David's first project for us was rebuilding custom front porch railings about three years ago. When we recently decided to replace our aging, high-maintenance deck with Trex, he was the only contractor we even considered. Not only is the new deck gorgeous, but he also successfully solved the challenge of greatly improving the under-deck access to the basement, including replacing an entry door. David does excellent, high quality work, has fair and honest pricing, and is meticulous about job site cleanup. Perhaps the quality I appreciate the most, however, is his communication--he's both very responsive to emails and texts, and always provides updates about arrival times, next steps, etc. Last but not least, he made sure our senior dog had temporary access to the yard during the project. Highly recommend!

David built a platform for our 700 square foot yurt. Because it was located on commercial property, the permitting and engineering ended up being more extensive than we anticipated. Even with lots of delays, extra work, and frustrations, none of which were his fault, David stuck with the job and his end product was exceptionally high quality. He designed our deck and steps to specific heights for two elderly women to use,(and they can without any help), also such a smooth transition from deck to threshold through door that there walkers roll smooth no hassle and no stop and push. David is honest, hard working, and professional. He is very straight forward with his pricing. We needed a deck repaired and were hoping to get floating benches installed. I contacted him on a Sunday, he stopped by our house within the hour, gave me a rough estimate on the cost, started the work on Tuesday, and was complete on Friday. My wife and I were thrilled with the work and the speed at which it was completed. Again, the cost was very reasonable. We showed him a photo of benches we liked and he was able to build them just like the photos. I had 3 other quotes before I found Deck Doktor, but I wasn't comfortable with the contractors so I kept searching. So glad I found David! He is awesome! He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. It's hard to find a contractor like that. My fence is beautiful and sturdy, and the price was very reasonable! David is honest, professional and personable. I was very comfortable throughout the entire process. He cleans up after himself too!
