Last March I had a tree hit my house from a heavy storm...I reached out to Michaelis to get it all fixed. Boy was it a lot to do and included way more than I would ever thought. We had a lot of work done by Michaelis. Mold abatement, water sealing, sump pump, sistering termite damaged boards, sealing cracks, and securing a foundation bulge. Sean came out to give us an estimate and never stopped being a friend to me. He answered all my questions and would even show up if I didn't understand. The first day they started we met Daniel, Eric D, Jesus, and Lucas. Daniel and Eric took the time to walk us through everything. Everyone was beyond polite, always saying "yes ma'am " and "yes sir". I definitely felt respected. They taped down a walkway so they wouldn't track dust from the basement to my living space. They also protect my furnace, water heater, etc. Next we met, Eric B, Adarian, and Jason. Then finally, Corey, Chris, and Jacob. Each of the crews had their own specialized tasks, but every one of them spoke to me with respect and took the time to answer my endless questions. Every evening, at quitting time, the would sweep my floors. They fixed everything to our satisfaction and we are pleased with their professionalism. Thank you Michaelis! We will recommend your services to everyone.4/24/24 update: On 4/11/24, Mooresville got hit with lots of rain and water was pouring into my basement. Therefore, I called Michaelis. They sent Daniel Surface to rescue me. Daniel is an amazing man. He worked until past midnight to make sure all the water was pumped out of my basement and that it was safe for me to go to sleep. He checked on me early the next morning, making sure the water was still pumping out. I will always recommend Daniel from Michaelis. He is strong, kind, generous, and an extremely hard worker. I have only good feedback for the Michaelis experience. After noticing moisture and mold in the basement, they got us scheduled to have Sean Stephens come out and take a look within a week of first reaching out through their online form. Sean was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took his time explaining his recommendations and how to proceed with installing a French drain and a sump pump to address the water and foundational health of our house. His explanation was informative and easy to understand. It felt like taking advice from a neighbor who’d had a similar problem: he was ready help us make the right choices for our needs and budget.Randy Weather was our project manager and provided us a great team with Henry and his crew. Everyone was flexible and worked so hard to finish quickly without sacrificing quality. Henry and the crew were clearly experts in what they do waking us through what had been done at the end of each of the two work days. They were so friendly and helpful really going above and beyond! The whole process was finished in only 6 days, and we really appreciate Jesse Lockerbie for setting up the quick turnaround for us!Not that we would wish any problems on our friends or ourselves, but if we or they have any issues that Michaelis covers, they will be the only company we call for solutions!

My experience with Michaelis was nothing but a smooth and great experience. From the estimate to the financing part and the actual job being performed/completed. Throughout the project, i was getting updated pictures/information and it was greatly appreciated and gives a sense of perspective on what they’re doing to insure everything is done properly. Thank you to the rest of the team that did the work and made sure that our carpet in our home wasn’t damaged or got dirty. It shows that you guys care for the clients home, not many companies do this. Our work hasn't started yet, but wanted to write a review strictly for the service we've received. We unfortunately continued to find more and more issues with our basement as we took found water, took drywall out, etc. Wanted to shout out to Rob because he's been to our house I think 3 times now and has never seemed annoyed with all of our questions and changing of work that has needed done. (I think we've changed the scope of our work thrice at this point)The project managers Jesse and Randy had come out the latest time to make sure what we wanted done could be done with our walls falling apart as they are. They were all extremely professional and helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions and then come up with a plan for our budget.The last thing I wanted to comment on is one for the girls. As a female, I don't even pay attention anymore to it, but when we have service people (typically men) come to our house for anything really and my fiance is here, I usually don't get a handshake. My fiance will and I don't even think anything of it anymore. Each one of these men did not leave our front door until they had shaken my hand right after they shook my fiance's. I know it's a little thing, but I think it also says a lot about their character and the type of people who work for Michaelis. Can't thank them enough so far and can't wait for our work to start!

We had a fire at 4AM. After the fire department left, our Insurance & michaelis arrived within hours. We met Brian who started the process in the right direction. We then met CodyI whom, pick up the reigns and followed through with us till we were back in our home. The whole crew that came out went above him beyond to help us transition out of our home, to a temporary home , and then back into our home again. All within about 3 months. I was having foundation problems and with the crawl space. They had to come out twice because they forgot something, which they admitted was their fault. I've had bad contractors over the years. This company is incredible! First and very important to me, every worker was very professional and courteous. Very informative throughout the process. I felt like the quality of work was incredible. Very happy with the service done on our home. Crew was clean cut polite. I felt very safe with this crew around. Our foundation on Our home was sagging very badly. Indiana foundation worked on it 4 years ago at 14000 they made mistakes that costed us 8,700 to fix.The warranty covers their butt on final paragraph so they really isn’t any coverage or protection for home owners so beware they are a scam !The other company tried to get me to pay 25000 for the same work and wouldn’t that included 12 jacks with footer poured and concrete pads. The other company other company is so smart at covering themselves and not the homeowners.Service: Repair flooring

On 8/29/2023 Sean Stephens came to our home to assess possible issues with our kitchen floor which is above a crawl space. The floor is not level and has a noticeable downward slope with several cracked ceramic floor tiles. We had several other contractors tell us different things. A few other contractors told us we had to tear down to the original subfloor, while one told us we had to go as far as removing the original subfloor, examining the joists from above, and rebuild from there. I followed Sean into the crawl space for his thorough inspection. He clearly explained several key points to me and answered all of my follow-up questions in great, understandable detail. ZERO high pressure sales whatsoever. In fact, he explained that the issues we had were so minor they were outside the scope of what Michaelis does, and he clearly explained our options. Sean performed a humidity read in the crawlspace and said we could benefit from installing an industrial grade dehumidifier to knock down our reading from 5-10 percentage points, but he also pointed out several other things I could do on my own to help get readings in line. Overall, I am highly satisfied with Sean and how he represented Michaelis. I would definitely call them for any future restoration needs.

We had a drain installed around the circumference of our basement. It had always been wet after a hard rain and we wanted to try to make it a livable family space. After several estimates from other companies, we chose Michaelis for the job. They were very skilled and hard-working laborers. They completed the work in the stated time and did a thorough job of clean up. Their work team was very friendly and completely trustworthy. Upon completion of the project, we have now finished the basement into a family room with play space for the grandkids as well as a home theater system. We feel completely safe doing so, as we have not had a drop of water appear after their drain was installed.
