Ed and his crew are fantastic! Ed replaced 5 (yes you read that right!) of my roofs and gutters after a hail storm in late June. He has a ton of experienceand is very detail oriented! He worked with my insurance and was able to convince them to cut me a check to start repairs on the spot. His company uses higher quality GAF shingles than other companies for the included price, and he was able to manage all of the work while my wife and I were on vacation! He sent me detailed pictures of all progress and personally cleaned up all nails with a magnet roller around my house and barns. His interior/general contractor Shauna is also amazing! She repaired a leak in my ceiling, replaced my custom tile shower pan, and installed a new hot and cold hose spigot in my garage for washing cars! Ed also replaced rotten wood siding, trimmed trees, and power washed my driveway! First, I would like to say, EDWIN HOLMES, & all his employees are very hard workers. I am very pleased with all the work done on my home, it was done in timely manner, and the workmanship was excellent. Six years ago I had Amos roofing do my house and it did not look as nice as it does now. Also, the reason why I hired EDWIN HOLMES is because , I had a roof leak, and Amos roofing would not respond after many calls, and then, when they finally did, they said it would be six weeks or more before they can come out and take a look. When I called EDWIN HOLMES, the owner of HOLMES, construction & roofing, Edwin Holmes the owner himself, came out within 3 hours, & fixed the leak! That service‼️When I found out, I had hail damage I called EDWIN HOLMES immediately! Now I am so happy with my new roof and gutters. The cleanup was impeccable ! I had my roof and gutters replaced and my cedar siding re-painted. Edwin Holmes Construction did an amazing job and his recommendations for colors look phenomenal! My house looks better than when I bought it! Ed was very responsive and he really went above and beyond. He and his crew were all polite and professional, completed the job in a timely manner, and thoroughly cleaned up all debris that goes along with having a roof replaced. He ended up doing a lot of other random outdoor tasks for me as well, including fixing my deck stairs, trimming trees, installing new exterior light fixtures, hauling some junk away, making a new mail box post, fixing my broken gate, removing bushes and landscaping. They really can do it all!! I could not be happier that I chose Edwin Holmes to complete the work for me. I highly recommend him!

Edwin Holmes Construction completed major chimney repairs and replaced my entire roof including decking over a four day period in mid Sept 2023. I was referred to Ed Holmes by a prior work associate who had work performed by Ed several years age. I had no other knowledge or association with Ed Holmes prior.I could not be more fortunate in my choice of contractor. I have seldom seen such attention to detail as shown by Ed and his crew for both projects. Work begun on the dates scheduled. Materials were on hand and all advanced preparations made. Chimney work exceeded my expectations due to the care and workmanship shown. Replacing the chimney cap, repairing all damaged brick and mortar joints and applying two coats of sealant was 1/2 the cost of the highest bid and $1,500 less than the second highest. I don't think that I would have received anywhere the caliber of work from the other bidders.Roofing work began at 6:30 AM and continued to 8:00 PM the first day by Ed and his crew on Sept 18th and continued to 8:00 PM. I have never seen a crew work harder. Their coordination was evident. Ed worked along side the crew the entire time. It was amazing the amount of extra repairs Ed provided. If he saw something that needed fixing, roof related or not, he took care of it including laying a partial floor in my attic, adding new bracing to my ridge line, repairing and rehanging two soffits and tightening all my gutters just to mention a few. Day 2 began at 7:30 Am and continued to 2:30 PM. Ed worked with his crew both days and labored as hard as any of his workman. Day 3, Ed returned for another 2 hours by himself for final inspection and completion of 4 addition items. Ed is a fanatic for cleanup. I can't describe the amount of time and effort Ed took to assure cleanup and carry away of all debris including my old TV antenna which Ed took down from my house.I received maximum value for the monies paid, quality materials, attention to detail, superior workmanship, and work performed far outside of the scope of work provided for in the contract. I though afterward that I couldn't think of anything else to ask Ed to do that he had not already done including bleaching out a water stain on our bedroom ceiling so we would not have to repaint.Edwin Holmes Construction has my unqualified recommendation and I can attest that any homeowner who contracts with Ed will be amazed at the completeness and quality of the work that Ed performs. Ed Holmes is my go to company for any home repair project.

I contacted Edwin after we received a card in the mail for a free inspection and he was out a few days later. He did a thorough inspection on our house and prepared an estimate that same day. On the day the adjuster came out, Edwin came as well. This was helpful as he was able to show and discuss the damages he saw with the adjuster. Edwin and his crew were out the next day to repair the roof. They were quick workers and Edwin came back after the job to ensure that everything was cleaned up. He even did addition cleanup in our yard and trimmed our trees. Our yard looked better after he came than it did before. Twice now I have done business with Ed. First time he did a full tear off and re-decked my house with a new roof. We had an issue with a couple shingles and he came right out and replaced them. Recently a tree limb came through and did some damage. He cam right out that day and not only did the repair, but cut up and hauled off the limb! Thank you Ed!

First I would like to say I met this wonderful man by chance. Since we met Edwin has replaced one of the roofs on 1 of my houses. After I seen that this man was unlike other contractors I have encountered in my very experience life . The new roof that he installed was a fantastic , he bettered the cosmetic appearance as well as installing a beautiful quality product. Since , I have had Edwin install gutters , remodel one of my bathrooms completely. I am very happy with all the work from the beginning to the end. After thawing out from the sub zero freeze before Christmas, we noticed some water damage in the corner of our walls/ceiling in our first floor bedroom. Called Holmes Construction & Roofing to come inspect the roof thinking we had a flashing issue. Turned out we had some wood rot holes in our trim. A few hundred bucks later they sealed the holes same day. We just had some rain yesterday, and of course we were on pins and needles seeing if any more water came through. We contacted Edwin Holmes Construction Solutions via a card he sent through the mail. We were interested in having gutter covers installed. We contacted him on Friday and he did the work today, on Monday. Quote estimate was reasonable compared to another quote we received. But Ed went over and above the gutter cover job. He did a roof inspection that pointed out several small roof repairs that he took care of for a minimal fee. He is very meticulous about his work and asks other professionals their opinion when it is necessary to do the job correctly. Great guy who does great work! We highly recommend him! They were able to start the same week as the quote. If you are looking for a new roof, you couldn't do any better. Edwin Holmes Roofing installed the original roof on my house when built in 2002. After a storm in April of 2020 I called Edwin Holmes to inspect. Edwin worked diligently with my insurance company to ensure that they covered their responsibility. He came 3 times as my insurance company dropped the ball twice with claims adjusters. Without Edwin's persistence, I don't believe they would have covered what they did! The work itself took two days and I can't say enough about their performance. The roof looks great, the new gutters were installed on day 2 and everything is perfect. The crew was meticulous in their clean up at the end of day 1 and at the end of the job. Edwin, himself came and re-checked my yard for nails and debris. He looked up and saw a piece of our siding was not right, got his ladder and went up and fixed it--it had nothing to do with what they had done. I wish all contractors were as good to work with as they were. I called Holmes roofing to fix an issue with water leaking from the soffit from my 2nd story. The owner came out and did the work himself. After the repair it rained very heavily the next few days and no leaks!! Very professional and reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend Holmes roofing!

Edwin Holmes was unbelievable to work with. His work and work ethics were off the chart. Both the shingles and the decking on our roof needed replacing, a very labor intensive job. Edwin who is the owner,was on the job everyday. He explained everything that needed to be done including the relocation of the vents. Whenever he found something that wasn’t correct, he repaired or replaced it at no additional cost. Every night when they were finished they cleaned up any trash and debris they found in the yard. The night the tornado hit Mooresville, and we also experienced high winds, within a few minutes after the storm passed through, Edwin and one of his workers were up on our roof checking to make sure all the protective measures they had taken were still in place and there were no leaks. I am not a roofer, but have been involved in construction for over 20 years and Edwin Holmes Roofing exceeded all my expectations, both in their workmanship and the quality of the materials they used.

Awesome job on my house. I have used him with multiple houses I have owned over the years. The first house he did for me he got me a free upgrade on shingles with the builder. Another house he roofed for me and did an awesome job. Quality is awesome and when he is done you can not tell he was even there. No debris or trash left on the ground. I had a shingle blow off once and called him and he was there that day to fix it. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new roof.

Ed Holmes put a new roof on my house in 2005. I didn't have any problems. He did a good job. I'm having him back to do gutters and a new roof due to storm damage. Can't wait to see it all done.
