1 a certified letter stating that if they want proof of payment I would like proof of:• Proper permits were filed for this job (No permit filed with the city as per contract said that A-1 would apply for permits)• I need to have proof that A-1 has the proper permit to operate in Marion county.• That A-1 is properly licensed and bonded.• Proof that ridge and cap shingles were installed on ridges of roof (instead of using roofing shingles to create ridge and cap shingles)The crew came with some cheap looking wooden cart that hitches to the back of a truck; very unprofessional looking. They did not pick up/clean up after the first day of work and did a poor job cleaning up when they left. The contract states that a magnet sweep would be done after each day of work. That did not happen. My husband found several nails in the driveway and more around the perimeter of the house.Spoke to Mr. Moore via phone: (Note: I never saw Mr. Moore after the contract was signed) I told Mr. Moore that when the workers left, they left the cart in front of my garage and I could not get my car out of the garage for two days. When they left I was not sure they were coming back, they never told me anything, the job did not look like it was completed, and there was debris surrounding the house. I asked if someone was coming back, when someone would return and was not given a time but I stressed that I needed my car. I expressed my concern and expressed my less than enthusiastic feelings about the roof, said that I had concerns about the chimney area and the roofing surrounding the area: It did not look finished. Mr. Moore sent a guy out – he did not identify himself – my husband and I pointed to the areas of the roof and chimney we had issues with. He said that he would return Monday (October 17th). No one did. However, someone came out to collect payment instead.It took 22 days for work to begin. The contract says 6 to 10 days.I Hired a roofing inspector. The inspector reported the following:• Drip edge not done insufficient shingle overhang• Counter flashing not replaced. Old counter flashing was used on a 25+ year old roof.• This job was done, A-1 roofing did not do a stellar job, but ‘cut corners whenever it was possible to do so’A-1 posits that the roof is done and ‘payment is due at the time of service.’• Did not agree that work was finished. No one ever came out/returned to address our concerns.• Our own visual inspection: portion of roof near chimney looks incomplete/unfinished.These are my concerns:• Because chimney was not properly/poorly done, there will be roof leaks and damages incurred because of those leaks.• Because of improper overhang – drip edges- there will be leaks and damages incurred because of those leaks.• Because of using shingles to create ridge and cap shingles, there will be leaks and damages incurred because of those leaks.

Quoted $500 to fix the leak in my roof which I declined. A friend of a friend in the business later fixed it by caulking some joins on the roof that took him less than 30 minutes. A1 then persisted in calling me to ask if I wanted the work done
