I received excellent service from Sebastian, Jeremy and Josh. Great guys! They responded quickly when I contacted Hays + Sons, after a serious roof leak left my office building extremely wet, causing damage. Sebastian and Jeremy came out daily and were both very knowledgable, kind, courteous, caring and efficient. Lindsey was also very helpful and extremely kind to work with! I was so impressed with how quickly Hays + Sons showed up when we had a water leak from our bathtub and needed to dry out some drywall. Within 30 minutes of talking with them on the phone, they were at my house in person, setting up fans to get everything dried before additional problems occurred. They did not contact us for a week after given our info. Then they lied stating they had called a couple times the previous week. Representative showed up 15 minutes late for appointment without contact to let us know he was running late. We were told certain info would be emailed and it wasn’t. Charged for winterizing that wasn’t done. We have since been informed by others they do not work well. I cannot say with whom we talked about their services because of the positions these people hold. I just wish we had spoken with them before using this company so we could have actually been helped. We had a roof leak and filed a claim with insurance they recommended hayes + sons for the project. Jo horsley came out to give us the estimate and was great through the whole process. Vincent Bohanon came out as well to go over details. They both got the ball rolling with insurance and had a crew out the next week. They were done in a matter of hours. The finished product was perfect we had no issues with the work done. I highly recommend hayes + sons to anybody looking for any work they need.

Had extensive water damage to multiple rooms. Called Hays and Sons at the end of the business day and within an hour they had a mitigation specialist at the house. First thing the following morning a crew was here removing damaged materials and drying out the rooms as well as the space between the 1st and 2nd floor. Even before everything had time to dry, Joe, who managed the repair process, was already in contact with me making plans to get our house back in order and repaired as soon as possible. Joe was always available by phone and email and was able to respond typically within an hour of my contacting him. Joe and the repair crew were as accommodating as possible as while trying to work around us while we were still living in the house. The repair team was very polite and professional and Joe provided plenty of samples of materials for us to choose from and walked us through what was available to us as we were making decisions on comparable materials to replace the damaged ones. Everyone I dealt with from the company via email, telephone, or in person was very courteous and willing to answer any questions we had. They even dealt with our insurance company directly which was a HUGE stress relief. I am very pleased with the job they did on our house and would definitely recommend Hays & Sons to anyone who finds themselves in a situation that requires home restoration.

From the first day that Joe, Vince, Jay, Maria, Sarah & Chris and all there crew walked in my door they made me feel like I mattered, I was important, this was there home, they took good care of us worked around us, always professional did excellent work I have never ever had an experience or customer service like this before in my life. This is what customer service is about and we do not have that in America anymore this group of people care about there customers the company they work for and each other they all work very well today never missed a beat. I could not be more happy with this group of people and if I had the money I would have gave them all a big tip. Its people like this, the customer service they provide that make a company succeed. HAYS AND SONS ON WEST 8th STREET IN MUNCIE, IN.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!I stayed at my parents house when my father passed away in MAY 2021.I noticed that the living room wall had bulged and cracked from where the roof had been leaking.It took some doing, but I talked my mom into filing an insurance claim.The insurance company sent out this company to give the damage estimate. (November 2021) Mom got the insurance check in December and turned it over to this company to do the repairs.She contacted them in mid-January and told them that she had to put the work on hold because of her health.She passed away in March 2022.My sister contacted them in April to set up a date for them to start the repairs.IT TOOK THEM TWO MONTHS JUST TO CALL HER BACK.They was supposed to start the repairs on July 5, 2022. They didn't get started on the repairs until around the 20th of July. Told my sister that it would be a 7-10 day (business days) job.They didn't finish the repairs until August 29 2022.They left their equipment in the house and we had to return it to the company on the day that we were closing on the sale of the house.VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS.DON'T USE THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY IFTHE INSURANCE COMPANY SENDS THEMOUT. THEY SUB-CONTRACT EVERY ASPECTOF THE RESTORATION AND ARE NEVERTHERE TO DO THE WORK WHEN THEY SAYTHEY WILL BE.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

We wouldn’t recommend Hays and Sons to anyone! (Maybe different locations are better than others.) The entire process of our homes construction was a major headache! We are currently 4 months back into our home, with a few areas of uncompleted work and poor excuses as to why. We have been in contact with our project manager as well as the general manager with no progress and work still uncompleted. General manager isn’t even returning phone calls at this point. Very disappointing, it was obvious to us this company is solely about the amount of money they can pocket from a project! We simply want the little tasks completed and their lock box removed from our home! Should have NEVER paid in full with the job not being completed, as now nobody wants to communicate or complete the work.

Clients of McQuiston Insurance Agency have used Hays and Sons many times over the years. Always good results and satisfied customers. Well, I have a personal story. From the late December windstorm, I had a large limb damage a portion of my roof. I contacted Scott Rector @ Hays & Sons and an estimator was assessing the damage the next morning. Within a few days, the roof was replaced. The roofer noticed a couple of other issues and took the time to make those needed repairs also. As owner of McQuiston Insurance, I will no problem in recommending Hays and Sons for restoration repair!

We first used Hays & Son (Brian Bell) when we had roof damage and water damage at our church. They were quick and courteous and did everything they said they would at the quoted price. Our project manager was Tom Terrell.I also used them while I was Maintenance Director at Golden Living. They sent Jarron Kaelin out and he took care of some tree removal and landscaping for us. They were timely (there when they said they would be) and did an excellent job of cleaning up after the tree removal.
