What a poor job. I would not recommend this company. First, they have one person who is supposed to be the expert on fixing everything (backsplashes, flooring, plumbing, lighting, painting, etc). That person would even say he didn't want to do certain work because he was not good at it. Then Bob would say, "oh he is good, he is just saying that to be modest". The work looks awful. I would run the other way. Don't use Bob's Construction!

Bob's Construction was very helpful to me and my husband in a time of need. They were able to come out and repair rotted and exposed siding that was allowing animals into the walls of my home and preventing us from finishing a patio project. Unlike other experiences I've had with contractors, Bob was always polite, responsive, and professional. I appreciate he took the time to explain exactly what we needed and how he was going to repair it. The work was completed in a timely fashion and they cleaned up the site before leaving. I would recommend them and use them again for home repairs.

Had bathroom done-tile work and painted. Price was a little high. Workers had to come back to retouch some of their work in the end. Quality of work was verily acceptable but could have been better. They did not clean up their mess when completed. The owner, Bob, needs to be more professional; very rude, impatient, and needs to learn to communicate. People aren't mind readers. Sometimes their workers don't always come when they suppose to which leaves you guessing. Most of the time they don't call you with notice when they will show up. They took a long time to finish the job. I asked one of the workers after they were finished when I should pay them but he didn't have that information. I didn't know that the job would be finished that day. The owner phoned me twice a few minutes later and demanded payment. It was after 5:00 P.M. The bank was already closed which I couldn't transfer my money from my savings to my checking account so that I can pay them. The owner said I have to pay my workers and I need to be payed now!!! Most anywhere else would give you notice with a courtesy phone call ahead of time to let you know that the work will be finished today and that payment is due today which he did not do. If he would have done this I could have had the money ready for him. He wouldn't allow me to go to the bank the following morning so that I can pay him which he only lives less than a mile from us. We finally found a way to pay him. I couldn't believe the angry violent temper in his voice, the rudeness, and not being patient and once again with no notice to us for payment. I'm no mind reader. I am honest and pay all my bills. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want the headache. I never had this problem with anyone else. I highly recommend that Bob should take a class or course on good customer service, communication, and anger management.Update: The leak came back again. Had to hire another company. Theyreplaced the pan in our shower. This did fix my leak. After several months there is still no leak. Bob ripped us off. After hiring someone else I had to pay for this the 2nd time. If this would have been done right the 1st time I would not have to pay for this again. I give Bob the crook an F-, I give the other company an A+ because they fixed the problem, were honest, and excellent to work with.

BEWARE of Bob’s Construction. Do your research. They have 7 complaints filed against them, with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), in the last 3 years. And 4 of those in the last year. After Bob’s did a poor quality project for us, they failed to respond to repeated attempts to get them to come out and inspect, or correct, their final product. Despite what their website says, they did NOT provide any onsite supervision of the project. After months of Bob’s failing to respond to written communication, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Understand that the BBB is only a complaint agency and not an enforcement agency. It took Bob’s over a month to respond to the BBB. And their response was less than factual. I then filed a complaint with the Indiana State Attorney Generals office, Consumer Protection Division. That office assigned a mediator to the case. Bob’s responded to the AG ‘s office that they would respond to the mediator within 2 weeks. Bob’s never provided another response to the AG’s office. The mediator suggested that I file a complaint with the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services for Marion county, which oversees Contractors licenses. I filed a complaint with them, and they also assigned an investigator, who was in the process of reviewing it with their counsel to present to their board for review. However, that agency realized they did not have jurisdiction over any work done in the city of Lawrence, so they could not proceed any further. But they did recommend that I file a complaint directly with the city of Lawrence. Instead, I chose to file a small claims court action against Bob’s. Feel free to go to mycase.in.gov, case number 49K03-2204-SC-001095 to review. Bob’s failed to appear at the court hearing. Although they did file a motion for a continuance the day before the scheduled hearing. Despite having over 30 days from case opening to actual court appearance. The Judge denied Bob’s motion for a continuance, and granted a Default Judgement favorable to me, and against Bob’s Construction. I found it amusing and comical how quickly Bob’s then filed a motion to vacate the default judgment. They filed that within 2 days of being notified of the Default judgement against them. As of this date, no court date has been set for Bob’s motion. Bob’s Construction will use smoke and mirrors to take your money and run, and then try to avoid customers. Since the court has now awarded me the default judgement, I look forward to my next options, which may include: filing a motion to garnish their bank account, as well as a few other options still available to me. If you have been a customer of Bob’s Construction, and in need of remediation or restitution, don’t give up. Bob’s Construction is the WORST contractor I have ever dealt with. Be advised and do your research. Take your money and run, before Bob’s takes your money and runs.

This company did a bathroom remodel for me. The finishing drywall work was poorly done a second time and I don’t want to give them a third chance. The owner, while in my home looking at the mistakes, was very disrespectful. He kept saying “well don’t you make mistakes at your job?”. I had to ask him to leave my home and then even just leave the property. Before he left he said he didn’t want to provide me the 30 days for final payment that HIS contract literally allows for. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Bob’s Construction and Bob Clements (the owner). I wanted to add that we had to have a plumber come out and fix the work that was done by Bob’s Construction. The vanity leaked because a piece of the drain assembly was cracked. We also had no cold water going to our shower. So the plumber had to fix that as well. And 7 months later, the floor creaks terribly and the tub creaks when you stand and move around in it.

Everything from start to finish went perfectly with this company. Bob the owner initially came out because I submitted a request with another company who dropped the ball and never came out to do the roof inspection. He walked me through every detail and answered all of my questions that I had -there were many. He also worked with my insurance to make sure all the storm damaged items were replaced. He has now helped me with several other projects around my home. Bob is very knowledgeable, and affordable. I highly recommend this company and have already higher him again.

Jury still out on the company. I hired this company to replace 3 porch pillars. They came out and performed it on emergency basis and I appreciated that. Problem is...the pillars are too short and I cannot fully open my screen door completely. Gave Bob a call and sent him a video of the flaw. He said they would get by to take care of this. Well...it's been almost 3 weeks since I last spoke with him and I have not heard from anyone. Hmmm? I don't have a fancy house in an upscale neighborhood, but it's mine and all I could afford. I would appreciate some respect as a paying customer. For Christ sake guys, Make This Right!!! That's all I ask!

Bob's Construction did a great job installing our interior door but they did a terrible job installing our exterior door. It took them 3 days to install. They installed the door handles upside down and the door is not secure. You can push on the door and it comes open. I have called them to try to get them to come back out but they have not called me back. This is not good business practice!

Kyle and the company ARE QUICK to raise their hand for the job to get the PAYCHECK!They installed a new roof and 7 months later I had water damage. They have been SLOW to respond and act like “THEY” are the victim!Still haven’t resolved the issue!All they do is BLAME covid and make excuses!!!Service: Roof installation

Massively overpriced operation. I was charged $875 for about an hour for nailing down and caulking some loose flashing. My fault for not checking reviews on this outfit and getting multiple quotes before hiring him. His competitors have excellent reviews and I would have used one of them if I had done my research. I cant speak to the quality of the work since this was a house sale and there was no reinspection. Lesson learned.
