We moved into a house in northwest Indiana a few months ago. 80% of the exterior was vinyl siding that was original from when the home was built over 20 years ago, and it was showing signs of wear.I wanted to upgrade to something that was more durable, and something that provided better insulation than vinyl. After doing a bit of research, I decided Hardie was the way to go.I reached out to 5 different companies in the area to request a quote for Hardie. 2 companies had prices that were too high, 2 companies immediately tried to talk me into LP SmartSide (and ultimately never offered me a quote) after I had explicitly stated that I wanted Hardie.One of the companies that I called was J&B West Roofing. When I met with their estimator, Dean, he was very enthusiastic about Hardie. He spent a lot of time going over the project with me. He had a quote to me at 5:30 AM the next day.Their price was excellent. Dean got back to me fast whenever I had follow up questions, and he even put me in touch with the local James Hardie rep to go over any other questions I had about the product or about design options.Ultimately, I decided to go with J&B West for the project, and I am very glad that I did.One of the things that impressed me was how punctual they were. The product arrived exactly when they said it would, and they started work each day when they said they would.Moreover, Dean said the project would take 3 days to complete. I was surprised to hear this, because it was a big project; I was expecting it to take longer. But they finished in exactly 3 days like he said.When I had concerns or questions throughout the work, the production managers and Hardie reps showed up to ensure everything was being done correctly. They also took the time to explain to me why something was being done a certain way.The end result in terms of appearance and in terms of following Hardie best practices was excellent. You can see in the first picture, they correctly left a quarter inch gap above the flashing around the hose bib to allow moisture to escape. This is consistent with Hardie best practices. You can see they have also correctly left the same clearance around the trim above the door (image 2), and around the trim above the window (image 3).Another thing that impressed me was the fact that they made sure everything was touched up at the end of the final day. The fourth image shows a small area of the siding hidden behind a tree in my yard; it’s not visible at all. But they still took the time to ensure it looked clean and new.Overall, J&B West did everything right. Their professionalism and friendliness are second to none, and they know a lot about James Hardie siding. If you’re looking for Hardie or any other roofing or siding work, these are your guys.

The entire crew was amazing, showed up on time worked all day and I am so impressed with how professional they entire group was and how efficient they were. left my yard cleaned up like no one was even there. We have used J & B West 3 times now. They have completed siding, roofs, soffit, fascia gutters and built a front porch. My roof need med a lot of work as it was not venting properly. Joe, (the roofing foreman) made sure to not just re-shingle the roof but also to take care to correct all issues. Everyone we have talked to starting with Kyle and Eric, has been professional and communicates every step of the way. Every crew member has always been very courteous. J & B West is a top quality company. The do what they say they will do, they answer the phone, return calls promptly. Just like a respectable business should. I would not trust anyone else, especially nowadays.

Just got my new roof put on yesterday and was very impressed from start to finish. My Rep Alex was easy to work with and answered questions. In addition, Jered and his crew were on time and very professional on the installation day. Clean up was great and they even did nice specialty work with a problem corner I had previously. Eric our Project Manager was very easy to communicate with the entire time of our project. He was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the work that needed to be done. The entire team did excellent work despite some difficult issues that came up in our home’s remodel. J&B West Roofing did an exceptional job on removing and installing our new roof. Jared's crew arrived on time and completed the job by mid afternoon. They made every effort to keep the debris from blowing into neighboring yards. More importantly they knew we had two dogs, so the fenced back yard had to be spotless to ensure our dogs did not ingest debris and especially nails...and it was. If you want it done right, request one of Jared's crews.

I had some damage to my roof and got a few quotes. I went with J&B based on reviews and got a quote from Patrick W. He was instrumental in helping me understand the workings of the whole process. Which made it an easy decision for me. With winter setting in we had to wait until spring. John C. and his crew lead by ... I think his name was Rafael did an awesome job. The roof looks great! The clean up was great! Very happy with the service!!!

J & B did an absolutely phenomenal job start to finish. Worked with my schedule to come view the job, answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was bothering them. The crews showed up early, covered anywhere they'd be working, so they didn't leave a mess, finished early, and cleaned up afterwards. Everyone was friendly, professional, the price was fair, but importantly, the work looks great. I waited a few months to post my review so see how my new roof and gutters handled some heavy rains: no leaks and everything flows well. We had a great experience with J and B West for roofing my In-Law's home in Plymouth this week. We have used J and B West before and always had great service. Brad did a great job working with me on all my roofs for estimating and scheduling and signing the contracts. Jared did a great job with on site the day of the shingling. The crew that were shingling did not waste any time finishing the job. Quality work. Even dealing with their office a few time, they were really friendly and answered any questions. The follow up call to make sure I was happy with the job was awesome. I will use them again on my next roofing job.

Great company. The handle everything with insurance. Got insurance to replace whole roof. Jared and his crew was great,on time. Cleaned up anything that was on ground and didn't slack at all making sure no nails were left behind! Definitely will hire them again.

There were a few hiccups along the way that I could tell were not habitual but rather happened by chance. I still feel throughout the process the company remained professional, completed the work in a timely process, and fixed the poor construction done from the former installer. They even compromised with the budget when they were in no position to have to. There pricing does come with a premium but there is a good reason why when comparing to the quality of some of the smaller contractors who just don't have the same kind of trained crew, strength in numbers, matched with a corporate office to keep everything running as smoothly as possible. Thank you for your assistance on such an important piece of the home, J&B!

Start to finish the process has been pretty smooth. We got our roof and gutters done. The price was the best we got. We got 3 estimates done and JB West was a significant price difference from the others, plus they got straight to the point when doing the estimate and didn't do a sales pitch before giving the price, that made me trust them more. Our roof is night and day difference. We would definitely refer JB West.

After being told I needed a new roof due to a minor leak by another company's 'salesperson', I called J&B West for a second opinion. Tim came out and showed me why I didn't need a new roof and found an area of concern that was causing my leak. After the work was completed, I received detailed pictures of my project before, during and after. The project also came in at Tim's original estimate. I would highly recommend this company.
