When I look for someone to hire for a service, I look for someone who cares about their product/results. I'm not interested in mediocre work or service. It isn't always easy, but when you find the right person for the job, you're in luck. LJS is the right company for your roofing needs, and John is the right person to work with. He cares about what his name is put on. The crew he sent was not only excellent with the work, they were efficient, considerate, and accommodating (they got their trailer nestled up just right the first morning only to learn that I had forgotten to move my cars out the night before...no complaints, just courteous accommodation!!).On top of that, John was on site multiple times to be sure the work was getting done right. Pictures of a roof aren't easy to showcase something like this, but I hope you can see from mine that the job was done beautifully.Lastly, I had two quotes for the work needing done, and LJS was the less expensive of the two. With the things I mentioned above, that wouldn't matter much to me if they were higher. I don't feel like you can go wrong hiring them. I am hoping to get them in next year for an addition to my house. LJS Contractors is the best home improvement company I have worked with in the past 15 years. From the initial assessment to the final check-through, John knew exactly how to evaluate the job, what it would entail, and anticipate that there may be “surprises” along the way. He prepared my estimate very quickly, and once I signed the estimate, his crew was at my house within a few days (after finishing a couple of jobs ahead of mine). The crew of six, led by Juan, was highly qualified, knowledgeable, and efficient, and arrived on time and prepared to work. As with most construction or remodel projects, there were a couple of unforeseeable issues. John knew what it would take to remedy these properly, and the construction crew was able to resolve the issues and keep moving forward on the job. John spent the day driving between the jobs where his crews were working, and was at my home several times throughout the entire process. Kris, who runs the LJS Contractors office, kept in contact with me from my initial call to the office until the job was complete, letting me know who would be at my house and when they would be there, which was very helpful to me. The overall service, quality control, communication, dedication, honesty, craftsmanship, and friendliness that define both LJS Contractors and John are rarely seen when doing business with a contractor, and very much appreciated.

John and his crew replaced all the shingles / waterproofing, replaced damaged decking, took out an attic vent fan that was not working and filled in the hole, and installed roofline venting. very responsive, did a great job - it all looks awesome!Services: Roof inspection, Roof repair, Attic venting installation

It was a great pleasure to work with John and his team. They were so helpful in helping us to navigate with our insurance company in identifying the damage and our exact need. They were extremely professional. Completed the project in a very timely manner after the work was approved by our insurance company. We are quite satisfied with the results and when the job was complete we found that they did a great job of making sure they left the sight in excellent shape. We have found not nails or other debris from the job. I have and will recommend the LJS team to anyone who has any roofing issue.

I had asked John to assess my daughter’s roof earlier this year. I was fully prepared to have the work done, and was impressed with LJS and wanted them to do the work. John inspected the roof, and unlike the other companies I had gotten estimates from, he told me that the roof did not need replaced and still had 8 or so years of life remaining.I was SO impressed by his honesty and integrity that I have his company replace the roof on my son’s home - which DID need it! The job was complicated by the need for odd sized skylights. John communicated with me throughout the process. He was personally involved, explained every step, and followed up after the job was completed. He was professional, but friendly. After having quite a bit of hail/wind damage from a summer storm, LJS Contractors handled everything from the initial inspection to working with the insurance company and then ultimately replacing the roof, gutters and skylights. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. I would gladly call them again. My home was damaged due to severe storm last year, I'm a single lady and not very comfortable hiring people but LJS Home Improvement Contractors were recommended by family and they were amazing, start to finish, Kris is great setting up appointments and John was great dealing with insurance people and overseeing the work his crew was doing. I am so happy with all the work they did I would and have highly recommended them to family and friends. It's so nice having a local company out there you can trust. These guys are the BEST!!!!!

I was really impressed with John and his crew. They did a great job on my roof and I was amazed at how quickly they were done. John was at the job site and even took the time to give some tips on my shed project (I am shingling it myself). John helped us when our basement got flooded last week. He is very knowledgeable and thorough and cares about his customers letting them know what he is doing every step of the way. He does great work and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend him anytime you have a problem with your house!

We had storm damage to our roof and John came over immediately to assist. He was very professional and helped us throughout the entire process, very knowledgeable of the insurance processes. He had a wide variety of shingles to choose from. The entire 2,700 sq. ft roof was completed in a day. Roof looks better then when the house was built very pleased with our roof.

We just had LJS Contractors replace the roof and gutters on our house and detached garage. They did a fabulous job from start to finish. John came out inspected all the damage, told us what all needed to be done. I sent all the documentation, and photos to my insurance company. Never had any issues. Once it was approved from insurance company, he gave the date range he would be out there and he was actually a couple days early which was wonderful. Between starting and finishing took maybe 2 weeks to complete, they have to do the roof first then gutters. which everything turned out better then expected. He did have to add some more vents to the roof because we have an older home so up to code specs have been changed. Insurance company paid for it. Over all we are very pleased with everything. We will be contacting them if we ever need anything else done.
